Oilgear has been providing hydraulic power units (HPU) to the world since 1921. Our power units are supplied to OEM’s for new equipment as well as end users to upgrade or retrofit an existing system. They can be found in almost every application that requires hydraulic power.
A well designed reservoir will be sized and properly baffled to eliminate turbulence, aeration and temperature problems. Oilgear engineers will work with you to define system requirements to determine proper capacity and ensure the unit meets your space and performance specifications.
A complete HPU includes the reservoir, pumps, motors, oil cooling and filtration systems, and necessary valving or manifolds. Pumps can be mounted on the top or side of the reservoir. Vertical and in-tank mounting configurations are also available. Systems can be designed for special fluids or unique environmental conditions.

L-shaped power units are ideal for demanding high-production industrial applications requiring high fluid volume and flow rate. The readily removable tank cover simplifies cleaning or replacing suction strainers. L-shape power units feature flooded suction inlets that eliminate the need for the pump to lift hydraulic fluid, thus reducing wear-and-tear.
JIC-Style
NFPA/JIC-style power units are especially well suited for heavier duty, continuous-use industrial applications requiring design flexibility and rugged construction.
Low Profile Series
Low profile power units are well suited for industrial applications requiring moderate fluid volume and flow rate. They are an excellent solution to applications in which space is at a premium, or where the power of a NFPA/JIC-Style unit is needed in a smaller, less expensive package.
Little Champ Series
Little Champ power units are designed for use in locations where space is limited and larger, noisier power units are not needed. They're ideal for applications requiring moderate fluid volume and flow rate, short hydraulic lines, and quick cycling.

GT18 Power Units are small and compact featuring a single 5 or 8 gpm (20 or 30 lpm) tool circuit.
HPR Power Units are small and compact and feature either one 5 or 10 gpm (20 or 38 lpm) tool circuit or a twin 5 gpm (20 lpm) tool circuit combinable to a single 10 gpm (38 lpm) circuit.
The HV18 Hydraulic Converter is a portable hydraulic system that gets its power from the hydraulic system of a skidsteer loader, backhoe or any hydraulic source that can produce a minimum of 13 gpm (49 lpm) @ 2000-3000 psi (138-206 bar). The Converter then provides controlled and clean power to the tool with oil cooling. The HV18 Converter contains some of the hardware and design features of our "state-of-the-art" power units without the engine.
