Our gas power plants are designed for optimal performance in a wide variety of decentralized power production in both intermediate and baseload applications, giving full output and high perfomance in hot and dry conditions as well as at high altitudes.
These power plants ranging from 4 to 150 MW are based on 4-17 MW engine units operating on natural gas or in dual-fuel mode (natural gas/liquid fuel oil).
Minimize initial investment and business risks
Prefabricated and pretested modules guarantee consistent quality and performance and make on-site installation simply a matter of assembling and connecting the modules. The possibility of stepwise expansion minimizes initial investment and business risks.
The modular design of our power plants enables fast-track delivery anywhere in the world, typically less than 7 months for a 50 MW plant. Our deliveries range from either equipment supply, or equipment and engineering delivery, to complete turnkey projects.

Short reaction times and particularly high efficiency: the principles of a gas turbine and steam power plant are combined in a combined-cycle power plant. Efficiencies of up to 60% can be obtained by using a gas and a (downstream-arranged) steam turbine. Under combined operations (with integrated district heating supply) efficiencies of around 90% can be had.
In gas-fired plants as well, Hitachi Power Europe has both extensive know-how and a lengthy track record across the entire range stretching from planning via acquisition and design through to commissioning.
The highly successful and globally deployed H-25 / H-15 gas turbines from parent company Hitachi, Ltd. are the optimum ones for running power plants in a dependable, efficient and economical manner. Designed as a heavy duty machine (30 MW rating class), over 120 Hitachi gas turbines in power plants are in service throughput the world (as of mid-2009). The turbines are sound and dependable under continuous operations, involve low maintenance costs and are admirably suited for plants with cogeneration/district heating supply. Hitachi gas turbines are also used as power drive turbines in industry.

This continuous-rated 30-kW grid parallel model can be fueled with digester or landfill gas with methane content as low as 35%. They are commonly arrayed with Cain or other heat exchangers to serve both renewable power and thermal loads.
Hundreds operate worldwide, including 12 that provide LFG-fueled power and heat to a school near Chicago, a site named "Project of the Year" by the landfill methane division of the US EPA.
Without any exhaust treatment, C30 emissions are much lower than flaring. ISO 9001:2000 certified Capstone Turbine is the world's leading microturbine manufacturer, with more than 3,000 units worldwide. The installed fleet has amassed more than 8 million hours of documented operation.
Capstone invented microturbines and is the world’s only USA incorporated, USA owned and operated manufacturer.
These inverter-based systems have just one moving part: a turbine shaft supported by patented air bearings. The system has no pumps and needs no radiator, gearbox or other mechanical subsystems. Needs no lubricants, coolants or other hazardous fluids. UL1741, CA Rule 21 and NY PSC interconnect precertified, UL2200, etc.
Scalable from kilowatts to >1 MW without any paralleling switchgear or other external hardware (built-in arraying via computer cables).

The Vaisala HMT360 Series for Moisture in Natural Gas incorporates Vaisala's proven HUMICAP® sensor technology.
With three probe designs to choose from, the HMT360 Series is flexible enough to suit your installation requirements. Compatible with most existing sampling systems, it is easy to replace old or malfunctioning devices. Designed for high pressure systems, these probes can be installed directly into pipelines, eliminating the need for complex and expensive sample systems. With its ball valve set, the probe can be inserted and removed in low pressure systems. The transmitter is easily configured, and delivered with a one week lead time.
The HUMICAP® sensors are not damaged by glycol, and can tolerate saturated conditions and contact with water without causing measurement drift. The sensors dry down rapidly after exposure to water in the process or ambient conditions. The HMT360 Series is rated intrinsically safe for Class I Division I environments.
The stable HMT360 Series has a one year recommended calibration interval, thus saving maintenance costs and measurement downtime. Probes can be changed in the field in just a couple of minutes!

HygroTrace Ultra-Low Moisture Transmitter measures the moisture content in the parts per billion (PPBv) range in nitrogen and argon gas for applications such as cylinder and tank filling, gas distribution systems in fabrication systems, and tool and machine manufacturing in the semiconductor and ultra-high purity gas (UHP) markets. With over 70 years of experience with aluminium oxide moisture sensors, GE Sensing developed a new aluminium oxide sensor, manufactured with modern semiconductor techniques, which uses a newly patented measurement technique to provide the sensitivity and speed of response in the PPBv range matched only by traditionally expensive analyzers. It is now possible to monitor multiple points of measurements for less than the cost of one analyzer and without installation constrictions. Its unique and innovative sensor measurement technique responds to wet up and dry down conditions in minutes minimizing moisture intrusion in your process.

GE’s Aurora analyzer uses tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) to measure moisture in natural gas rapidly and accurately. The
analyzer is suitable for installation in hazardous areas and operates over a wide range of environmental conditions. Aurora’s fast response quickly alerts and documents when moisture concentrations are out of compliance. Once process upsets are corrected and the gas dries out, the fast response enables natural gas to be cleared for entry into the “energy grid.”
GE’s experience in moisture measurement includes aluminum oxide, polymer capacitance and chilled mirror sensors. GE’s heritage also includes the
development of the first injection diode laser in 1962 by Dr. Robert Hall in Schenectady, NY. The compact and inexpensive diode laser made it possible for compact discs, laser printers and fiber optic telecommunications. The new Aurora TDLAS hygrometer enables natural gas processing and transportation facilities to monitor moisture content in real time with high precision and reliability.
