| The new force sensor converts pressure, weight and forces towards a measurable electrical quantity: resistance. As to construction, Force Sensors are comparable with the Clicktouch membrane switches. While combining this top technology with well-controlled production processes, sensors are made that are also thin, light and flexible. Furthermore, these can be designed completely customised and can be combined with and within a membrane switch keyboard. |
|
| High-quality sealed keyboards for industrial use. Equipped with ClickTouch membrane switch panels and available with integrated trackerball or sensepad. |
|
User-friendly, flexible membrane switch keyboards that are long-lasting (>6 million actuations), reliable and cost-effective.
The Clicktouch process produces a thermoformed polyester foil with “elastic” spring zones enabling extended key travel. Circuit layers are printed on polyester substrates with special silver, carbon and insulation links, with additional protection against oxidation provided by over-printing with carbon.
Advantages over conventional membrane and metal dome based keyboards:
•Significantly reduced contact bounce (<2 ms)
•Long key travel (up to 2 mm) providing improved tactile feedback (even when operated by someone wearing gloves, a clear click can be sensed)
•No metal parts, resulting in a longer switch life and greater reliability.
Clicktouch retains essentially the same ergonomic performance as standard mechanical push buttons, but is also:
•Dust-tight
•Water-tight
•Chemically resistant |

Keyboard No Dome
- no tactile feedback
- lifetime > 5 million switches (DIN 42 115)
- very thin (min thickness 0,6 mm)
- application : systems not very often used
- low budget
Keyboard with Plastic Dome
- a " click-effect" is created by transforming the frontfoil thermally
- lifetime > 5 million switches (DIN 42 115)
- very thin (min thickness 0,7 mm)
- environmental factors (cold - heat - sun - moisture) can influence the feeling of switching
- limited options
Keyboard with Metal Dome
- by installing a metal dome, a real " click-effect" is created
- lifetime > 5 million switches (DIN 42 115)
- very thin (min thickness 0,7 mm)
- the feeling of switching is not affected by environmental factors
- can be used directly on your PCB
- unlimited options possible
- can be used in combination with rubber keypads |

CTS is a capacitive detection technique that is suitable for various applications. The CTS keypad consists of a front plate on which a capacitive sensor is mounted at the back. Keys are controlled by means of a custom IC with dedicated software.
The front plate can be made of polyester, acrylic glass, glass, or other non-conductive material, and can be printed or not. Dependent on the type of material, it can have a thickness of up to 20 mm.
When using a transparent sensor, capacitive keypads can serve as digital touch screens. The panel can offer a total protection and does resist a high degree of vandalism.
|
|
Based on standard ClickTouch design. Vandal-proof keypads have a metal top plate and metal push buttons with a patented end-of-travel protection.
Vandal-proof keyboards guarantee electrical contact in environments where keyboards need additional protection: e.g. telephone keyboards, lifts, door codes, banking terminals. |

EAO offers the ultimate keypad for product designers
A rugged keypad which combines strength, versatility and beauty is available from EAO - the expert partner for Human Machine Interfaces.
EAO's S.series keypad is the ultimate product for any application that requires a key-entry control, including access control systems, industrial machinery, banking terminals, public telephones, kiosks and vending machines. It is highly tactile and therefore reassuring to use, yet extremely reliable and hard-wearing enough for the harshest of environments, such as outdoor and unsupervised locations.
The S.series keypad offers great design flexibility from a standard product and can be customised to suit the environment of the application.
The keys on the S.series keypad can be engraved with a range of standard symbols or ones specified by the customer. The keypad and individual keys can be illuminated in white, blue, red, yellow and green, or a combination of these colours; halo illumination around the keys is also a possibility.
The metal-bodied S.series keypad features a front plate and anti-pull-off keys constructed from an ultra-tough material, Zamak, which guarantees a high level of impact-resistance. It is sealed to IP67 against water and dust, and it will resist heat, shock and vibration to a very high level. It is tested for quality to 4 million operations and is certified according to the latest international standards.
The S.series keypad from EAO requires minimal maintenance and delivers long term value in terms of lifecycle cost benefits.

The Digi-Inox® line, with a short switch stroke, is useful for the insertion of short data due to the different digitable feature. It is also solid, compact, unscratchable and made to be used in extreme condition, the shape of keys is round. In the side photo an example of Digi-Inox keyboard only with numerical keys and in reduced dimensions. The available models are with 1 to 98 keys and you can buy a single modular key, numerical or alphanumerical keyboards or extended keyboards with 48 to 98 keys, with frontal and back assembly and with/without trackball. The layouts are customized according to special requirements.

| GGI offers premier quality customized silicone rubber interfaces. Key design features include a wide-range of tactile feedback options, durometer levels, laser etching patterns, injection-molded plastic key tops, high resilience hard coatings and complete environmental sealing protection. |
|
Silicone rubber moulded keypads. Moulding allows freedom in the aesthetic and ergonomic design of the keypad.
RubberTouch keyboards are particularly suitable for applications such as mobile phones and access control.
|
|
Rubber keypads have long been used in remote controls, access control, telephony, mobile phones, calculators, etc.
These keypads made from Silicon Rubber are available as standard in a single basic colour, but different colours are easily possible.
The Rubber Keypad can be fitted with a conducting pin on its underside which connects to your PCB. A combination with metal dome increases the "click effect".
Quad Industries works closely with various well-known manufacturers and has already implemented many successful projects involving Rubber Keypads in combination with flexible en rigid PCBs, with and without Metal Dome. |
|
| GGI International™ is a global leader in the design, engineering, and manufacture of custom user interface assemblies. Some features include: tactile with metal, magnetic, tact or polyester domes, shielding options including ESD/EMI and RFI protection. We also offer a wide range of backlighting options, including NVIS, EL, fiber optic and LED. |
