2D triangulation sensors (Laser Scanners)
RF620 Series
Application domain
The laser scanners are intended for non-contact measuring and checking of surface profile, dimensions, sorting and sensing of technological objects. The series includes 13 standard scanners (100 profiles/s for the full range) and 9 models of High Speed scanners (250 and 500 profiles/s for the full range)
Operating principle
Operation of the sensors is based on the principle of optical triangulation
Radiation of a semiconductor laser is formed by a lens in a line and projected to an object . Radiation scattered from the object is collected by the lens and directed to a two-dimensional CMOS-array. The image of object outline thus formed is analyzed by a signal processor, which calculates the distance to the object (Z-coordinate) for each point of the set along the laser line on the object (X-coordinate).

The Z500 laser measurement sensor solves the problem of how to measure a workpiece in-line for both width and height/depth at one time. Compared to single axis laser and vision systems, Z500 provides a unique advantage by measuring in X axis and Z axis simultaneously, improving accuracy and speed of the inspection.
Performs simultaneous width and depth/height measurements in one cycle
Eight measurement modes available, including a combination of step, width and edge position
No work piece or sensor movement required: improves measurement precision and reduces measurement cycle time
Z500 performs all data processing and calculations, eliminates need for other controllers
Two-dimensional SW-CCD and multiple incident level control allow shape measurement of curved work pieces and a wide variety of other surfaces

|
Since 1979, over four thousand LMI/Selcom ™ laser and vision sensors have provided the transportation industry with a reliable, safe and efficient way to collect critical information. In the case of road inspection, a number of laser sensors are typically mounted on a survey vehicle and driven over the road surface at highway speeds, so as not to disrupt traffic. Automated measurements of road conditions are a cost effective, reliable, accurate and safe method of collecting road conditions data as opposed to manual methods.

Leica ScanStation 2
A new Level of Versatility and Speed in Laser Scanners
With a 10-times boost in maximum instantaneous scan speed and the full freedom and accuracy of a total station, Leica ScanStation 2 lifts laser scanning to the next level. This speed and productivity boost builds on the already industry-leading versatility of the ScanStation™ class of laser scanner to make High-Definition Surveying™ (HDS™) profitable for even more as-built and topographic survey projects.
For many as-built and topographic surveys, laser scanners have already proven to significantly reduce field labor compared to traditional methods. ScanStation 2's jump-step increase in pulsed scan speed further slashes these costs - field labor is now as little as one-fifth of that of traditional methods for many projects.
Infrastructure
ScanStation 2 extends the benefits of safe, cost-effective road surveys from urban and multi-lane roads & intersections to 2-lane roads & intersections.
Sites
Using ScanStation 2 for topographic surveys of small sites and sites up to hundreds of acres cuts initial survey costs and reduces site re-visits.
Buildings
Small buildings and tall buildings can be cost-effectively surveyed, both inside and out. Digital photos can be overlaid for added realism.

3D Laser Scanners
Application domain
3D laser scanners are designed for non-contact scanning of products for obtaining 3D computer-simulated models.
Operating principle
The scanners have been developed for primary use with Beaver-type woodworker milling machines. The supply package includes an Series RF603 laser sensor, synchronization module and software package. In the scanning mode, the machine CNC system sequentially moves the laser scanner over the prototype of the product thus forming a digitized model of the prototype. The model obtained is memorized as a cloud of dots as well as in a general STL format suitable for subsequent use in CNC machining

Leica T-Scan TS50 is a high-speed hand scanner for large-volume portable applications and offers a maximal measurement volume of 30m (98ft). This second-generation Leica T-Scan is 20 percent lighter and 30 percent smaller than the original Leica T-Scan introduced in 2005.
The Leica T-Scan system consists of a handheld scanner whose position is tracked by a Leica Geosystems Laser Tracker. This solution requires neither photogrammetric targets nor powdering of object surfaces and is impervious to changing environmental light.
The laser line of the scanner itself consists of individual dots, their intensity can be adjusted on the fly so surfaces of different reflective properties, from shiny to black, can be scanned in one step with no action required from the operator. Leica T-Scan scans large objects more accurately and 50 percent faster than comparable products.
The total system accuracy of the Leica T-Scan solution is up to 30 µm (0.0012").

FastSCAN is lightweight and portable, with the ability to scan objects in their natural environment, onsite. This is particularly useful for physiological scanning applications since the device allows free form handheld scanning with no mechanical constraints. The Cobra instantly acquires three dimensional surfaces by gathering measurements made by smoothly sweeping a handheld laser scanning wand over an object - in a manner similar to spray painting. The object's image instantly appears on your computer screen and the finished scan is processed to combine any overlapping sweeps, significantly reducing the time to develop surface models of virtually any object with little or no metal content. The three-dimensional data can then be saved in industry-standard formats for loading into other programs.
|
|
Features :
- Instant tracking technology
- Industry-leading Perceptron V5 laser scanner
- Large measurement volume
- Integrated touch probing
- Dynamic referencing
Key Benefits:
- Exceptional ease of use for higher measurement throughput
- Perform walkabout scanning without beam-breaks, mechanical linkages, or photogrammetry targets
- Use your preferred data collection program - all major point-cloud software applications are supported
- Conduct freeform scanning of difficult geometries from multiple angles of approach
- Reduce operator fatigue with an ergonomic and lightweight scanner design
- Use the system's large measurement volume to scan large parts in one setup

O2DS Scanner measures where others give up - think of hot rolled steel.
The O2DS scanner is an optoelectronic unit for non-contact precision measurement in two dimensions, developed for 2D- / profile-measurement in all kinds of industrial applications.
The O2DS is a laser scanner of the Flying Spot type. The measurement is performed by oscillating the triangulation plane over an angel up to 50°. A fine focused/collimated laser beam is diffusely reflected from the surface of almost any kind of object, and a CCD-camera records the image through an objective.
The measuring frequency is 2 kHz. Different scanning angels can be combined with four different measuring ranges. The smallest range covers 80 to 180 mm and the largest 380 to 1080 mm. The smaller the measuring range is, the higher the resolution will be.
As well as the ODS sensors, the 02DS scanner can be delivered as HT (high temperature) models for measuring on objects with surface temperature up to about 1200°C. Used under such conditions, precautions must be taken to protect the scanner from the heat.
Scanners can furthermore be customized to other than standard scan angels and measuring ranges.
For more detailed information please study the PDF/datasheet on our website www.sensor.dk

Cobra 2D is a portable laser scanning system that provides high resolution linear profiles. And since it uses low power laser light, it is ideal for fragile or pliable parts that have critical surface contours. It's quick and easy to measure height, length, slope, and radius.
Its Scan-X®software makes scanning easy. View and analyze scans for the dimensional information you need. The heart of the system is field proven DRS™ (Digital Range Sensor) technology, combined with accurate motor control, and data analysis software. Since Cobra 2D scans by moving the DRS sensor over the surface, no special fixturing is required. Cobra is portable. When used with a laptop computer, you can take it where you need it.
