Joyce Bevel Gear screw jacks offer higher efficiency and greater speed than other mechanical screw jacks. At the same time, Bevel Gear S Series jacks still provide the benefit of a self-locking screw-no special brake is required to prevent the jack from lowering under load. Spiral bevel pinions increase strength for higher capacities.
Bevel Gear screw jacks also act as a miter gear box, making them an ideal choice for many multi-jack systems. As many as three output shafts may be specified for mounting motors, limit switches suppliers, readout devices and other accessories.
Bevel Gear screw jacks are also available complete with reducer or direct drive in a ready-to-run package.

Joyce/Dayton Stainless Steel Machine Screw jacks are specifically designed for positioning or lifting applications in corrosive or other potentially contaminated environments. All exposed surfaces and components feature 316 or 17-4 stainless steel construction and bronze bushings. Nitrile rubber professional seals protect all internal mechanisms.
Unlike other stainless steel screw jacks, Joyce/Dayton SWJ series provide full lifting capacity. In most cases, these jacks can be easily retrofitted into applications where non-stainless steel screw jacks have already been installed.
Joyce/Dayton offers Stainless Steel Screw Jack models in capacities from 2 to 25 tons. Stainless Steel Screw Jacks come in translating screw, rotating screw (keyed for traveling nut) and keyed (shown).

Joyce/Dayton - Established 1873
Joyce Ball screw jacks feature a ball nut with integral ball bearings that recirculate along the surface of the manufacturer of ball screw. The significantly reduced friction between the ball nut and screw results in greater efficiency, with up to 2/3 less input torque required to move the load than a similarly rated machine screw jack.

Joyce Ball Screw Jacks are available in translating screw or rotating screw (keyed for traveling nut) designs. Translating screws are available with threaded, load pad, clevis or plain ends. Joyce Ball Screw Jacks are ideal for single or multiple jack systems.
Unlike Machine Screw Jacks, Ball Screw Jacks are not self-locking. Because they will lower under load, a braking motor or other external braking mechanism is required.
