The new extrex® 70-5 HV gear pump has a maximum ∆p of 200 bar and a 25% higher specific volume due to its wider gear design. The new extrex® gear pump is also available in models such as HP for ∆p up to 400 bar, RB for rubber processing, and the standard GP for regular extrusion process applications.

Maag Pump Systems Textron builds its gear pumps to a modular design that adapts easily to customers’ requirements and industrial standards.
Housings are available in iron, steel or stainless steel, with or without heating jackets. Bearings, shafts and gears offer a similarly wide choice of materials and configurations.
Five classes of axial clearance and eight classes of radial clearance, coupled with Maag’s expertise in simulation, allow individual pumps to be specified for the highest possible efficiency. A wide choice of seals ensures safety in demanding applications.

Mounting Options: The SteriLobe® range has cast stainless steel bolt-on feet which offer stable and robust support to the pump with the advantage of corrosion resistance. This enables the pumps to be mounted with shafts in the upper or lower position and for ports to be aligned horizontally or vertically.
Rotor Options: 316 SS Bi-Wing or Multi-Lobe rotor options offer clearances to 300°F (150°C), making them suitable for all CIP and SIP conditions. Closer tolerance rotors are also available for low viscosity / higher efficiency applications, and Multi-Lobe rotors are also available in non-galling Alloy 808.

Designed for "on-line" continuous shearing and mixing action. A choice of modularly interchangeable stators and rotors make it versatile for processing a wide variety of products. Variable speed drives may also be used to further adjust the shear and mixing affect. Texturizes to give a smooth body and texture to such products as ricotta cheese and food pastes. Emulsifies to make stable emulsions of products with both oil and water base ingredients; blends to provide continuous, on-line blending without air incorporation or lumps of dry product; reconstitutes to assist reconstitution of powdered products such as milk powders; suspends/disperses to give stable solids in liquid suspension; polishes to improve the appearance of products by providing a smoother and more uniform surface texture.

Viking in-line gear reducers offer reduction ratios from 2.6:1 to 35.1:1, with the ability to handle loads up to 260 kW. Solid input shaft or close-coupled input side adapters for IEC or NEMA motors offer mounting versatility. A second series of offset gear reducers, with ratios from 2.24:1 to 7.95:1, allows rotation of the input shaft to match motor height for easy mounting, while maintaining output shaft height. They are capable of loads to 30 kW.
