Typical applications of this world-wide unique system include: Line impedances and k-factors of overhead lines or power cables, Mutual coupling of parallel lines, Coupling of power lines into signal cables,
Ground impedances of large substations, Step and touch voltages.
The test system offered by OMICRON makes use of frequency shift techniques for accurate measurements regardless of electrical interference.
Applications
- Line impedance and residual compensation factor (k-factor) measurements
- Positive and zero sequence impedance measurements of power lines
- Measurement of mutual coupling of parallel lines
- Measurement of ground impedances of large substations
- Step and touch voltage measurements
- Measurement of coupling impedances between power lines and signal cables
|
|
|
The ground resistance of substations can be measured with two auxiliary electrodes which are put into the ground. To avoid influences from the mains current and its harmonics, this measurement should preferably be carried out with 128 Hz.The high output power of the CPC 100 ensures a high ratio of the signal level to the noise level. Thanks to the signal processor technology, the measuring procedure is very selective and disturbances by ground currents are reduced to a minimum.

SOLAR300 carries out all the recommended tests to check the performances of single and three phase photovoltaic installations. SOLAR300 measures output DC power of the cells, output AC power of the inverter, solar radiation and temperature of the cells.
Measurement of AC and DC power requires the user to connect the instrument's inputs upstream (DC) and downstream the inverter. The values in single-phase installations or in three-phase installations, are acquired simultaneously. Usually the inverter and the photovoltaic cells could be far each other. To skip the use of long cables, which are very uncomfortable, SOLAR300 uses a remote measuring device, SOLAR-01, that acquires the following parameters: solar radiation, temperature of the cells and environmental temperature.
At the end of the recording, the values acquired by SOLAR-01 are transferred to the SOLAR300 through an USB connection. SOLAR300 also permits recording of each parameters, the voltage/current harmonic analysis and the voltage anomalies (sags, swells) detection. Thanks to its built-in memory and its compact flash driver a considerable volume of data can be stored for further analysis.
The innovative touch screen system of SOLAR300 makes the data analysis extremely easy. In addition, the management software Topview allows the user to create professional reports displaying the company trade mark, the user's data, the recording comments, etc.

Recent sales of Zwick’s electro-mechanical testing actuator have provided unique solutions for customers carrying out diverse mechanical testing. For example, in the automotive industry it has been used to test seat head rests, foams, steering columns, gearshifts, brake pedal assemblies, switches, connectors, and solenoids. In the medical industry components such as needles and bone have been successfully evaluated, whilst for sporting equipment the system has carried out tests on skis, and snowboards.
This wide variety of tests is possible due to a truly impressive specification, and a reliable testing system based on many core components from the Zwick Roell Group product portfolio. The EM Actuator is the obvious solution for many different and complex testing applications.
The electro-mechanical testing actuator is quite unique as it can be directly assembled, at any angle, into a production line and controlled via dedicated I/O control systems, or it can be used in stand-alone mode with a dedicated test stand. In addition it can be fitted to any standard Zwick universal test frame thereby adding an additional test axis for tests which require side loads All standard Zwick attachments can easily be attached.

The modular design is common to all systems: Host PC, measuring channels and interface module are separate from each other. The measuring channel execute the measurement and pass the measuring results to the Host PC whereas the interface module control the communication between Host PC and the equipment PLC. These testing equipment structures have resulted in very cost-effective solutions.
Applications: Quality control by non- destructive testing during the production of wires, cables, rods, bars, tubes and coils.
Material thickness: All metals
Measuring method: Eddy current measurement
Functional principle: When the material passes / transits the sensor, irregularities (welding faults like cracks, pores or circumferential faults) will be detected by changes of the eddy currents within the material.
Special features: Modular design based on the separation of measurement channels, interface module and Host PC.
