Libratherm offers Microprocessor based Humidity and Temperature Controller Model HTC-3003, which has same features as the Model HTC-3000, except that it has 3 digit display for simultaneous indication of both temperature and %RH value.
The controller accepts input from the standard (Pt-100) temperature sensor and from the capacitive type RH sensor or temperature/humidity transmitter. The process values and set values are displayed simultaneously in the range 0.0-99.90oC and 0.0 – 99.90% RH respectively on 4 independent 3 digit 7-segment Red LED displays,
Since the controllers are basically designed for the stability chambers, the accurate control of temperature and humidity is achieved by operating the air heater and the boiler heater in the PID control action. and the compressor is operated in ON/OFF action with time delay facility. Since the compressors are not required to be ON at certain level of temperature, the user selectable mode is provided to program the compressor operation in AUTO, Continuous ON or Continuous OFF mode.
The controllers are ready with the serial communication port RS 232 / RS 485 for interfacing to the computer for data logging and storage.
Specially designed window based E-Chamber Software does the on line data logging and plot the online / offline graph on the PC and also allows user to enter the set points and control parameters through PC and the controller. (i.e. bi-directional communication). Two level Pass Word protected (operator & supervisory) for unauthorized alteration of the set parameters and stored data is also provided.

Additionally, PGC’s SmartPad microprocessor controller is a user-friendly system that provides optimum accuracy and control. High-low or deviation alarms as well as digital communications ports are standard features.
The interior chamber is constructed of very durable, corrosion resistant stainless steel. Low watt density heaters are used that also contribute to the unit’s longer life.
Should your application require it, the chamber airflow can be factory configured from the standard horizontal flow to vertical. Other options include extended ranges, chart recorders, a window in the outer door, and a clear inner door with optional iris opening. System includes free logging software.

Moisture Measurement on Bulk Materials

The Honeywell 4112 dew point transmitter represents a technological breakthrough in moisture measurement. Absolute moisture in processes at high pressure and temperatures up to 185 degrees Celsius (365 degrees Fahrenheit) higher than existing equipment is now a reality, opening the door to better product quality, improved thermal efficiency and longer process equipment life. The probe will also stand short temperature excursions to 204 degrees Celsius.
The H4112 dew point transmitter is a direct intrusion, FM approved dew point and dry bulb temperature transmitter for industrial environments. The transmitter measures dew point and dry bulb (process temperature) simultaneously with local indication and retransmitted 4-20 mA outputs. The transmitter is designed to meet the moisture measuring requirements of a wide variety of industrial processes. End-users can now measure moisture where they had previously been unable to do so because of temperature limits, contaminants and harsh environments.
Advanced probe/sensor design virtually eliminates temperature effects and parasitic capacitance interference. New advanced materials and sensor assembly techniques enhance performance in high process temperature conditions. H4112 also has superior tolerance to contaminants. Common solvents, dirt, oil and other pollutants do not affect the stability or accuracy of the sensor. Polymer coatings on the sensor have excellent environmental tolerance ensuring accurate and repeatable dew point measurements
