Indexing, Oscillating, Pick and Place, Torque Limiter, Assembly Chassis. Everything for high speed and high accuracy. 3 Special products for Servo Indexing.
Sankyo's flexible cam technology addresses the needs of many indexing applications where typical cam-indexing devices will not fully solve the problem. The AR/ServoDEX series indexer uses the same mechanism as our cam driven indexers except the cam is constant velocity. Out design combines proven mechanical roller gear technology with the flexibility of a programmable servo motor for positioning. When compared to a direct drive motor or a servo driven reducer, the AR/ServoDEX series excels regarding output torque and repetitive positioning accuracy.
Features :
- The number of stops and index/dwell time is programmable through a servo controller
- Offers the best solution for very fast cycle on demand applications
- Skip index or reversible pattern indexing is now possible
- Excellent mechanical performance
- +/- 45 Arc seconds accuracy is standard with higher accuracies available
- Worldwide parts & service availability
- Robust compact design-motor drive package is within the index height, no interference with mounting surfaces

Mode of Operation:
Taktomat Parallel indexers are precision drives which transform a uniform drive movement into stepped or swinging movements. The use of mathematically defined and standardized curve laws (VDI 2143 Sheet 1) guarantees a jolt and shock free movement. The structural design of Taktomat Parallel indexers produces a positive drive position free of play. An additional interlocking of the drive shaft or of the flanged construction is not required. It could lead to mechanical over-determination and therefore a long-term destruction of the indexing table.
The flux either occurs from a three-phase brake motor via a Worm gear, or from a chain or belt pulley onto the drive shaft of the parallel indexer. That is tightly connected with pulley set and turns the roll star with the drive shaft.
Suitably sized shaft seals seal the parallel indexer to the inside and outside.

As the problems with the global environment become more obvious, it is a natural and required function of companies to conserve resources with increased efficiency in accordance with the guidelines of international standards such as ISO14000.
The machine tool industry had begun efforts some time ago to conserve energy, save power and reduce resource consumption when manufacturing. In keeping with these activities, the clean, motion conversion efficiency of cam mechanisms are drawing attentions as both old and new technology that meets the new conditions being imposed on machine tools. Today, as earth-friendly manufacturing becomes a requirement, Sankyo has developed and is marketing ecology conscious machine tool units (ECO.CAM products) that make active use of cam technology to generate appropriate motions, perfect motions and reliable motions from the standpoint of environment-friendly manufacturing.

The Roller Drive is an orthogonal, zero-backlash precision reducer that has a highly accurate, rigid and durable roller gear mechanism built-in to the motion control mechanism. It's zero backlash characteristics are due to the unique preload mechanisms and it's high accuracy and high transmission efficiency eliminate performance variation problems due to abrasion while maintaining high performance on a long-term basis. It also significantly enhances the performance of motion controls. And, it's orthogonal layout suppresses the height of the equipments and allows compact installation and incorporation. It implements a new dimension of high-precision motion control with a wide variety of applications such as automated machines, robots, and power transmissions.

The Parallel Index uses a parallel cam mechanism, with parallel input and output shafts. Because it is easy to produce drives with 1,2, 3 or any small number of stops, the P series is the ideal indexing unit with relatively long dwell periods, such as occur on conveyers with long feed pitches. The design restrictions have been eased by employing Sankyo's original uneven-pitch parallel cams, so that now you can produce drives that used to be technically impossible.
|
|
|
This product is the most common indexing drive which nevertheless must meet two requirements: faster and more accurate. It does so by combining a roller gear cam and a cam follower. It is a familiar type of index unit with a 45mm to 180mm center distance between the input shaft and the output shaft.
|
|
|
The Alpha series is an all-in-one indexing drive complete with a cost-effective geared motor that is covered with a slim housing. After reviewing the design, this indexing drive has been made more user-friendly and uses the same roller gear cam mechanism found in all of our Sandex products (which have high production records).
