Tygon® Antimicrobial tubing
Growth of microbes on many materials can lead to foul odors, discoloration and formation of mildew and biofilm. In the case of tubing, microbes can contaminate the material being transferred as well as degrade the tubing itself.
Formulated with a silver based compound on the inner surface at the point of fluid contact Antimicrobial Tygon® is effective against a broad spectrum of microorganisms.
Antimicrobial Tygon® outer surface can also be treated in case bacterias buildup on the O.D. is a concern. Cleaning procedures, such as washing with detergent and hot water can kill microbes. But this process can be time consuming and costly, and does not provide residual protection against fresh contamination. The best way to provide protection against contamination is to use safe and durable Antimicrobial Tygon®.

Watson-Marlow tubing is available in seven materials and over forty sizes, giving an extraordinary range of chemical and application capability. Watson-Marlow pumps are designed for Watson-Marlow tubing tolerances and performance, and no other tubing will provide comparable results.
Materials include; Marprene, Bioprene, PumpSil,
Sta-Pure, Chem-Sure, Silicone, PVC, Neoprene and Fluorel. |

Tubing and hoses
The tubing is as important as the pump because:
Its restitution creates suction lift
Its strength resists pressure
Its flex resistance determines pumping life
Its bore decides the flow rate
Its wall thickness controls pumping efficiency.
Ordinary tubing is not designed for peristaltic pumping, and only Watson-Marlow precision pump tubing will give the best results in a peristaltic pump. The results of using any other tubing are unpredictable, and may jeopardise your process.
Hoses for high pressure hosepumps
Watson-Marlow Bredel's innovative hose design and unique ground construction has created the benchmark in hose performance and life. The unique design ensures that compression forces are evenly applied, and the enormous restitutional ability of the hose creates powerful suction handling and accurate metering capabilities. |

Tygoprene® Tubing
Alternative to silicones and PVC when longer pump tubing life on peristaltic pump is required Tygoprene® XL-60 offers an outstanding flexibility, a resistance to ozone, oxygen and ageing.
Translucent to ease visual inspection, it offers also excellent chemical resistance to a wide range of fluids, including acids and bases. As Tygoprene® has low extractables, it is an ideal choice for dosing and transfer ink, detergents and food products.
In house testing also indicates a UL 94-HB flammability rating. |

Tygon® 2075 ultra chemical tubing
Tygon® Ultra Chemical Resistant Tubing offers an unequaled combination of chemical resistance, clarity and flexibility. Tygon® 2075 is virtually unaffected by acids, bases, ketones, salts and alcohols, fitting the requirements of many applications from battery acid filling to hazardous material handling. It's entirely plasticizer-free, eliminating fluid contamination and the premature embrittlement and cracking common with many flexible tubings. Its exceptionally smooth inner surface inhibits particulate buildup and reduces the potential for
contamination. |

SPIRAFLEX®
Maximum heat exchange with no lime deposits
This helically corrugated pipe creates turbulence which continuously swirls and exchanges the water. Resulting from the design, the core flow has a superimposed swirling component which creates additional turbulence. This produces maximum heat exchange as well as eliminating lime deposits.
Benefits at a glance :
- surface is up to 50% larger
- heat exchange is maximized thanks to optimized wall thickness
- extremely flexible
- lime deposits are prevented by the turbulent water flow
- quality assurance with helium testing
- manufacture in "endless lengths"
- can withstand large mechanical loads
- more compact design with hot water tanks
- improved hygiene as there is no 'dead water' zone
- special items can be produced (e.g. special steel varieties, wall thicknesses, etc)
- delivery: drums, rings or registers
Areas of application
Heat/cold exchangers for hot water tanks, geothermal applications, waste water heat |
