With over 3000 air/oil separator designs for compressors, Mikropor is one of the leading air/oil separator manufacturers in the world today.
The primary purpose of Mikropor air/oil separators in rotary screw and vane type air compressors is to separate oil from compressed air. Mikropor separators trap oil by allowing it to coalesce and drain down to a sump - while allowing compressed air to pass through. From the sump, oil will be removed by a scavenge line of some type and returned to the reservoir to be recompressed in a continuous cycle.
Mikropor separators are constructed of a depth loading media and have excellent oil removal capabilities that provide vital air/oil separation required in high-performing compressor systems. Mikropor separators have an oil removal rating of 1-2 ppm (parts per million) - so the oil loss in a compressor working with Mikropor air/oil separators is negligible.
Mikropor separators feature a unique Helix Tube Construction that provides added strength and collapse resistance.
In addition, some special Mikropor separators use fluted - not punched or perforated - steel. The flutes provide a diagonal air/oil flow and improve the coalescing performance of Mikropor separators over competitive products. This fluted steel design unique to Mikropor.

Air compressors, widely used throughout industry, can produce considerable amounts of oil-contaminated condensate. This contamination must not be discharged directly into open drains, public sewers or natural watercourse.
Oil quickly reduces the dissolved oxygen content of water, which sustains animal and plant life and the bacteria essential for the aerobic digestion of sewage in Water Treatment Plants. As a result, most countries now have environmental laws placing strict limits on the discharge of industrial effluent containing oil.
The low cost, effective solution is a SAO oil/water separator from General Air Products. Installed as part of the compressed air system, it simply reduces the oil concentration in the condensate to permitted levels, so that clean water condensate can discharge safely into the drains. This leaves a relatively small amount of concentrated waste oil to be disposed of by the most economic of legitimate means.

Micro Air manufactures a complete line of portable collectors. from the M2150 media collector, for light duty or small volume applications to the MC1500 cartridge collector for heavy duty production.
Cartridge units utilize self-cleaning, high efficiency cartridge filters, that reduce filter replacement costs, as the filter elements are continually cleaned by compressed air. All Micro Air cartridge collectors utilize Micro Air's exclusive Roto-Pulse cleaning system. Because this cleaning system cleans the entire surface of the cartridge, it has proven to be far more effective, than the traditional reverse-jet system, thus extending filter life. Cartridge collectors can also be equipped with HEPA filters or Charcoal Modules.

The smart solution without ductwork
Diluter systems are the solution, when source extraction and hoods are not an option when large pieces of metal are fabricated, various welding processes take place at continuously changing locations and ductwork is difficult to install. The Diluter system has been designed especially for light to medium welding processes.
Flexible solution
Installing the Diluter system is easy as you do not need any ductwork. It does not only save ductwork (thus labour) costs, it is also a very flexible solution for facilities with many welding processes, changing locations constantly. The Diluter system suits almost any workshop.
Minor investment maximum result
The Diluter system consists of three main components: the filter unit, a fan and the Diluter itself. The Diluter is an air circulation unit with six multidirectional outlet nozzles. The unit re-circulates the cleaned air into the workshop by means of the outlet nozzles. The nozzles can be rotated to optimise extraction.
The airflows from the nozzles can be controlled individually making the system unique. Positioning the nozzles inside the welding fume layer gives the best result (usually between four and six metres). The main benefit is the relatively small investment for controlling welding fumes in your plant.

High-level control of welding fumes
Push-pull systems are the solution when source extraction and hoods are not an option, such as working areas with crane transportation, plants where large pieces of metal are fabricated (and arms are impractical) or workshops where various welding processes take place at continuously changing locations. The push-pull system has been designed especially for heavy industry.
Control your background concentration
Welding fumes rise due to heat. At a certain level – due to the cooling process - the same temperature level will be reached and a fume layer arises. The push-pull system moves this layer in a controlled way at a particular height (usually between four and six metres) where the air is being filtered and re-circulated. This way the smaller particles cannot cool down and return to working level. Which means: less fine dust on your work floor.
Ductwork, the main aspect
The main aspect of the push-pull system is the ductwork. Ductwork can be installed in all kinds of settings, U-shaped or paralleled. To determine the most effective system for your surroundings, you need to consider all aspects; the welding process, the height at which the welding fume layer develops, overall volume and the general construction of your workshop.
BENEFITS: optimum control, prevents accumulation of welding fumes, less fine dust at your work floor, heated air stays within the workshop, thus energy saving, suits almost every heavy industrial working environment.
