The Intellium™ Z100 interferometer provides non-contact measurement of flat or spherical surfaces and transmitted wavefronts of optical components and assemblies. Measurements can be made using simple basic visual fringe inspection, static fringe analysis, or phase-modulated interferogram analysis.
The Intellium™ Z100 uses IntelliWave™, the de-facto standard interferometry software for device independent interferogram analysis. Vibration-insensitive acquisition is supported by IntelliPhase™, one of the many versatile features of IntelliWave.The Intellium™ Z100 provides flexibility to handle today’s industrial applications at a significantly reduced cost as compared to other instruments. |

A variety of different wavelengths are available. The H2000 uses industry standard 100mm reference optics.
How it Works
Reference and test beams travel the common path through the optical system of the interferometer. Our simultaneous phase-shifting common-path Fizeau interferometer is accomplished using ESDI’s revolutionary HyperPhase™ Module (patents pending). The module uses three sub-pixel aligned industrial cameras, which are monolithically bonded together with the beam splitting and polarization optics into a rugged package smaller than two stacked deck of cards. The result is a rigid camera system similar to high-end 3-Chip color cameras with lifetime alignment. The advantage of using three cameras is that each of the interferograms retains the true resolution of the camera. |

The patented SBSI is a small beam lateral shear interferometer that uses an air gap between glass plates to shear the beam and then projects a magnified interference fringe pattern on a camera or fluorescent viewing screen. Optical aberrations can be identified and corrected while viewing the SBSI fringe pattern in real-time. For example, coma can be corrected by changing the tilt of a collimating lens in an optical system so the fringes on the SBSI change from curved to straight. A reference line on the SBSI screen indicates the best focus (collimation) angle for the fringes. When the fringes are parallel to the SBSI reference line, all optical aberrations are minimized. Beams can be checked directly or in reflection using a rotating beam-splitter cube mounted on the front of the SBSI. |

Intellium™ PDI is a state-of-the-art point diffraction interferometer that generates its own reference spherical wavefront using a pinhole in a retarder. The result are highly stable interferograms simultaneously phase-shifted using ESDI's HyperPhase™ module. The instrument measures real-time interferometric laser beam wavefronts at resolutions up to 1024 x 768. |

The ESPI system from Steinbichler Optotechnik is an extremely flexible instrument for deformation and vibration analysis. One of its most important features is that the system can be adapted to the customer´s specific demands and applications.
By using the wave character of laserlight, even small deformations can be detected with an accuracy of 0.05 µm. The deformation is measured either one-dimensionally (typ. out-of-plane) or spatially (in- and out-of-plane) with a 3D-unit which is optionally available.
In the vibration analysis, e.g., resonance frequencies and vibration modes of excited parts can be determined fast and precisely. Innovative developments such as the "Free Boundary" and the "Sine Stepping/Universal File" functions significantly improve the handling of the measurement system. |
