The simple to use Model 21-070 Gas Manufacturer of leak detector is engineered for easy, one hand operation of detecting leaks in GC systems or any pressurized gas system in laboratory or industrial locations. The instrument can be operated with little or not training. Simply turn the instrument on, zero, and point the instrument’s thin pencil-tip probe at the area of interest. The probe is designed to reach difficult and confined locations to pinpoint the exact problem location. An Light emitting diode display visually indicates leaks. An audible alarm also signals a leak. No messy soap solutions. No system contamination. Response time is less than 2 seconds for all gases. Helium leaks of 1 x 10-5 cc/sec are easily detected, as are other gases such as refrigerant leaks of 1.1 x 10-4 cc/sec.
The Model 21-070 features microprocessor control with computer interfacing (optional), selectable sensitivity settings, as well as flash memory for saving various settings, i.e., alarm mode, alarm set-point, alarm volume, peak hold delay, LED brightness, sensitivity, and pump speed. The 21-070 Mini Gas Leak Detector weighs only 1.05 lbs (476 grams) and has a rechargeable Ni-Cd battery. A charger is also included.

The HDP-9900 leak detector is the ideal instrument for detecting leaks in pressurized professional cables, suppliers of storage tanks or any closed system that can be pressurized with the tracer professional gas. The HDP should be used with Helium as a tracer gas. Helium, a Noble gas, is inert and does not react with other elements which make it the ideal tracer media.
Key features
- Sensitivity down to 25 PPM of tracer gas
- Uses Helium as the primary racer gas in pressurized applications
- Rechargeable Ni-MH professional battery provides 8 hours of continuous operation
- Can be operated in automatic and manual modes |

The Simrad GDU is an acoustical detector that responds to pressurised gas leaks.
The GDU does not detect specific value s of LEL or ppm rather, it responds to the sound generated by escaping gas at ultrasonic frequencies.
Such signals are generated when leakage occurs at sonic velocity; this requires a driving pressure of at le as t 2 bar.
The detected sound is proportional to the leak rate (mass flow rate). In basic terms, the greater the leak rate (large leak ), the greater the ultrasound emitted. The unit responds instantly to leaks operating over wide dB range by monitoring the characteristic ultrasonic sound pattern of a gas leak (frequencies above hum an hearing).
Back ground noise is blanked out by a threshold set by the control room.
Acoustic gas manufacturer of leak detectors complement traditional gas detection methods used in refineries, gas plant, and offs h ore installations.
No calibration.
Early warning of pressurised leaks
Wide detection range
No maintenance
No field calibration
Standard 4-20 m A output |

GasCheck R2pc is designed specifically for the leakage detection and measurement of refrigerant and air-conditioning gases including CFC's, HFC's and HCFC's.
The instrument is light weight and handheld enabling the user to locate a leak and to take a direct leak rate measurement in a simple one handed operation.
Robust and reliable, GasCheck R2pc has a choice of display units either as a gas weight loss, gm/yr or as a concentration of gas leakage in air, ppm.
Sourcing a leak is made simple as when a leak is detected above the set alarm level an audible alarm is sounded and an LED flashes leaving the user in no doubt that a leak has been detected. |

QMS 403 C Aëolos® - Quadrupole Manufacturer of mass spectrometer
The QMS 403 Aëolos® quadrupole mass spectrometer is a new compact mass spectrometer with a heated capillary inlet system for routine analysis of gases and, in particular, volatile decomposition products of thermal analysis. This system has been optimized for coupling to differential scanning calorimeters, dilatometers and thermogravimetric industrial analyzers.
The high temperature of the gas transfer system and the absence of pressure reduction orifices practically eliminate condensation of decomposition products during thermal analysis experiments. This achieves a high detection sensitivity and facilitates quantitative detection of all identified gas components.
Via the inlet system with the fused silica capillary, other gas sources can be investigated with the QMS 403 C Aëolos® independent of thermal analysis; for that purpose, the QMS is operated with the self-contained software.
The concept of the NETZSCH thermal analysis instruments has been laid out from the start for coupling with gas analysis systems like the QMS 403 C Aëolos® or an FTIR system with a gas cell, through consistent optimization of the gas paths with complete heating from the professional furnace to the manufacturers of gas detector. This eliminates gas loss through condensation at cold spots and only very low carrier gas flows are sufficient for complete transfer. |
