This range of panel mounting LED indicators consists of many different bezel styles, types of LED’s and colours. The range has developed to meet the many different needs of panel design including IP67 environmentally sealed versions for use where a front panel seal is needed.
The vandal resistant LED indicators are designed to complement the vandal resistant switches (see the Switch Section, page 177), they have similar profiles with stainless steel bodies, sealing to IP66 & 68 and are built to withstand harsh environments.

VCC's LCS Series Litepipe® provides display panel moisture seal and 180° viewing angle. This lens and Litepipe® unit was developed to provide moisture sealing and dust control for display panels when the LED is attached to a circuit board.
Currently, the moisture sealing of a Litepipe® to a display panel requires the use of RTV-type adhesive. When applying glue for sealing, special precautions must be taken to avoid creating air gaps that would allow sealed joints to leak. Glues are not only difficult to apply but their adhesion to a lightpipe surface will change the flow of the light pattern. This also causes light leakage resulting in reduction of light emitted by the litepipe. In addition, the output surface of a lightpipe alone whether flat, concave, or convex projects little or no sidelight. This gluing method results in serious assembly problems and less than satisfactory panel displays.

KARL STORZ only uses cold light projectors with its endoscopic products. With this technology, light from the cold-light projector is transmitted through a fiberoptical or fluid lightguide to the endoscope tip.
Cold-light technology offers many benefits:
• Very bright light
• Heavy-duty, robust technology
• Compact size of fiberoptical lightguide
• Does not contain any significant heat radiation
Cold light is suitable for testing in potentially explosive environments. KARL STORZ cold light projectors are available with a choice of different lamp systems and performance levels, enabling us to provide you with the optimum light source for any conceivable application.

Portable Xtreme LED light sources are a convenient, easy to use, substitute for bulky halogen or metal halide light sources. These Xtreme light sources feature a high intensity 3W LED, which produces well over 50,000 Lux of illumination, and an adjustable intensity control lever, to vary the illumination for different inspection areas, or areas with reflective surfaces.
|
|
|
The light sources are in fact external boxes which produce illumination intended to clarify the inspection area. These boxes allow a beam of light to pass through a fibre optic to the point to be inspected. At FORT, a full range of sources is available with different types of lamps and levels of power in order to meet the needs of a variety of working environments.
