Hydrogen Coolant Purifiers - HCP
The HCP is a self-contained system that dries and purifies the hydrogen gas that is used as a coolant in electrical power plant generators. It removes water, oil and other contaminants that cause corrosion and cracking in retaining and zone rings, lead carbonate formation, increased windage losses and other potentially catastrophic consequences.
Legendary Select Series or Century Series control valves feature stainless steel internal parts designed specifically for desiccant dryer service and tested to 500,000 cycles, bubble-tight.
Switching valves and gas-tight blower are vented to prevent formation of dangerous air-hydrogen mixtures.
Welded stainless steel piping minimizes threaded connections, reducing potential leaks.
Complete instrumentation monitors the system for operation outside of specifications.
Potted conduit seals isolate electrical controls from hydrogen.
High temperature heater shutdown prevents excessive operating temperature.
Pre-installed PPC Series pleated particulate filters protect downstream equipment.

General description
LAB PURITY KIT The Lab Purity Kit (KT-1000-0034) provides users of HOGEN® GC and S Series hydrogen generators the means to assure high hydrogen quality (dewpoint) and an uninterrupted supply for their critical process.
The Lab Purity Kit is a panel-mounted assembly comprised of a user connection manifold, pressure reducing regulator, gas-monitoring dewpoint sensor, backup desiccant bed column, gas filter, controls, alarm relay, and a three-way gas diverter valve.
How it Works:
The lab purity kit is installed upstream of the user's process. If the dewpoint monitor senses moisture in the hydrogen in excess of the control set point, a three-way valve diverts the gas to the user's hydrogen vent system. As an extra measure, a desiccant column captures any trace moisture before it reaches the end user. If desired, the user may connect a backup hydrogen supply to a port provided on the kit. This provides uninterrupted hydrogen flow in the event of any hydrogen generator purity or operational upset.

BENEFITS AND SAVINGS
- H2 production only on demand
- Ultra compact design
- Improved productivity and chromatography results
- Improved safety in the lab
- Extended column life
- Increased efficiency in the laboratory
- No caustic solutions required
- Recommanded by the major analytical instruments company
APPLICATION
Eliminate the high pressure H2 gas cylinders of the laboratory by generating a continuous source of pure H2 gas for the following applications:
- GC-FID, NPD, TCD, ELCD, HALL
- GC-Carrier gas
- THA
OPERATING MODE
These generators use the newest membrane technology for the electrolytic production of pure H2 gas. This technology was preferred over alternative hydrogen generating techniques because it is clean, requires less maintenance and there is no need to store chemicals to maintain operation. Hydrogen is produced by electrolysis of water through a polymer membrane. Only pure water, either distilled or deionised, is required to provide trouble free long term operation. A dessican t cartridge purifies the hydrogen.
Safety features :
The small contained volume(< 50 ml )makes the generator safe for operation in spaces where cylinder hydrogen is restricted. An auto shutt off procedure places the unit in standby in the event of an internal error, and selectable alarms allow the user to be informed whenever operating conditions vary from the set point.

Water electrolysis by using ion exchange membrane, “Electric energy to convert directly into Hydrogen and oxygen.” “Gas Generation to control safely and easily.” “Gas Generation Reactor to be simple.”
Applications
For fuel cell
For various burnings
For hydrogen water manufacture
As a hydrogen source and an oxygen source of other usages
Features
The High Pressure Gas Safety Law in Japan is not applied.
Since gas supply power is 100-300kPa, The High Pressure Gas Safety Law in Japan is not applied to it.
Only pure water is needed as material.
If there are even a power supply and pure water, supply of gas is possible anywhere.
Therefore, a worker is free from conveyance and exchange of a cylinder.
High safety
There is very few of gas staying within equipment, so the equipmewnt operation is excellent in safety.
Clean gas
The solid ion exchanged film is used for this equipment as the electrolyte for water electrolysis. Therefore, pure water electrolysis is possible, without using a strong alkaline electrolyte like conventional equipment.Antipollution measures, such as alkali waste fluid processing, are unnecessary entirely as well as clean gas being obtained by that.
Easy operation
Only by turning switchON, the gas controlled by fixed gas pressure is supplied immediately.
Maintenance-free
Since it is clean gas, there is no clogging of a pipe or a nozzle, and periodical cleaning of a troublesome electrolysis tub is also unnecessary.

Claind is one of the world’s biggest manufacturers of water electrolysis systems for hydrogen production.
Claind’s first product in this field was the HG2000 Series of hydrogen generators, designed initially for laboratory use, but later extended to applications in the field of renewable energy and other areas requiring low flow rates of high purity hydrogen. These machines incorporate a unique technology based on an extremely robust electrolytic cell with platinum-palladium electrodes, capable of generating ultra-pure hydrogen without auxiliary purification systems, thus guaranteeing far greater simplicity of design.
More recently Claind has also developed the HG MAX3 Series of industrial hydrogen generators. Here too Claind has used its own proprietary technology to develop an extremely reliable, top quality generator with an exceptional characteristic in the form of 15 bar delivery pressure.
