- Accurate & dynamic measurement of distance and speed
- Excellent performance and reliability; lightweight and stable metal housing
- Short high-energy infrared light pulses provide excellent interference immunity
- Measurements are fast offering update rates as high as 200 Hz / 2 kHz / 12 kHz
- Measurements can be taken through glass windows into sealed containers
- Narrow measurement beam with very low divergence provides excellent spatial resolution
- Measurements can be taken to almost any surface regardless of the incident beam angle or surface characteristics
- Measurements are unaffected by the temperature of the material surface and of temperature gradients in the medium between the sensor and the target surface
- The LD90-3-GF electronics unit can be combined with various optical heads to suit nearly any requirement.
- The optical head contains no electronics and is therefore extremely small, lightweight, inexpensive, high-temperature resistant, and insensitive against electromagnetic or ionizing radiation.
- The optical head can be operated in high-temperature areas as well as in high-temperature areas, whereas the electronics box can be remotely installed in a protected area.
- The glass-fiber cable provides galvanic insulation between optical head and electronics box.
- Installation as well as replacement of parts of the system in case of servicing requirements is easy and cost-effective.
Automatically controlling molten metal pouring processes can provide significant returns in terms of reduced cost, improved throughput and quality – as well as the ability to remove operators from dangerous environments.
LMI sensors are broadly used to provide accurate, sub-millimeter level information from the molten metal surface during pouring, in spite of the hostile smoky, high temperature environment
Our Metal applications division works closely with System Integrators & Original Equipment Machine Suppliers to deliver the most effective solutions for their particular sensor vision needs.
With our new Laser-Distance Sensors DLS-B you measure absolute distances up to 500 meters. Thanks to state of the art laser technology the DLS-B device measures with a precision of 1.5 millimeters. It represents a cost efficient solution even at extreme environment temperatures as low as -40° C.
The DLS-B is an optical measuring device. You can measure, maintenance-free, distances on natural and reflective surfaces. You determine positions on objects difficult to access or with very high surface temperatures. Just as well you can measure distances in an aggressive environment in an easy and accurate way.
Serial, analog and digital interfaces are standard features for the complete DLS-B product line. This enables you to easily connect the DLS-B to a control system (SPS, IPC or PC)
The DLS-B device runs in a “Stand-alone-mode” and independently executes all programmed functions. Thanks to the flexible range of functions an external display can be connected directly to the DLS-B device via interface RS232 or RS422. Via a digital input, measurements can also be activated from an external button or switch.
For easy configuration of the DLS-B devices, the necessary software is at your disposal
