Our TS 4.20 2D system cuts and welds metal sheets by means of a single, special cutting and welding head. The system can process metal sheets with dimensions from 1000 x 2000mm to 2050 x 4100mm and thicknesses from 1 mm to 8 mm, with laser power of 5000W or 6000W. After the process, the metal sheets can measure 4000 x 20000 mm and more. The machine is equipped with an automatic loading system, which allows a high degree of automation and prolonged continuous operation.
Like all TTM machines, the TS 4.20 2d was designed using FEM (Finite Elements Method) structural computation software that enables the dimensional features of the structures to be defined and the strain and deformation states to be optimised in relation to the stresses applied. With this new solution developed to meet customers' specific needs, TTM once again presents itself as a partner-supplier of ideas that translate into innovative, reliable and technologically advanced machines.

Functionality

A single machine cuts and welds flat sheet and three-dimensional parts, performs bevel cut for the weld preparation and processes tubes. Boasting the high dynamics of a 2D machine, DOMINO is a 5-axis machine with a considerable work volume and an extremely reduced footprint.
The new DOMINO direct-drive head is highly dynamic and extremely precise, ensuring excellent cutting quality even on thick sheets.
DOMINO is the only 5-axis machine with an F-axis for automatically controlling the focal position. This allows continuous processing of different materials and thicknesses, and accurate process control all over the work volume. Thanks to the rapid tool change system, the DOMINO head can be easily reconfigured to adapt to all types of processing.

MD CARTESIAN is a laser system dedicated to cutting and welding works on components of medium dimension, with complex joining geometry too. The cell is a 3 or 5 axis system, with a Cartesian configuration.
It is possible to use both CO2 laser sources both Nd:YAG laser sources with different powers according to the specific applications.
The cell has two interchangeable optic groups for cutting and welding works. The two optic groups are special modules, realized by RTM, provided with circuits for the cooling of the mirrors and the adduction of the shielding gases.
In the base solution the principal characteristics are: 3 axis machine with movements obtained by ball bearing screw and top quality brushless motor checked with encoder; flying optics: allows to obtain many different configuration with a special focusing head studied according to the need of production;- axis control board with high performance processor; protection cabin for total safety with interlock elements on all access.

EXTESA MJ is a modular laser system dedicated to operations of cutting and welding on big dimensions components. The plant uses CO2 or Nd:YAG sources and in the standard solution, the maximum working envelope is 24 m in length, 3.6 m in width and 0.7 m in height, with double fixed bench for component loading/unloading and clamping in different areas of the working volume. It is obviously possible to answer to specific demands and opportunely vary the configurations in accordance with the customer. The system is characterised by two mobile portals with synchronised motion: a first portal is dedicated to the movement of the focusing heads while the second is dedicated to the movement of the laser source.
The proposed solution is characterised by an optical path that will be constant in length, thank to an articulated arm. This option allows high levels of acceleration, normally not available when moving big masses as a multi-kilowatt laser resonator.
The system is available in different solutions for the specific demands and is proper for those sectors in which it is necessary to work on large structures: military, shipbuilding and building industry, reticular structures for civil use and, generally, all land, nautical and aeronautical means of transport.The laser system is usable for cutting and welding a great range of materials: steels, aluminum and aluminum alloys, superalloys, titanium and titanium alloys an so on.
