HMC HORIZONTAL SPINDLE
Haas horizontal machines have the capacity to cut alloy steels, stainless steels, cast iron and high-nickel alloys, yet also provide the speed necessary for aluminum alloys. With Haas’ built-in rotary tables and pallet changers, productivity doubles over vertical machining centers.
The Haas EC-1600 is a 50-taper machining center with 1626 x 1016 x 813 mm xyz travels, 1626 x 813 mm table and 6000-rpm, geared-head spindle. The standard T-slot table holds parts up to 10000 lb, and the spindle is powered by a 30-hp vector drive system. A 30-pocket side-mount tool changer is standard.
The Haas EC-400 has a host of high-productivity standard features. The EC-400 has a generous work cube of 508 x 508 x 508 mm, dual 400 mm pallets with 1000-lb load capacity, incremental (1degree) indexing, a large-volume coolant system and triple-auger chip removal. A side-mount tool changer and 1000-ipm rapids are also standard, and a wide range of options is available.
The Haas EC-500 has a larger work cube of 813 x 508 x 711 mm, dual 500 mm pallets with 1000-lb load capacity. A side-mount tool changer and 1000-ipm rapids are also standard, and a wide range of options is available to boost performance still further.
The EC 400 and the EC500 have inline, direct-drive spindle systems that couple the motor directly to the spindle, which means less vibration, heat and noise than belt- or gear-driven systems. This yields superior surface finishes, excellent thermal stability and quieter operation. Their standard 40-taper, 8000-rpm spindles are powered by 20-hp vector dual drive systems.

The F2F machine is a horizontal double-spindle machining center developed to double productivity while maintaining the high flexibility that is typical of single-spindle machining centers. The main advantage of this innovative machining center is the presence of two opposite independent spindles that provide the ultimate in both output and flexibility. When high outputs are required, two parts per cycle can be machined, or one large part can be machined on both sides simultaneously. When flexibility becomes more important than output, two different parts can be machined simultaneously. The M20 model is a horizontal milling machine with movable column, and three controlled axes (longitudinal travel of the column, vertical and transversal of the head) with structures made of Italian Meehanite castiron.
The two main applications are:
1.machining of large workpieces that could be fixed on plane and/or prepared on rotary or rotary travelling systems;.
2.Machining with a pendular motion way enabling to create so called “Islands”, where several parts can be machined and simultaneously other parts can be set up due the reciprocating movements.
The machine functionality can be increased by application of milling or faced head, automatic head changer, automatic tool changer and rotary travelling systems.
