These stock assemblies are known as aLEDs®. These aLEDs consist of high power LEDs mounted onto a thermally optimised PCB substrate complete with a connector or solder pads.
Various aLED® assemblies have been created in strip, round cluster, tile and hexagonal format to suit many illumination applications. Some aLED® assemblies come complete with on-board drive electronics for simple DC voltage input.
The use of high power LEDs demands a more rigorous design and manufacturing approach than conventional through hole devices. It has been important to consider the thermal design to guarantee long term reliability and ensure that the LED is not operating above its maximum junction temperature. The aLED® range has been designed to achieve optimum thermal performance which results in maximum light output.
Through the Visible Solutions division of Forge Europa, it is possible to offer custom designed versions of the aLED® product range as well as a comprehensive design and assembly service from prototypes through to volume production.

MOUNTING: PCH 175 - Right angle thru-hole mount for LEDs. Can be used as a single LED mount or banded together in an array with its dove-tail interlocking feature.
When banded together with the PCH 175 the LEDs are on .250" centers.
LED: 5mm size - round or rectangular shape with or without flange. Bi-lead, standard .100" lead spacing. Tri-lead, either .050" or .100" lead spacing. Both the bi-lead and tri-lead LEDs can also be combined in arrays with one another.

Following its acquisition of the US based LEDCO division of Wilbrecht Electronics, Inc., Microprecision is introducing the popular series of chrome panel mount indicator lights to the European market. Made with a tough reflective, nickel-plated brass housing for 3mm and 5mm LEDs, the indicator lights are ideal for control panels, instrumentation and front panel fault indicators that are exposed to harsh environmental conditions. Equipped with a nitrile gasket/washer and sealed to IP66, the chrome LEDs are suitable for water-tight and high vibration applications.
The rugged panel mount LEDs are available with daylight readable single colours, bicolour, tricolour, and blinking. The products are available with bare pins or wire leads which can be customized with a wide selection of connectors for fast installation in your application. Options include internal resistors for 5-60VDC and 120VAC, black matte housing finish, custom lead lengths and wire types, including avionics grade solution.

APPLICATION - CLIPMOUNT permits the panel display of a PCB mounted LED without its physical attachment to the front panel. This mount enables the use of interconnects between display panels and circuit boards.
VERSATILITY - CLIPMOUNT provides a method of displaying PCB or panel mounted LEDs on a display panel. These mounts are available in either black or clear allowing an LED viewing angle of up to 180 degrees. Mounts are available for both 3mm and 5mm LEDs.
BRIGHTNESS - CLIPMOUNT provides direct viewing of the LED. Mono and multicolor LEDs as well as infrared and photo-detection devices can be mounted in this manner. This design also permits use of either diffused or nondiffused LEDs.
INSTALLATION - CLIPMOUNT are easily installed for PCB mounted LEDs. Simply slide mount thru a 9/32" panel hole and press retaining ring into place. The LED is now able to slide in and out of mount without its physical attachment to front panel. For interconnect applications, hold mount tightly to panel with a nut driver and press connector with LED on from rear.

APPLICATION - P-C-LITEs are used as circuit board mounting sockets for status, logic and fault detection lights. Also used for back panel lighting, front panel function lights and mounting of photodetection type devices.
VERSATILITY - P-C-LITEs are relampable, no direct soldering to LED. PCH and SMD series mount horizontally, PCV series mounts vertically. The PCV can be installed on one side of the PCB while the LEDs are inserted from the reverse side of the board.
DESIGN - P-C-LITEs are manufactured from UL listed thermoplastics. Unique contact design permits automatic adjustment to the various sizes and shapes of LED leads. Also accommodate IR emitters, phototransistors and incandescent bi-pin lamps.
INSTALLATION - P-C-LITEs are wave soldered (PCH/PCV) or surface mounted (SMD) to PCB along with other components. Sockets are provided with polarity identification. Molded standoffs permit easy board cleaning. Lock-type security for component leads in high vibration and shock environments.

The P861 LED Lamp provides visual on/off indication of process conditions in both safe and hazardous areas. Available in a choice of six super-bright colours (red, orange, yellow, green, blue and white), they are ideally suited as part of a panel mounting indicator or illuminated pushbutton assembly.
The P861 itself is a standard BA9s intrinsically safe LED lamp which can be supplied as part of a pilot light or illuminated pushbutton or alternatively supplied separately to be used in any standard switch or lamp assembly.
With the LED lamp being current limited to take a maximum of only 20 mA, it is possible to drive two lamps from a single IIC interface without any affect on the brightness.
With the LED's low power consumption, low heat dissipation and long life expectancy, the P861 is an ideal indicator for safe and hazardous areas alike.

VCC's CMS 322 lens is designed to provide a means of protecting equipment from both drip or splash conditions while displaying panel or circuit board mounted LEDs.
The traditional methods of moisture sealing have been the use of bulky military style indicator lights requiring o-rings, nuts and washers. While these units are effective, they do not provide aesthetics desired in today's modern equipment designs. As a result, engineers faced with the problem of moisture sealing are forced to design elaborate display panel windows with special gaskets. When limited by design funds, engineers have attempted to seal standard panel lenses or indicator lights with adhesives such as RTV. These methods are very expensive in component hardware, extremely labor intensive and lack required aesthetics.
VCC's CMS 322 low-profile lens is equipped with a moisture sealing gasket. Tests by an independent environmental testing laboratory have shown that the lens provides an effective seal against splash and drip conditions. In addition to the water tests, the lens and retaining systems were tested up to 6Gs of shock and from 0 to 2000Hz of vibration. An operating temperature test from -40°C to +85°C and a UV test were also performed. The conclusions attained upon completion of these tests were that the CMS Series lens and the retaining systems used exceeded all test criteria.

The product created as a result of this project has a modern compact design and makes lamps extremely versatile, with different possibilities of positioning and rapid installation speed.
Models from 8w to 21w with 24CC/AC, 125V AC and 240V AC power supply
Installation of the flashing safety device prevents accidents, warning the operator of the presence of voltage in the electrical system by means of flashing. The DSL flashing devices are installed in highly visible positions upon opening of the electrical panel doors, and connected directly downstream to the main switch. The flashing of the three red lamps highlights hazardous conditions. The DSL devices can be connected to both three-phase and single phase lines.
