The ECO2 advanced air cushion packaging system is the latest innovation in the field of void fill packaging.
The patented design features of the ECO2 provides packers with inexpensive air cushions on equipment that requires no external compressor and is fast, flexible and, most importantly, reliable.
ECO2 produces continuous streams of varying sized air bag packaging at a rate of 4 cubic metres per hour. For packaging lines that require a fast throughput, ECO2 can make over 3000 air cushions per hour.
ECO2 uses its own internal air source. This means that ECO2 is quieter, easier to move, requires less maintenance and results in lower operating costs than systems using external compressors.

Cost benefits
ECO2 cushions are a particularly cost effective method of void filling. 95% of the ECO2 cushion is fresh air cost savings of up to 40% over paper packing systems or polystyrene loosefill are common.
Unlike some other systems, ECO2 does not require pre heat-sealed film. ECO2 film is made into a simple and inexpensive 20cm wide tube. This means ECO2 film is easier to manufacture than pre-heat sealed film, allowing significant cost saving to be passed on to the customer.
This also means the packer has the flexibility to select the correct cushion size to give the optimum combination of performance and cost.
Environmental benefits
ECO2 cushions are strong, clean, easy to handle and are an environmentally positive alternative to polystyrene loosefill or paper packing systems.
The weight of cushions required to fill a given void is around 70% less than the weight of paper required to fill the same void. This results in a massive reduction in the amount of packaging consumed. The cushions are strong enough to be re-used and can also be recycled in the appropriate waste stream at the end of their useful life.
Cushions made from totally recycled plastic are an option and, 100% biodegradable cushions are available for those companies looking for an even better environmental performance.
