The atmospheric chamber furnaces built by Ipsen have a modular design and are made of standardised assemblies. The furnace casing consists of a sturdy sheet steel structure.
The light-weight refractory lining inside the furnace is designed for temperatures well above the working temperature and has an extremely long service life.
Because of their modular design, our furnace systems can be customized as necessary to meet the client's specific needs. The ICTE® software family developed especially for the heat-treatment industry allows charge transfer, loading and unloading to be linked to provide fully automatic systems that can be integrated perfectly into the production flow.

We manufacture continuous belt furnaces under controlled atmospheres. Furnaces sizes ranges from lab size 100mm belt width up to 2 x 600 twin belt furnaces.
Furnaces are available in electrical and gas heated versions. LED (low energy dewaxing) delube zone, high temperature sintering zone, quench cooling and convective cooling units can be part of the heat treatment line.
Controlled atmosphere furnaces at tempertures up to 1220°C are made for special metallurical applications.
Annealing furnaces with a belt width range of 100mm up to 1200mm under controlled atmosphere for a variaty of applications are available. Belt furnaces are electrical or gas heated;

Belt furnaces with quenching tank
Treatments:
- Carburising - Water quenching, polymer,
- Austenitisation oil and/or salt
- Carbonitriding - Tempering under N2 or air

Design Features:
- Electric or gas heating.
- Gas-tight alloy muffle, for perfect furnace atmosphere control and low protective gas consumption.
- Choice of protective gas systems, for external supply or built-in generator, to suit all industrial requirements.
- Unique SAFED mesh belt drive system, with reciprocating hearth plate, for smooth parts transport and low belt wear.
- Automatic control of all process parameters, for versatility and reproducibility..
Operation:
Workpieces are loaded in bulk or positioned on the mesh belt at the loading station. They pass through several heating zones inside the gas-tight muffle to the chute and drop into the quench. The workpieces are then retrieved from the quench tank by a conveyor.

Main use:
Furnaces type T are designed for continuous hardening of mass produced steel parts.
Engineered for high precision and excellent reproducibility they meet the most stringent metallurgical requirements.
Typical heat treatment applications, at temperature
up to 950 °C:
- Hardening or case hardening, i.e. gas carburizing and carbonitriding with oil or polymer quench.
- Austempering and Martempering with salt bath quench.
- SAFED OXYCAD® ontinuous nitrocarburizing process.
Hardening furnaces type T for austempering and martempering applications. The hardening furnace type T may be equipped with a salt quench tank designed for molten salt up to 400 °C.
Quench tank type GS:
The tank has thermal insulation and a heated hood over the discharge conveyor to keep parts at temperature. Heating and cooling systems are provided for heating up and holding the salt at the required temperature.

Main use:
Furnaces type BdT are used for tempering steel parts at temperatures up from 650 °C, where a protective atmosphere is required.

The GARVENS XS3 CC H CombiChecker is a HACCP compliant in-line checkweighing and metal detection combination system. These two world-leading product inspection technologies combined with the very hygienic design make this checkweighing combination the food industry Nr. 1 brand protection choice.
The XS3 CC H checkweigher is suitable for dynamically weighing products up to 6000g with an accuracy from ± 0.1 g and a maximum throughput of 400 ppm.
Whilst the checkweigher measures product weights fast and precisely, rejecting out of tolerance products, the metal detector reliably detects and rejects products contaminated by metal. Common contaminants which are detected range from nuts and bolts down to small metal filings, staples, needles or pieces of wire. The rejection of badproducts is ensured by two rejecting devices so that metal-contaminated and off-weight products can be separately rejected.
Product and water build-up/contamination is minimized by avoiding level surfaces on the conveyor and weighcell supports, as well as the exclusive use of round tubes on the horizontal section of the frame. The patented, minimal contact, conveyor support clamps and open frame construction facilitate easy cleaning. Seam welding improves hygiene and reduces the risk of bacteria build-up.

GLS closed aperture, tunnel metal detectors are equipped with digital technology and used for inspecting bulk materials or individually packaged product on belt conveyors, material slides or vibratory conveyors.
GLS metal detection systems detect all ferrous and non-ferrous metals (steel, stainless steel, aluminium etc ), even those which may be contained in the product. If metal is detected a signal is sent to the process controller or the reject unit is activated.
The enclosed type of construction ensures that very high sensitivity is achieved throughout the entire tunnel area. For this reason the GLS range is highly suited to precise applications in the food industry.
The size of the detector is dependent upon application, conveyor belt width and product height.

GF PRIMUS metal separation systems remove magnetic and non-magnetic metal particles (steel, stainless steel, aluminium etc) from pneumatically conveyed bulk materials such as granulates and reground material. Metal contaminants (and inclusions) are removed by means of a reject flap (‘Quick Flap System’) without any interruption to the material flow, even at high flow rates.. Contaminated material is rejected into a container. The reject container is emptied automatically. The GF PRIMUS metal separation system is primarily used in industries where hygiene standards are less important. It is used for inspecting dry bulk materials.
