SmartLX Consistency Transmitter
The simple and reliable design of the SmartLX Consistency Transmitter provides reliable consistency measurement in mechanical pulp processes without requiring routine maintenance. The SmartLX operates in the electromagnetic near-infrared range, using the ability of fibers to scatter and absorb light. This measurement principle has been developed specifically for mechanical pulp processes where the shear forces caused by fiber flow are too minute to be detected by shear force-based transmitters.
The SmartLX is not affected by flow rate variations and can, therefore, be installed in both laminary and turbulent flow. Its built-in compensation capability ensures that changes in the temperature of either the pulp or its electronic components do not interrupt or distort consistency measurement.
The SmartLX is suited for all pulps consisting of a single grade, or containing a fixed filler ratio, in a consistency range of 0.5% to 5% Cs. It is also good for measuring a variety of low consistency pulps (0.5% to 2% Cs) in SWG, TMP, PGW and CTMP plants, including pulps flowing to screens, exiting the latency removal chest, or rejected from the screen. Specific calibration curves for various pulps are stored in the SmartLX transmitter's memory, making calibration easy. In most cases, one-point calibration is adequate since the transmitter electronics handle the linear calculations.

Stuart SMP30 Melting point apparatus
Maximum temperature 400°C
Patented head up display
Integrated cooling 350°C to 50°C in 10 minutes
Large easy to read user friendly interface
Designed for fast accurate determination of melting points, the SMP30 can take three samples simultaneously within the optimised heating block. To allow maximum flexibility a plateau facility is included with variable ramp rate between 0.5 and 10°C in 0.1°C increments. The tubes are illuminated with bright white LED's to give the clearest view of the samples during the melt. The block has been designed for easy access for cleaning, the front of the head is fully removable to allow full access to the micro furnace.
The SMP30 has a large clear back lit alphanumeric LCD display, running the menu system which clearly guides you through the melting process with comprehensive directions. Language is switchable between English, German, French and Italian. It is possible to record up to 8 events in memory for each of the three sample tubes.
The SMP30 features the patent pending head up display, this unique feature displays a floating image of the block temperature, visible through the eyepiece, in front of the tubes. The head up display eliminates the need for the user to keep switching their gaze between the tubes and the temperature display, through the eyepiece they can now see both at once.
An accessory printer is available separately to produce a written record of the melt, and all units are supplied with a calibration certificate showing individual serial numbers for traceability.

In some critical bolting applications, factors such as friction or bolt/joint geometry are such that the measurement of applied torque alone will not provide the degree of accuracy necessary to control the preload within the required limits. Likewise, many critical applications also demand that bolt preload be monitored over the service life of the fastener as part of a predictive or preventative maintenance program. In these applications, ultrasonic measurement of fastener elongation and/or load has frequently proven to be the most accurate, reliable and cost effective solution.
Ultrasonic measurement of bolt preload is made possible by introducing a sonic pulse at one end of the fastener and accurately measuring the time of flight (TOF) required for the echo to return from the opposite end; using material constants, the USM-II converts this TOF into an "ultrasonic length" of the fastener, providing a baseline from which future measurements will be made. When the fastener is tightened, the TOF increases and the USM-II will again utilize material constants to eliminate the effects of stress and temperature variations on sound velocity, providing an accurate elongation or load measurement.
The USM-II uses state of the art hardware and software to achieve these measurements with maximum automation, and minimizes the need for operator interpretation. Offering digital recordation and transmission of data, as well as calibrated analog signal output the USM-II provides a complete system for measurement, recordation, and control of fastener tension in the most demanding applications.

The wish of operators and technologists in the wood-based panel industry to scan the raw density profile online during the running production has been regarded as impractical for many years.
By means of the GreCon Inline Raw Density Profile Measuring System StenOgraph, it is possible for the first time to scan the raw density profile, as one of the most important criteria of the quality of particle board and fibreboard, online after continuous presses.
This enables the operator to influence the raw density profile and thus the features of MDF and particle board during the production process.
Shorter running-in times of new production plants and during product changes as well as an optimised production process lead to substantial savings in cost and material while the panel quality is improved.

PROCESS LOW FLOW RATE LIQUID IN-LINE DENSITY METERS DC-30 SERIES
LEMIS process uses the proven vibrating element technology which is widely accepted as the most accurate of continuous density measurement. It is based on the frequency changing of the sensitive unit and resistance of the built-in temperature sensor in dependence of characteristics of measured liquid. The oscillation period of the sensitive unit mainly depends on density and temperature of measured liquid.
Continuous monitoring optimizes, controls and manages the processes. DC-30 series has a variety of applications, where low flow rate does not allow to install standard high flow systems. PC connection allows distance control for the most critical parameters in such processes as organic synthesis and chemical reactions in reactors.
New age of LEMIS process combined meters measure various critical parameters: density, concentration, dynamic viscosity, kinematic viscosity, temperature. Two meters in one device saving cost of installation and maintenance!

PORTABLE LIQUID IN-TANK DENSITY METERS DM-250 SERIES
Portable Submersible Density meter DM-250.1 and DM-250.2 are best suited for liquid density and temperature measurements directly in the storage or process tanks (up to 30 meters depth). No labor extensive and errors critical sampling required. Instead, the sensor of DM-250.1 and DM-250.2 are submersed at any required level and record spot density and real temperature at that point directly in the liquid. The operation personal can get in minutes the average density in the tank and its density / temperature / level profile, for example, at every meter. DM-250.3 is best for situation when DM-250.1 and DM-250.2 could not be installed. Just take a sample that is over a hundred mililitres of sample and the equipment will give you the results in seconds! Hundreds of measurements can be stored locally and future transferred to a PC or printer via built-in Bluetooth connectivity.
Density determination directly in the tanks is faster, easier, more precise and cost effective comparing with conventional technique requiring sampling and use of glass hydrometers by qualified personal. That is why the DM-250 series portable density meters from LEMIS process have found wide application, first of all in oil industry upstream and downstream operations where control of quality (density) and quantity (mass) of petroleum products at movement and storage is very critical.
New age of LEMIS process combined meters measure various critical parameters: density, concentration, dynamic viscosity, kinematic viscosity, temperature. Two meters in one device saving cost of installation and maintenance!
