PVG 32 is a hydraulic load-sensing valve designed to give maximum flexibility. It is available in many versions, from a simple load sensing directional valve to an advanced electrically controlled load-independent proportional valve. Proportional Control Valves are controlled by electronic Amplifier control boards, and are commonly called electro-hydraulics. These Proportional Valves control direction and the amount of fluid flow or can control the amount of pressure within a system.
Electro-hydraulic controls are especially useful in situations where system speed must be tightly controlled, or where ramping up and down is needed to avoid sudden starts or stops. Electro-hydraulics also provides precise control in applications where hydraulic pressure must be built up steadily.
Continental Hydraulics Proportional products can help increase production and reduce down time by minimizing the shocks that occur from sudden changes as compared to standard components.
In conjunction with precision valves, Continental Hydraulics provides Electronic Control Amplifier Cards. These Amplifiers come in a variety of mounting styles, signal conditioning, PWM and Dither, Acceleration and deceleration limiting and current sensing circuitry to work with and accurately control proportional products whether in open or closed loop systems.

The Brand, adjustable pilot operated relief valve maintains the same cracking pressure at low and high flows. As the pressure setting is exceeded a poppet type relief opens and allows a small pilot supply of fluid to escape a chamber at the end of the main spool. The escape of pilot supply causes the main spool to shift and thus opens a passageway which allows the main volume of pressurized fluid to escape to tank without passing over the poppet type relief. The higher the pump output the farther the spool shifts over to enlarge the opening to tank.

This section contains a wide range of shuttle valves which are ideal for brake circuits and pilot logic circuits. Also included are remote sequence cartridges which can be used for unloading or sequencing small flows. Pressures up to 350 bar (5000 psi) and flows up to 30 litres/min (8 US GPM). Hot oil shuttle integrated circuits are also included, with pressures up to 350 bar (5000 psi) and flows up to 120 litres/min (32 US GPM).

The Brand, shuttle valve has two inlet ports and one outlet port. The purpose of the shuttle valve is to accept flow from the inlet with the higher pressure and to route it to the outlet, while keeping the inlet flows isolated from one another. We manufacture shuttle valves in two sizes SHV50C and SHV25. The SHV50C has 1/2" NPT ports, capable of 0-15 gpm (0-57 lpm) and a peak pressure drop of 15 psi (1.0 bar). SHV25 has 1/4" NPT ports, capable of 0-5 gpm (0-19 lpm) and a peak pressure drop of 50 psi (3.4 bar).

187 and 281 PRI
The 187 and 281 PRI valves are specifically designed to be the smallest valves available for safety relief applications. Both are constructed entirely of stainless steel and are available screened and unscreened for design flexibility. Built-in damping assures quiet operation.
The 187 PRI is the smallest relief valve, only three sixteenths of an inch in diameter and a little over a half inch long, covering cracking pressures from 20 to 100 psid. The 281 PRI offers 29 standard cracking pressures from 80 to 3,600 psid.
375 and 500 MOMENTUM PRI
The 375 and 500 Pressure Relief Valves use the patented “momentum free” design concept. The unique design compensates for momentum forces that upset the normal force balance of a direct acting valve. These forces are produced by local pressure gradients caused by changes in liquid velocity. (See “Momentum Forces” on page M20). The result is a valve that is both linear and stable throughout the operating range and has low hysteresis, yet is still miniature. The 375 PRI has full open flow capacity of 100 Lohms and the 500 PRI has a 50 Lohm capacity. Both are available in standard cracking pressures from 50 to 500 psid.

The poppets which are situated in the cartridge are pressed on the valve seat via springs or are opened via tappets. Hardened poppets and valve seats ensure long life. Pressure compensated poppets reduce the operating power.

Continental Hydraulics has a full range including check, flow control, relief, reducing, sequencing, shuttle and counterbalance valves. Manufactured to fit the NFPA's and ANSI/ISO's standards.
Bodies are manufactured of either aluminum (3000 PSI) or ductile (5000 PSI) to meet your pressure requirements. Our bodies use industry common cavities. All cartridges are 100% tested functionally.
