Universal coating thickness gage working on the coulometic principle to measure virtually all types of electroplated single or multilayer coatings such as chrome, nickel, cadmium, brass, silver, tin and zinc on metal or non-metal substrates.
This technique simply involves the removal of a small, almost invisible area of coating material. The substrate itself is not affected.
More than 70 combinations of coating and substrate can be measured with the standard equipment.
Measuring range: 0,05... 75 µm
Statistical evaluation with display of mean value, standard deviation, coefficient of variation, number of readings, highest and lowest single reading. |

OSPrey800 - A revolution in OSP thickness measurement
OSPrey800This instrument measures Organic Solderablity Preservative (OSP) thickness on the individual pads of real-time production boards. The ability to target individual pads allows specific quality control, failure analysis and troubleshooting of the OSP layer. The OSPrey800%u2019s unique non-destructive quality control technique requires neither test coupons nor sample preparation and significantly reduces the time needed to take measurements and operator error.
Other techniques for measuring OSP thickness are either destructive, labor intensive, or expensive. The OSPrey800 utilizes an innovative new technique in which various wavelengths of light are aimed at a sample and the light reflected from the surface of coating and substrate is analyzed to determine coating thickness. Typical thicknesses from 0.035-3µm can be measured and analyzed.

OTS 50 the industrial thickness meter for sheet glass and acrylic panes.
The OTS 50 is a sensor especially developed for measuring on transparent, parallel and highly reflective surfaces. Directly aimed at the glass industry for on-line control of the production of double glass units, DGUs, also known as thermo windows.
The sensor is controlling thickness of the window units providing precision measurement of the thickness of one or more glass/acrylic panes. The measuring principle is based on total/direct reflection from one side of the object/window. The OTS 50 sensor is a very rugged and compact unit. All optical and electronic elements are contained in the sensor unit, this is a valuable quality for many industrial applications.
In addition to the competitive palette of ODS standard sensors and O2DS professional scanners, DSE design and customize special sensors to our customers needs. The OTS 50 is a good example of this appreciated DSE activity.

| Thickness is an important process parameter for the prevention of tool or machine damage or to monitor product quality according to ISO 9000 in blanking presses, slitting lines, cut-to-length lines, scroll professional shears and other coil processing machinery. Continuous thickness measurement makes the monitoring of the cost of purchased material possible. ROLAND has single sensor measurement systems as well as non-contact dual probe systems available. The systems function according to the magnetic, inductive, or capacitance principles. Detailed measurement protocols according to SPC criteria provide objective information for negotiating with coil suppliers. |

The professional laser-line profile sensor, scanCONTROL 2800, makes use of the triangulation principle for two-dimensional acquisition of profiles on a variety of different target surfaces.
In contrast to familiar point manufacturer of laser sensors, a line optical system projects a laser line onto the surface of the object to be measured. The back scattered light from the laser line is registered on a CMOS array by a high quality optical system. Along with distance information (z-axis), the controller also calculates the true position along the laser line (x-axis) from the industrial camera image and outputs both values in the sensor's two-dimensional coordinate system.
A moving object or a scanning sensor will generate a three-dimensional representation of the object. |

| Scanning Frames are a critical factor in making a profile measurement. If the material is not presented to the sensor in an accurate and repeatable way, you will not be able to get the most accurate and repeatable measurement. This is why NDC places emphasis on engineering and producing the most accurate scanning frames in the industry. Our scanning frames' registration performance, coupled with our sensors' accuracy and repeatability, give you the most accurate profile measuring tool available. |
