The Excalibur Flexible Manufacturing Cell is a unique concept system from Laser Photonics, LLC. The Excalibur is the latest in lean manufacturing technology and offers a complete turnkey solution for manufacturers and production facilities. This new concept introduces the idea of using one Fiber Laser Module to control the tasks of up to four different machines with the use of one optical switch. The Excalibur is specifically designed for any manufacturer or production facility that performs applications which entail laser cutting, welding or remote welding and sheet cutting or marking. This concept is leading the way in helping manufacturers increase their production speed while lowering operating costs, floor space and initial capital spent on more expensive machines. The Excalibur is perfect in situations where robot training time is slowing down production and costing valuable time and money.
One of the main benefits of this flexible manufacturing cell is the many ways the system reduces operation costs. Since the system is operating off of one module the cost is instantly reduced by the amount of additional modules. In these cases the Excalibur can easily be upgradable when production needs to be increased. |

Cutting with the speed of light, Laser cutting has a very special place in the BWCutters portfolio offering a specialities less suited to blade cutting such as acrylics and is particularly popular with sailmakers and kitemakers who need to seal the edge of their material as they cut.
BW Cutters have been manufacturing laser cutting for the technical textile industry for over twenty years and still have customers using their original cutters we are specifically a flatbed cutting machine manufacturer and it was BW Cutters that introduced laser cutting into this industry sector.
Our customers are worldwide from USA to China and are used for example by the largest sail making companies in the world, such as Elvstrom-Sobstad and Hoods
One important factor in any Laser Cutting machine is the Laser unit itself the quality and reliability of this is critical and we have a long relationship with our supplier Synrad out of Seatle who offer a very efficient unit within a lighter mass than alternative manufacturers. This enables us to carry the unit on the gantry with no reduction in speed and movement. The fact that we carry the unit horizontally on the gantry then allows us to deliver the cutting beam to the material in the best and most efficient way, basically the distance between the unit and cutting point is only the height of the gantry meaning that the cutting beam length is as short as possible.
Another very important feature with our laser is that we deliver dc voltage directly to the laser head not through an expensive RF cable which would lead to significant power loss and such a long RF cable would can be prone to wear and tear damage. |

Laser technology is becoming very popular for the processing of woven or non-woven (synthetic) fabrics or fibrous materials for example:
- Industrial filters
- Sport and leisure clothing, protective suits
- Automobile fittings (airbags, furnishing, etc.).
The laser beam works without contact and without tool erosion. There is no distortion by a mechanical tool. The fused edges do not fray. No seaming is necessary with most synthetic textiles.

New cutting to length machine for automatic sections of role commodity
All kinds of flat materials become multiple the subsequent treatment
on a certain longitudinal dimension cut and are available then as rectangular cuts.
more assyst/bullmer this cut process automated. Many industries use already cutting to length tables with Querscheindvorrichtung. The rationalization printing with the processing of technical textiles has
new need for such plants production.
The role commodity becomes on a provision car to a conveyer table
in supply position brought and the role beginning under a feedroll wedged, in order to manufacture a friction with the conveyer of the table.
The operator positions the light barrier car on the desired cutting to length mark. With start of the automatic enterprise the table promotes that
accurate length need up to the cutting off position forwards and the gumption property
one separates. This procedure repeats itself, until the conveyer also
the first cut reaches the table end (sensor stop). The user
and by foot switches the mechanism can infer the cuts again
set on.
Cutting to length tables in the work widths 1600, 1800 and 2000 mm become
offered according to standard. Table length and custom-form widths produce
more assyst/bullmer gladly according to requirement. The plants are installed in many textile-processing enterprises.
Optionally an automatic destacking mechanism is available, which stacks the manufactured sections. |
