| Distributed Feedback (DFB) Diode Lasers are fixed wavelength single mode diode lasers. Typical geometrical sizes of the laser chip are 1000µm x 500µm x 200µm (length x width x height). The laser chip is grown by MOVPE of compound semiconductor material. The optical gain is provided by double heterostructure which include several Quantum Wells for electronic confinement. Typcal emitter width range between 3µm and 7µm. The single mode emission is enforced by a Bragg grating with the laser chip. The surfaces of the laser chip act as cavity mirrors due to the difference of the refractive index of the laser material and the surrounding air. The rear facet of the laser chip is provided with a high reflection coating. The front facet of the laser chip is provided with a high quality antireflection coating for avoiding the Fabry Perot modes of the laser chip. Distributed Feedback (DFB) Diode Lasers are available at almost any wavelength between 760nm and 2800nm. |

BC4 series diode laser beam combiners can combine up to four laser diodes with similar (at least two different wavelengths with 50 nm spacing) or disimilar wavelengths (at least 50 nm spacing) .
Photo monitor of the combined power output is an optional addition.
The standard package features an SMA receptacle for multimode fiber coupling. The combiners can accept both 5.6 mm and 9.0 mm TO packages. |

Fibercore Limited now offers a range of singlemode and polarisation maintaining fibers designed specifically for the manufacture of EDFA components.
SM980 will guide both 980 nm pump and 1550 nm signal wavelengths, has a perfectly matched-clad structure and excellent geometry, facilitating both the fabrication of low-loss 980/1550 WDMs, fusion-splicing and laser-pigtailing operations. New SM980(4.5/80) has been introduced for 'Metro' or for any application in which small form-factor is important - it is ideal for use in conjunction with Fibercore MetroGain M12/980/80
HB980T and HB1480T are polarisation maintaining fibers designed specifically for the polarisation multiplexing of 980 nm and 1480 nm pump-diodes for high-power EDFAs. Both fibers offer excellent geometry and mode-field diameters matched to those of comparable non-PM fibers, to facilitate laser pigtailing. |

The newest edition to Laser Photonics’ product line is the Titan FLS 48. This system is Laser Photonics’ first multipurpose fiber laser cutting system with a single pallet shuttle table. It is equipped with a high-powered, energy efficient fiber laser and an advanced direct drive motion control platform. Comparable to other systems, the Titan has a lighter weight design and the fastest cutting speed on the market for comparable systems. This system offers ultra low power consumption allowing for the lowest operating costs among all laser types. The Titan’s fully software-controlled geometry alignment eliminates the need for special installation requirements. The Titan requires no optical system alignment, laser service or laser replacement parts making this system virtually maintenance free.
