SSI Technologies Inc. offers two families of ultrasonic liquid level sensors - Fluid-Trac® and Acu-Trac®.
More accurate than resistive float senders, reed-switch tube sensors, or capacitive tube senders. Accuracy of level volume measurements is dependant on the tank shape and irregularities.
Fluid-Trac® and Acu-Trac® liquid level sensors are programmable to allow for non-linear flexible tank profiling. Tank irregularities are handled by our software using tank strapping profiles. Digital filtering helps eliminates errors due to liquids sloshing in mobile tanks.
More reliable - no moving parts. Resistive float senders have a wiper that slides across a resistive strip that with time can wear out and cause intermittent or complete loss of the signal.
Mounts to the same opening as the resistive float sender but does not protrude into the tank. Chemically compatible with many liquids such as gasoline, ethanol, diesel fuel, oils, engine coolants, fresh water, waste water, urea (AdBlue).

The APM 3DLinkPro provides state-of-the-art GSM/GPRS wireless communications with all APM products. I significantly enhances customer service by providing the following key benefits:
- Easy software upgrades
- Remote analysis of data
- Remote diagnosis of system performance
- Remote system configuration
The possibility of such remote access is especially adventageous in situations where traditional wiring would require considerably more work and expense - where units are installed far from home base and/or over a broad terrain.

The externally-mounted Thermo Scientific LevelPRO continuous level gauge uses energy attenuation to accurately monitor and control the level of liquids, solids, foam and vapors in many different sizes and shapes of vessels. Its non-contacting design is ideal for abrasive, corrosive, high pressure and high temperature applications and the unique gamma transmission technology is unaffected by process variables such as pressure, temperature, viscosity or density. The LevelPRO features an integrated transmitter/detector that ensures high accuracy and enables operators to respond rapidly to variations in level. In addition, the extremely sensitive scintillation detector uses a small nuclear source yet provides highly accurate readings. The typical repeatability is 0.5% of the detector span. Standard detector lengths are available in 1 ft increments from 1 ft to 12 ft. Multiple detectors can be installed end-to-end to satisfy large span requirements. The LevelPRO is available in a standard steel enclosure, or an optional water-cooled enclosure for high-temperature installations. The instrument’s menu-driven setup simplifies installation.

The OTT RLS, non-contact radar level sensor with pulse radar technology is ideal for monitoring in remote or hard to reach locations. The RLS accurately and efficiently measures surface water level. Approximately 16 individual measurements are conducted each second and averaged after 20 seconds to minimize the influences of waves.
The OTT RLS offers a large measurement range with a small blanking distance and narrow beam width. The sensor is easily connected to most any data logger via standardized communication interfaces. The RLS has extremely low power consumption and is ideal for remote or solar powered sites.

For measuring ranges up to 70 m, VEGA now has an optimised radar technology in its program. Due to its increased receiver sensitivity (factor 40), VEGAPULS 68 delivers reliable measured values in spite of higher signal damping in solids.
Non-contacting radar measurement delivers reliable levels in dusty environments, like in storage facilities for building materials. Also in the food processing industry, in steel production as well as for level measurement of powders and granulates in the chemical industry, the extended measuring range has proven to be extremely effective. Adjustable fl anges allow the eduction of false refl ections and the optimisation of the useful echo.
All advantages in an overview
- non-contact measurement
- unaffected by dust generation
- not infl uenced by fi lling noise
- high dynamic range of the sensor
- measuring range up to 70 m
- antenna cleaning by cooling air
- dust-Ex approval

These self-contained Ultrasonic Sensors provide level control of both liquid and bulk materials. This gives the user a viable alternative to bubblers, floats, capacitance probes, and pressure transmitters.
With sensing ranges of 30 and 40 feet respectively many tanks are within reach. Their incorporation of a microprocessor design makes it possible to achieve signal conditioning. This gives the sensor the ability to process the return ultrasonic echo and distinguish between false targets and real targets.
With the incorporation of a microcontroller into the design of the RPS-3000PVC and RPS-4000 many of the common problems facing long range sensing applications have been overcome. Software was then written to optimize the performance characteristics of the sensors. The artificial intelligence analyzes and conditions the return ultrasonic echo. This process filters out any false echoes and electrical noise. An additional task that the microcontroller does is temperature compensation.
The following is a brief list of features for the RPS-3000PVC and RPS-4000.
SIMPLE CALIBRATION: The sensing window can be adjusted by using one of three easy methods. NOTE: When the sensors are powered up and the control lines not used, they are factory preset to maximum range.

Pulsar's innovative dB range of transducers has taken ultrasonic level measurement into a new era. Unlike the high voltage, frequency dependent transducers of other manufacturers, which require special, protected interconnect cables, or low powered transducers built with intrinsic safety rather than performance in mind, the dB series combines low electrical power that meets intrinsic safety requirements with extraordinary high sonic power to give range and performance.

Continuous level measurement over a measuring range of up to 8 meters
The Tower-Sens is a rod detector based on the well-known level gauging system LB 490 Uni-Probe. It has been designed specifically to monitor large measuring ranges.
With only one electronic unit and only one flameproof-housing, the Tower-Sens is significantly more economical than systems comprising several short, cascading detectors. Moreover, the wiring efforts and the risk of complete system failure are drastically reduced.
The combination of good value, reliability, accuracy and low source activity make the Tower-Sens the ideal solution for measuri
