Cabelte produced the first optical cable (multimode) in Portugal, in 1983. The cable was supplied to “Instituto para Desenvolvimento das Comunicações (IDC)” for the trial connection between “IDC” and “Inesc -Instituto de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computadores”.
The first cables produced for commercialization, called “light guide cables”, were made of 50/125 multimode fibers, tight structure, and had 4 to 6 fibers, regular customers were the former “CTT/TLP”, today “PT Comunicações”.
The big increase occurred in the production of optical fibre cables at Cabelte takes place at the beginning of the 90s, with the construction of a new plant and with the introduction of “loose” technology.
Since then, optical fiber has become more and more important and today is one of the most important telecommunication channels, due to the characteristics of the fiber itself, particularly its low attenuation associated with an almost infinite bandwidth (single mode fibers), and to the development occurred in the optical transmission systems.
Today, optical fiber cables are part of all communication “backbones” in metropolitan and regional networks. The presence of “triple pay” services, interactive games, high definition television, telemedicine, among others, requiring a high bandwidth in the access network, foresee the gradual replacement of copper by fiber optics up to the subscriber.

N-X INVERTER OUTPUT FERRITES
General purpose filter
Output Ferrites (N-X) are especially effective in reducing electromagnetic interference from the motor cable, as they introduce an impedance between the Inverter and the motor.
Output ferrites are particularly useful in reducing electrical noise in the frequency range 5 to 20 MHz, as there is no other suitable noise suppression means in this frequency range. Output ferrites should be placed around the cable between the Inverter and Motor, as near as possible to the Inverter.
The cable (excluding earth wires and shielding) should pass through the ferrite at least twice.

Vertical cable coil storage provides a considerable saving in space compared to the traditional ground storage systems. Space utilization rations can be as high as 1 to 5 if the drums are arranged vertically up to heights of 5m, allowing on average 5 drum levels.
This system not only allows for a better use of space but has other advantages such as:
„X quick identification of the drums to be withdrawn;
„X quick withdrawal of cable lengths directly from the stored drum.
The drums are fastened to a shaft with locking cone on supports that allow the rotation of the drum and therefore high speed unwinding with our machines.
Our racks are also provided with patented safety system (quick functional operation) to prevent the drum coming out of position and this allows the operator to work safe however the drum is placed (cable top up or down).

ShelfStore
Axelent’s ShelfStore is a practical and very rigid mesh shelving system that is equally suitable for storing small items individually or for goods on pallets. Mesh shelves do not gather dust and will let through light and water, which is often a requirement if a sprinkler system is used.
All the parts for ShelfStore have been designed to make handling as safe and straightforward as possible. For example, the wires on the top of each shelf run the full depth of the shelf, allowing goods to be slid in and out easily. The L-shaped front section also ensures that the shelves sit securely in the rack and do not require bolting. This facilitates the work involved when modifying or extending your warehouse or stores. ShelfStore is available in a variety of different sizes, and is supplied wrapped on pallets.

The system for building automation. Both power current lines 5x2,5 mm² and bus lines 2x1,5 mm² with twin shielding are combined in one sheath. This means that the bus lines must not be interrupted any more for connecting devices - a principle, that was only used for power current lines until now. Thanks to ecobus combi, the bus installation requires a minimum of wiring works. Due to the decentralized repartition of the bus devices, the structure of the installation suits perfectly every type of requirements.

Industrial appliances nowadays reach a high flexibility thanks to bus systems and control devices. To allow easy implementation and maintenance works, the applicances often have a modular structure which has already been determined during planning. The ecofil i 7x2.5 system perfectly suits appliances which have to be easy to modify and where power current and weak current have to be supplied in an easy and secure way. Thanks to this system, the T-pieces which are commonly liable to breakdowns and which are usually necessary for the branching of round cables can be avoided.
