The Sitescan delivers high performance and advanced features, yet our engineer's experience in user interface design has ensured it is easy and quick to use. The acknowledged ease of use of previous generation Sitescans has been enhanced with the menu navigation scroll-wheel, providing easy access to functions. The menu structure has been designed to guide the user through their task with operation quickly becoming second nature. The Sitescan D-10 uses a broad band amplifier compatible with a wide range of transducers whilst the D-20 model uses several narrow bands for improved performance. The analogue feel from the high quality broadband amplifier shows all the detail required to identify defect types such as holes or cracks, and sufficient resolution for identifying small signals. Typical applications are weld inspection, corrosion testing, small castings, forgings and delamination checking.

Minisonic ISD detects the changes of products in a pipeline by measuring the speed of sound. The speed of sound is a precise specification of the product and has a correlation to density or concentration.
Minisonic ISD is also a detector of the passage of pigs and spheres in a pipeline by the analysis of the acoustic signal.
The measurement of the speed of sound depends on the temperature and pressure conditions, so it is necessary to use a numeric corrector to obtain the real measurements.
The Minisonic ISD is available in a standard or explosion proof model.

The improvement of the conventional welding methods, the widespread use of the laser welding as well as subsequent treatments e.g. annealing and coating have made the automatic detection of the tube weld seam in many manufacturing processes such as in tube and pipe benders or hydroforming a demanding task for modern sensor technology . This applies both to the weld seam detection in tubes as well as to flat stock e.g. coils. Therefore, the use of special sensors designed for special tasks, digital signal analysis with microprocessor or PC-based control systems have received our special attention.

The TapTone 4000-DSC - Dual Sensor Compression (DSC) system is designed to inspect a wide variety of flexible containers for micro leaks. The design incorporates our patented dual sensor technology and high speed compression belts for improved accuracy and container handling. The system was designed for harsh, wet environments, like those found in the dairy industry. When combined with the optional X-ray sensor, the system can also perform fill level inspection.
X-ray Technology - measures the product fill level in steel, aluminum, glass, plastic and paper containers. An X-ray tube is used to produce a low-energy X-ray beam. The X-ray beam penetrates the side of the container in the area of the fill level. An X-ray detector is positioned on the opposite side of the container to measure the intensity of the beam after it goes through the container. The intensity of the beam is then compared to acceptable energy levels to determine the relative fill level of each container. The X-ray sensor is used to measure both overfilled and under filled products in all types of containers.

X-Ray Sensors offer a number of advantages over beta and gamma sensors, including greater precision, better streak detection, long-term stability and non-nuclear technology.
Since the X-ray sensor's energy output can be changed via digital power regulation, it can be optimized to run very efficiently over a wide range of product weights and thicknesses.

CALIX series is the first LAP product family for thickness measurement in one single sensor housing. They can be used instead of applications consisting of displacement sensors and measuring frame without the need for temperature control and frequent recalibration.
The alignment of measuring beams is optimised during production at LAP. CALIX sensors don't need complicated adjustments of opposing sensors in the measurement frame. Errors related to alignment won't occur. LAP CALIX sensors can easily be integrated into production lines. They reach over the objects to be measured from the side, without the need for O-frames or bridges.
CALIX sensors are available with different measuring ranges and limb lengths. The limb length limits the distance of the measuring spot from the objects edge. CALIX sensors may also be used for traversing applications, moving in and out or along the edge of the object.
Sensors of CALIX series provide extremely precise results on virtually all materials, independent of limb length and measuring range. They automatically adapt to changing colors and surfaces. Even measurements on shiny aluminium, non-vulcanized black rubber, and soft or sticky materials are possible.

The Series 4000 Capacitec amplifiers and racks were designed to offer the best signal to noise ratio and wide band width response options in a simple modular package. The 4000 Series was built upon our 20 year proven foundation of 3000 Series amplifiers (3101-SP, 3200, 3201-SP) still in operation. Utilization of individual pins in a 32 pin DIN connector increases reliability for more industrial applications where vibrations are present. The small Euro-style 2U size boards have appeal for small portable packaging as well as high (but lightweight) density applications. When coupled with Capacitec non-contact displacement probes, they produce a linear output voltage proportional to the gap spacing between the probe and a ground plane. The systems are designed to produce stable and reliable operation with excellent gain and zero shift stability with respect to changes in ambient temperature. Stability is achieved with a digitally derived sine-wave oscillator, having a crystal clock as the frequency reference.

OTS 50 the industrial thickness meter for sheet glass and acrylic panes.
The OTS 50 is a sensor especially developed for measuring on transparent, parallel and highly reflective surfaces. Directly aimed at the glass industry for on-line control of the production of double glass units, DGUs, also known as thermo windows.
The sensor is controlling thickness of the window units providing precision measurement of the thickness of one or more glass/acrylic panes. The measuring principle is based on total/direct reflection from one side of the object/window. The OTS 50 sensor is a very rugged and compact unit. All optical and electronic elements are contained in the sensor unit, this is a valuable quality for many industrial applications.
In addition to the competitive palette of ODS standard sensors and O2DS scanners, DSE design and customize special sensors to our customers needs. The OTS 50 is a good example of this appreciated DSE activity.
