The InduProofmedTM keyboard is the latest addition in the InduProofTM product line of NEMA6P fully sealed keyboards.
The InduProofmedTM keyboard features an antimicrobial silicone covering the entire keyboard. The specially treated silicone inhibits the growth of microbes on contact. It works continuously to maintain a consistently lower bio-burden than would be expected on a product without anti-microbial protection.
The InduProofmedTM can be disinfected using standard industrial cleaners and disinfectants. The entire keyboard can be submersed in liquids. The InduProofmedTM can be paired with an InduMousemedTM silicone-encased optical mouse with the same anti-microbial properties.
The InduProofmedTM and InduMouse medTM are intended for use in hygiene sensitive environments for medical, pharmaceutical and food processing applications. Its protection against microbes makes equipment easier to clean. The keyboard surface stays cleaner and safer between cleaning as recommended by GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point).
The InduProofmedTM uses low profile keyswitches with carbon-on-gold contact elements for tactile feedback and reliability. The keyboard is completely protected against dust, dirt, grease and liquids to IP68/NEMA 6P. The keyboard surface can be cleaned and disinfected by submersion into disinfection liquids. Both InduProofmedTM and InduMousemedTM are available in PS/2 and USB versions.

In hygienically demanding surroundings, all surfaces and objects with which personnel come into contact must be sterile. An antimicrobial foil membrane on a membrane keyboard, like the keywi MediBoard, ensures consistent protection against bacterial contamination.
Hoffmann + Krippner uses a special membrane foil coated in Microban and surrounds it in a completely sealed, beautifully designed exterior housing that is scratch and chemical resistant and withstands common disinfectants. The super flat outer surface of the keyboard is splash-proof according to IP 65 [NEMA 4X] standards, making it quick and easy to clean – an important factor in busy hospital environments. The keywi Mediboard also has individually domed keys, creating excellent tactile response even with gloved hands and has an optional integrated mouse pad.
Hoffmann + Krippner’s confidence in the antimicrobial technology is evidenced by the fact that they offer a 10-year warranty on the antimicrobial effect of the keywi MediBoard.
Antimicrobial keyboards are advantageous for use in any area that will benefit from consistent protection against bacterial contamination but especially in Hospital Emergency and Operating Rooms where the need for hygienic surroundings are most vital. The sense of urgency that hospital employees must have in order to give patients appropriate attention cannot be at the expense of quality of care and patient safety.
Using an antimicrobial PC keyboard, like the keywi Mediboard, is a significant step forward in the drive to tackle Hospital-Acquired Infections and cut the number of cases of MRSA and other communicable diseases and illnesses.

The Trio membrane keypad is a single unit which brings together all the elements required for an effective man machine interface in one package. This minimises the time taken to mount and connect to other Trio Motion technology control system products.
The unit consists of an IP65 keypad featuring 37 tactile keys, eight of which can be defined by the user and identified by inserting key legends from the rear of the keypad. Incorporated into the units is a four line by twenty character, vacuum fluorescent display. Connection to the control system is via a fibre-optic cable to the Master Controller. The interfacing is handled by dedicated built-in network interface software. The only other connection necessary is for the power supply.

The new force sensor converts pressure, weight and forces towards a measurable electrical quantity: resistance. As to construction, Force Sensors are comparable with the Clicktouch membrane switches. While combining this top technology with well-controlled production processes, sensors are made that are also thin, light and flexible. Furthermore, these can be designed completely customised and can be combined with and within a membrane switch keyboard.
|
|
|
High-quality sealed keyboards for industrial use. Equipped with ClickTouch membrane switch panels and available with integrated trackerball or sensepad.
|
|
User-friendly, flexible membrane switch keyboards that are long-lasting (>6 million actuations), reliable and cost-effective.
The Clicktouch process produces a thermoformed polyester foil with “elastic” spring zones enabling extended key travel. Circuit layers are printed on polyester substrates with special silver, carbon and insulation links, with additional protection against oxidation provided by over-printing with carbon.
Advantages over conventional membrane and metal dome based keyboards:
•Significantly reduced contact bounce (<2 ms)
•Long key travel (up to 2 mm) providing improved tactile feedback (even when operated by someone wearing gloves, a clear click can be sensed)
•No metal parts, resulting in a longer switch life and greater reliability.
Clicktouch retains essentially the same ergonomic performance as standard mechanical push buttons, but is also:
•Dust-tight
•Water-tight
•Chemically resistant

CTS is a capacitive detection technique that is suitable for various applications. The CTS keypad consists of a front plate on which a capacitive sensor is mounted at the back. Keys are controlled by means of a custom IC with dedicated software.
The front plate can be made of polyester, acrylic glass, glass, or other non-conductive material, and can be printed or not. Dependent on the type of material, it can have a thickness of up to 20 mm.
When using a transparent sensor, capacitive keypads can serve as digital touch screens. The panel can offer a total protection and does resist a high degree of vandalism.
|
|
Based on standard ClickTouch design. Vandal-proof keypads have a metal top plate and metal push buttons with a patented end-of-travel protection.
Vandal-proof keyboards guarantee electrical contact in environments where keyboards need additional protection: e.g. telephone keyboards, lifts, door codes, banking terminals.
