Granulators - SMP Series
A series of SMP models for the processing of pipes and profiles. These are self-feeding machines with a horizontal hopper for the processing of long pipes and profiles (6 and more meters, 230 and more inches). An additional feed hopper for offcuts and shorter pieces is available as well.

Collecting, storing and grinding sprues, off-spec parts or scraps from extrusion, as it is still quite normal in many factories, is an unnecessary and dated interruption of the manufacturing process.
The beside-the-press granulators of Herbold Meckesheim GmbH are the logical link between waste disposal and production. Placed directly beside or under the production equipment in permanent operation, they save stock-keeping costs and personal expenses. Specific feeding and disposal facilities for each application, and the large choice of accessories, allow to adapt the granulators to any production machine.

Granulators - SML Series
The SML models are machines for normal, everyday use in the plastics industry, besides the press or extruder as the central granulator for larger parts, as edge trim cutters and for many more application possibilities.
Granulators of the SML series are available with rotor diameters from 220 to 800 mm (8 to 30 inches), a working width of 300 to 1450 mm (12 to 56 inches) and drive motors from 5.5 kW to 160 kW (7.5 to 210 HP). The C-types of the SML series are available with a space-saving fully integrated sound enclosure.

Granulators - SMS Series
The SMS models are machines for extraordinary and heavy duty use: the size reduction of heavy lumps, tough fibers, extremely thin films or simply very large material throughputs. We manufacture machines with a working width from 500 to 2000 mm (20 to 78 inches) and motors from 22 kW to 250 kW (30 HP to 340 HP). The SMS models are preferably and widely used in the plastics and cable recycling industries, as they can be modified – with an equally high throughput – from the grinding of big and voluminous packing devices (barrels, crates, containers) to the grinding of large and heavy lumps and sheets.
SMS 56/100 with arrow rotor
Many SMS models are also available as washing granulators. They will granulate dirty plastics under high inputs of water. The friction during the granulation results in a very efficient washing. So, washing and size reduction are being combined in one single machine.

Granulators – the ideal technology for the concept of several machines in a line or for use as a single machine – especially for plants for effective recovery of reusable waste. The efficient gate shears principle guarantees the defined size reduction of various materials in a single pass. Tires, cables or electronic scrap (WEEE), aluminium, shredder light fraction (SLF), oil filters, etc.
Rotor and stator are equipped with high quality solid knives. The material is cleanly sheared off between rotor and stator – a defined granulate is formed by the perforated sieves mounted below the rotor. The highly efficient gate shears principle works with very small cutting gaps – a precondition for optimal performances and best separation of materials.
Different variants of the equipment for the gate shears principle allow the preparation of a variety of different granulates, depending on the material. Owing to their solid construction, the granulators from ERDWICH have extremely long service lives.

The GSC compact/sound proof granulator series are designed with a fully enclosed sound proof box enclosure resulting in a extremely quite operation. The sound proof enclosure ensures easy and quick access to the cutting chamber during rotor/stator knife servicing and screen removal. The slow-speed granulators in the ZERMA GSL range from 180/120 to 180/430 have been specially developed as slow-running grinders for applications in the injection-molding sector.
The material to be granulated is fed via a sound-absorbing feed hopper that is available in a range of variants to suit the application.
The slow-speed granulators of this range are mounted on either low or high level baseframes, depending on application, and with suction trough/ bag fill chute to suit. With these numerous options, the slow speed granulators can be tailored to an extremely wide range of applications.
In addition to the advantages common to all slow-running grinders such as low noise characteristics and near dust-free product, GSL 180/120 to GSL 180/430 stand out due to their special knife, rotor, ‘quick-snap’ opening and good accessibility features.

Cumberland's A Series 1000X granulator runs quietly and are extremely versatile, they can be used with robot feed, conveyor feed or hand feed applications.
