If you need accurate, high speed weigh price labelling with longer running times, look no further than the WPL 8160. It’s specifically designed to handle small to medium size retail packs where, typically, high packing speeds of 160 packs/min are required.
Speed alone, however, is not enough because the weighing of every pack is vital to consistently efficient processing and production and this is where the 8160 excels.
To ensure that every pack is pitched correctly across the weigh table, driven side belts provide positive control and correct orientation of incoming packs. These, along with side guides that are manually adjusted to set the pack width at the input of the machine, ensure product runs true and correctly spaced over the weigh table.
The machine can regulate its own speed according to product input.

If the geology of your tunnel ranges from soft soils to weathered rock, then a Robbins Earth Pressure Balance Machine (EPBM) is the correct technical solution for your project. This is particularly true when your project is located in an urban environment and ground surface subsidence cannot be tolerated.
EPBMs are utilized in the construction of rail tunnels, metropolitan subway systems, highway tunnels, and other projects where the tunnel will be constructed either partly or completely in soft soil beneath the water table.
Robbins has integrated over 50 years of TBM design and jobsite experience into our EPBMs. Nobody has a wider range of experience designing innovative machinery to cope with difficult underground conditions. Our engineers will tailor your EPBM to handle the specific challenges of your project. From "Smooth Flow" cutterheads that reduce friction to super-reliable sealing systems and Variable Frequency Cutterhead Drives, Robbins has taken the traditional EPB design to the next level.

Earth pressure balance tunnel boring machines
Historically, EPBs were developed in order to do away with the mucking system and the reprocessing of boring slurry. To do this, the soil must ideally consist of fine elements (clay and silt) and natural water. This type of mix is rare, which is why foams were developed.
Basic principle
The earth pressure balance tunnel boring machine or EPB consists of a cutting chamber located behind the cutterhead. This chamber is used to mix the soil + water foam. It is maintained under pressure by the mucking system. The system consists of a screw conveyor whose speed is controlled so that constant pressure inside the chamber is guaranteed. The material exits the screw conveyor via a hatch that can be closed when the TBM is shut down. The material is then removed by a belt conveyor and/or train cars circulating in the tunnel.
|
|
Slurry shield tunnel boring machines
Bentonite slurry, consisting of a specific clay and water mixture is universally used in boring and digging operations. The slurry has numerous properties: sealing of the cutting face, reduced friction on the TBM's structure, and transport of cuttings to the separation plant outside the tunnel.
The basic principle of this TBM is to maintain the tunnel's cutting face during the excavation phase by filling the working chamber, located behind the cutterhead, with slurry.
Slurry pressure is carefully controlled by a large air bubble which is maintained by a separately-controlled air supply system. This air bubble acts as a damper by absorbing sudden variations in mucking output.

Scope of use
Packing loose and powdered materials like: tea, beans and ground coffee, grits, rice, candies, raisins and nuts, chemical granulated products, flour, sugar, buttons, nuts etc. into sealable materials. Additionally they are used for packing liquid and semi-liquid products, such as: milk, ketchup, mayonnaise, mineral water, etc.
There are two versions of the device; packages can be sealed by permanently heating jaws with adjustable temperature (laminates) or resistance tape by impulses with adjustable power flow time (PE).
Packaging material
Polyethylene foil, polypropylene, multi-layer laminates, polyethylene covered paper and other thermo-sealable materials.
Operation principle
Foil is unfolded off the bobbin drum and moves through feeding rolls towards the forming pipe (so-called tube). Here the foil is welded into a sleeve and the date is printed. Then the foil is moved by rubber driving belts to any fixed distance or by a stroke reflecting the graphic sign printed on the foil. Fixed amount of the product is then batched to the formed sleeve in a fixed time. Filled pouch is closed with a lateral weld, cut off and it slides down along a special skid or moves towards a stacking channel.

Leaf Chain, commonly known as "Balance Chain", is the most simple of steel chains, consisting only of link plates and pins. This chain is subject to ANSI standard, and suitable for hanging, balancing, or motion transmitting applications. Plates are connected by pins and hold the tension loaded onto the chain. Pins are to resist the shear force from tension loading applied by the link plates and to withstand abrasion from the middle plate holes when the chain articulates.

864 Robotic Balance Sample Processor – automatic weighing, dissolving, analyzing in one system
Have you ever wished you could weigh in samples directly on the rack of your processor/analyzer? Fully automatically? Now you can. The 864 Robotic Balance Sample Processor is the first system that allows you to prepare and analyze liquid samples fully automatically in one operation from weighing through to titration.
One system does it all
Metrohm’s 864 Robotic Balance Sample Processor is the first sample processor with a patented weighing technique for weighing out the sample directly on the sample rack. Thus, weighing out and analyzing the sample are integrated in a single system. Not only does automation save time and costs. As manual sample transfer from the balance to the rack has been eliminated, the risk of sample mix-ups is virtually zero.
Perfectly easy to operate
All that the operator has to do is put the sample on the rack and press «START». The 864 Robotic Balance Processor carries out the weighing and analysis fully automatically. The titration and control software tiamo™ allows flexible control of the whole titration system and at the same time guarantees full traceability of the results. Due to its compact size, space requirement for the 864 Robotic Balance Sampler are very low. The new system comes with a complete package including titrator, pumps, balance and further accessories.

Kipp & Zonen introduces a new bench-mark in net radiometry. The CNR 4 is the only instrument available that combines four sensors into one housing, complies with the World Meteorological Organisation standard ‘Good Quality’ and has an integrated ventilation unit.
CNR 4 consists of a pair of pyranometers and a pair of pyrgeometers. One set facing upward and one set facing downward. Together they measure the energy balance between short-wave and long-wave (Far Infrared) radiation. CNR 4 is built on the legacy of the popular CNR 1, but is improved in almost every respect.
CNR 4’s unique design is very light weight with an integrated sun shield to reduce thermal effects on the measurements. The meniscus dome of the upper pyrgeometer gives significantly better long-wave measurements. The optional CNF 4 ventilation unit is a unique and efficient way to reduce dirt, precipitation, dew and frost on the sensors.
CNR 4 is the perfect choice for meteorological, hydrological and agricultural scientific research. Read more and see the specifications on www.kippzonen.com.
