For non-contact measuring and imaging of the temperature distribution on objects, IMPAC offers fixed line professional cameras and thermal imaging sensors.
Line cameras are fixed cameras for industrial use. Depending on the model, the uncooled microbolometer arrays detect lines of 128 or 246 data points. If measuring moving objects the cameras display the temperature distribution of the surface in two dimensions. Line cameras achieve very fast response times between 128 and 512 lines per second.
Thermal imagers are designed for long-term use in industrial plants for process and quality control. Measuring a lot of different materials in temperature ranges between -20 and 3600°C the cameras are flexible tools. If required the units can be equipped with systems for lens purging and water-cooling.
Depending on the model, the imagers detect the surface temperature of an object with 76,800 or 207,200 pixels and achieve measurement rates between 30 and 60 frames per second.

| Raytek announces the launch of its new GS110 Infrared Thermal imaging System for Low Emissivity (Low-E) Glass. This system is specifically designed to monitor one-side coated flat glass during the tempering process. The GS110 scanns the topside of the glass and measures simultaneously the temperature on the uncoated side of the glass where the emissivity is both known and significantly higher. The measured data are transferred to the Windows-based GS110 software which is included in the GS110 system. The software automatically corrects the thermal image of the topside of the glass to provide a more accurate result. Further, the GS110 allows the user to set-up predefined recipes to accommodate frequent product changes typical in glass processes. OPC server functionality is included as an integral part of the proprietary software allowing for seamless integration of the data into other process professional control software packages. By quickly detecting thermal irregularities within the glass and identifying defective industrial heating elements, the GS110 allows glass professional processors to improve product quality and uniformity, and to reduce scrap. The GS110 can be used for non-contact infrared temperature measurement in other secondary glass-processing applications such as bending, forming, and annealing. |
