The effectiveness of SIMTRONICS remote detectors (accuracy, fast response time and high reliability) guarantees the ultimate protection against the risks associated with gases in industrial environments.
The housings are given a special surface treatment to improve their resistance to corrosion (stainless steel or aluminium housings).
The measurement process is based on OXYCOL™ low temperature catalytic oxidation, enabling detection of all combustible gases and gives the detector an extremely long lifetime.
All the explosimeters are equipped with :
• An exclusive system of alarm verification in case of scale overrun,
• A linear response,
• A high stability,
• A very short response time.
The interchangeable and removable cartridges (as well as the support independent from the electronic box) make the remote detector easy to use and maintain.
All commands, configurations and readouts are remotely accessible using the infrared remote controller. |

SIMTRONICS “TT63ES” detector is a semi-conductor sensor type with a very low cross sensitivity to other gas.
The basic principle is the resistance variation of a tin oxide semi-conductor. The inflammable gas reacts with the oxygen absorbed at the surface of the semi-conductor, and causes the electric resistance to decrease. The nature of the semi-conductor, its doping and its service temperature contribute to better detectivity of certain gases.
When other semiconductor on the market need to smell gas every week to avoid the sensor to fall asleep, the SIMTRONICSsemiconductor sensor only needs a six-month or one year calibration test.
Modern electronics provides high performance for humidity and temperature rate compensation and long term stability. The circuits ensuring the supply to the sensor, the professional amplifier and the interface are grouped in the flameproof enclosure onto which the detection probe is secured. |

• Increased sensitivity for critical applications
The GD10PE is designed for critical applications involving large volumes of air with high velocity. The kind of applications that require reliable detection of low gas concentrations and a fast response.
Typical critical applications include the monitoring of air intakes for HVAC systems in living quarters or professional generators, and monitoring for potential gas leakages in areas with high temperatures in gas turbine packages.
The GD10PE is a stable instrument, and with a measuring range of 0 – 20%LEL the sensitivity for the GD10PE is 5 times higher than standard point detectors. GD10PE is designed for installation in professional air ducts and for mounting through walls and bulkheads in places such as pump rooms.
• Based on SimSource™ IR-source
The patented, silicon-based SimSource™ IR-source has a number of unique features and is insensitive to shock and vibration.
Its long-term performance is stable. SimSource™ has an expected in-service life of 60 years exceeding all current competing technologies, which often have an expected in-service life of only 2 to 4 years. SimSource™ comes with an uncompromising 15 years warranty. SimSource™ does not need to be replaced during its service life.

GfG's fixed gas detection systems are available as easy to operate single point units or as larger systems with several hundred industrial transmitters. These multiple point systems consist of controllers and transmitters that communicate with each other. The transmitter changes the measured gas concentration to an electrical signal which is transfered to the controller. The controller shows the gas concentration in a display and immediately activates alarming devices in case of a gas leak. Advanced features such as data logging or online data transmission allow the user to easily monitor ambient changes in the environment. The Stand Alone unit is a combination of both transmitter and controller.
The transmitter's sensor is the "sense of smell" of a fixed gas detection system. The sensor is located in a metal sensor enclosure which is attached to the transmitter and converts the gas concentration into an electric signal. Electronics inside the transmitter changes this electrical signal for interference free transfer to the controller. The transmitter and the controller can be installed several 100 meters apart from each other.

Gas detection : O2, H2S, NH3, CO, NO, NO2, H2, SO2, Cl2, HCl, HCN…
The modern technologies used offer a high resistance to the humidity and temperature compensation as well as stability over time. In order to meet every requirement, SIMRAD Optronics ICARE proposes two different detection technologies :
• Electrochemical cells enabling a wide detection range and excellent selectivity.
• Semi-conductor cells providing extended detector lifetime.
The interchangeable and removable cartridge along with the wall mounting,
independent from the electronic housing, make this detector particularly simple to use.
• NH3 detection, low temperature
To meet needs of cold chains, a low temperature version enables detection down to -40°C. |

TGS 3870 is Figaro's new metal oxide semiconductor industrial gas sensor for the detection of both methane and carbon monoxide. Using a micro-bead gas sensing structure, both methane and carbon monoxide can be detected with a single sensor element by periodic application of two different heater voltages (high and low). Miniaturization of the gas sensing bead results in a heater power consumption of only 38mW (average).
TGS 3870 has low sensitivity to alcohol vapors (a typical interference gas in the residential environment) and has high durability, making the sensor ideal for consumer market gas alarms. |

| In many industrial applications, safety is ensured around the clock by a fixed gas detection system. Hazards can have several origins: the release of toxic gases, oxygen deficiency or enrichment as well as the presence of combustible gases and vapors. When detected at an early stage, countermeasures can be initiated to protect personnel, workplaces and equipment. |

The gas industrial measuring systems for explosive gases and vapors made by J. Dittrich Elektronic determine the concentration of explosive gases and vapors in air in an ambient temperature from -10 to +50° C.
A pellistor or semiconductor sensor detects methane (CH4), hydrogen (H2), propane (C3H8), alcohol and benzine; additional hydrocarbons on request.
The calibration is carried out with the aid of the respective test gas by means of a potentiometer; however, a certain amount of cross-sensitivity of the sensor with regard to the other substances always remains.
Low-cost infrared measuring system for methane
Since the cross-sensitivity of the sensors gives rise to problems when monitoring methane, J. Dittrich Elektronic developed a new infrared measuring system which detects specifically methane quicker, more accurately and at less cost than conventional infrared systems.

The Model IR2100 Infrared Point Detector is a microprocessor-based hydrocarbon manufacturers of gas detector that continuously professional monitors combustible gases and vapors within the lower explosive limit (LEL) and provides alarm indication.
All electronics are contained within an explosion-proof housing so that the IR2100's detector information can be processed locally. The IR2100 operates with a 4-20mA signal, which is proportional to 0 to 100% LEL gas concentration at the detector. RS-485 serial communications are MODBUS RTU compatible. The RS-485 output provides status, alarm, fault and other information for operation, troubleshooting or programming the unit. |
