Teflon® immersion heater
The technology of the immersion heater Teflon®, entirely realized in their workshops, is based on a cable heating of weak load and inertia thermics, which allows a soft and precise diffusion of heat. It is then formatted so as to obtain a large surface of exchange in small overall dimensions. This weak load generates one lifespan of the immersion heater but as product heated more important as with a traditional immersion heater of higher load. The range of power S `extends from 0,5 kw to 15 kw. |
|
Applications:
Dies, Heat Sealing, Hot Melt Adhesive, Plastic Molding, Platens, Shoe Machinery.
U.L. Recognized - E56973 C.S.A. Certified - 016386-0-000
Features :
-Elements are designed for maximum: Watt density, temperature, heat transfer, and heater life.
-The useful life of a cartridge heating element is determined by how quickly the heat generated in the resistance
wire can be dissipated to the outside sheath. With low and moderate watt density elements, such as Hotwatt's
standard line, the conventional method of inserting helical coils in formed ceramics is an entirely satisfactory
method of construction because the wire temperature relative to sheath temperature even though considerably
higher, is still well within safe long-life operating temperatures.
-The Superwatt cartridge heater accelerates the transfer of heat from the resistance wire to the sheath. This is
accomplished by relocating the wire so that it is closer to the sheath; and swaging the outside diameter of the
heater, thereby compressing the magnesium oxide filler so that it becomes an improved conductor of heat from
the wire while maintaining its dielectric properties. (See diagram below). By improving the heat transfer rate, it
is possible to manufacture elements of higher densities because the differential between the wire temperature
and the sheath temperature has been minimized.
-Long, trouble free service.

PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) inks.
The resistors, which are silk printed with these inks, are not constant, but display a substantial increase whenever the temperature rises.
This behaviour leads to a reduction of the heat produced, when a higher temperature is reached.
This feature is very important especially as far as safety of use is concerned, because resistors of this type are self-limiting. |
|
Alper S.R.L is a leading Company in the development and production of flexible electrical resistors called PTF (Polymer Thick Film).
Thanks to the use of special conductive inks or pastes printed on polyester sheet, ALPER is in a position to produce resistors in many shapes and very reduced thicknesses (generally 0.2 mm) to suit the specifications of the end product.
The inks, that have been developed by our Company, in some particular conditions may show PTC features (Positive Temperature Coefficient); this means that they are able to limit the heat produced, with no need to apply a thermostat and with no risk of overheating.
This type of resistor offers many advantages when compared with the more traditional electrical resistors now on the market.
The particular features of PTF heaters make them so versatile that they can be employed in a wide range of applications in both the domestic and industrial sector.

The Hotwatt Square and Rectangular Cartridge Heater is designed to distribute maximum heat within a desired area. Because they are completely enclosed, square units will furnish more usable heat for a given wattage than a comparable strip heater attached to the exterior of a mod, platen, or other equipment.
The units are inserted in a milled slot, permitting greater lengths than would be feasible with a drilled or reamed hole. Close dimensional tolerances are held to permit intimate fit for best heat transfer to surrounding medium.
Heating elements arranged just beneath outside surface for maximum heat transfer, minimum wire temperature, and faster heating.
Maximum surface temperatures up to 1200°F. Designations are etched on the sheath to preserve accurate shape.
Long, trouble free service.

Forced circulation fluid heaters are particularly suited to the heating of liquids such as water, superheated water, heavy oil, fuels, oils and thermal fluids and gases under pressure such as air, steam (superheater), nitrogen, hydrogen, methane, etc.
Defined specifically for each industrial application, these heaters consist of one or more steel or stainless steel bodies linked hydraulically in series and/or in parallel and meet the requirements conforming to the PED European Directive.
To prevent corrosion problems related to the working fluid and operation temperature, the elements are built with the appropriate stainless steel. The bundle spacers are designed to obtain the optimal heat exchange coefficient. The heating array, with a maximum immersion length of 3300 mm, can be equipped with temperature control devices to regulate the sheath watt density (W/cm²) as a function of parameters such as fluid flow, pressure, viscosity, fluid temperature, sheath skin temperature, etc…
Built in accordance with the construction codes specified for the pressure and temperature in question (CODAP, ASME, TEMA, STOOMWEZEN…), these assemblies allow very high power ratings to be reached (= 2000 kW)
Devices can be produced according to ATEX directives.

DRUM HEATERS - for 200 litre barrels.
Drum Heaters facilitate the handling of solidified or viscous materials like adhesives, waxes, tar, chemicals, oils etc. They eliminate cumbersome methods and high investments, associated with steam and oil or fire wood heating.
Construction
Drum Heaters consist of a cylindrical metal cover carrying the flexible heating elements. A 2" thick thermal lagging of glass wool provides insulation and the metal casing makes for a rugged unit that can be wrapped snugly around the drum. The Drum Heater is hinged, and is mounted on castors for convenience. A base heater, also encapsulated in metal provides bottom heating. Control Panel incorporating thermostatic control is provided with the heaters. |
