The RPS-401A, RPS-426A analog ultrasonic sensor is mounted in a barrel housing and is completely self contained. It is powered by 20-30VDC and is reverse polarity protected. It also has a narrow beam angle which enables it to get into tight places. The RPS-401A, 426A has 2 short circuit protected analog outputs, 4-20mA and 0-10VDC.
The RPS-401A barrel is constructed of plastic Valox and is available in two adjustable measuring ranges: 4-40" and 8-80".
The RPS-426A has a stainless steel barrel housing and an adjustable measuring range of 8-80".
A standard 6 foot cable is provided. An optional quick disconnect plugs is available. |

| Pulsar's innovative dB range of transducers has taken ultrasonic level measurement into a new era. Unlike the high voltage, frequency dependent transducers of other manufacturers, which require special, protected interconnect professional cables, or low powered transducers built with intrinsic safety rather than performance in mind, the dB series combines low electrical power that meets intrinsic safety requirements with extraordinary high sonic power to give range and performance. |

Ultrasound level sensor manufacturer SIMATIC PXS
Recording of fill levels from a distance of 3 cm to 10 m
Our sonar proximity switches sense objects of varying materials, shapes, colors or consistencies with absolute precision, flexibility and reliability.
The ultrasound level sensor is proper for level applications in containers due to its design and its technical constructions. The devices feature two switching outputs to which different distances can be assigned. This allows, for example, the minimum and maximum fill level in a tank to be evaluated. Regardless whether the objects are liquid, solid, powdery or even transparent. |

| The Ramsey SonaTech Sonic Level Indicator can accurately determine the level of bulk solids or liquids in any bin, tank or other professional container. It provides more penetrating power, because it operates in the 5-30 kHz range. That means superior performance in dusty, turbulent or steamy atmospheres. |

Short ultrasonic pulses between 10 kHz and 70 kHz are emitted by the transducer. These pulses are reflected by the product surface and received again by the transducer. They spread with sound velocity and the time from emission to receipt of the signals is proportional to the level in the vessel.
Latest microprocessor technology and proven ECHOFOX® professional software select the level echo from a number of false reflections and measure it exactly.
Just by entering the vessel dimensions, a level-proportional signal can be displayed. An adjustment with emptied and filled vessel is no longer necessary!
Thanks to different emitting frequencies, levels can be detected in a measuring range between 4 m and 70 m. Optional swivelling holders enable an ideal positioning of the sensors in the solid area.
Fluctuations of the product compositions or complete product changes do not influence the measurement results. A new adjustment is not necessary.
Advantages
- Non-contact
- Independent of product characteristics
Applications
- Level measurement of solids and liquids
- Good chemical resistance |

These self-contained Ultrasonic sensors provide level control of both liquid and bulk materials. This gives the user a viable alternative to bubblers, floats, capacitance probes, and industrial pressure transmitters.
With sensing ranges of 30 and 40 feet respectively many tanks are within reach. Their incorporation of a microprocessor design makes it possible to achieve signal conditioning. This gives the sensor the ability to process the return ultrasonic echo and distinguish between false targets and real targets.
With the incorporation of a microcontroller into the design of the RPS-3000PVC and RPS-4000 many of the common problems facing long range sensing applications have been overcome. Professional software was then written to optimize the performance characteristics of the sensors. The artificial intelligence analyzes and conditions the return ultrasonic echo. This process industrial filters out any false echoes and electrical noise. An additional task that the microcontroller does is temperature compensation.
The following is a brief list of features for the RPS-3000PVC and RPS-4000.
SIMPLE CALIBRATION: The sensing window can be adjusted by using one of three easy methods. NOTE: When the sensors are powered up and the control lines not used, they are factory preset to maximum range.

The Model AD-101 consists of an ultrasonic sensor and
electronic professional control unit, integral or remotely mounted. The
electronics generate an ultrasonic signal that completely
illuminates the liquid flowing through the tube. The presence
of a bubble or professional foam in the liquid will interrupt the
transmission and generate an output. This output will then
provide a real-time indication of the disturbance in the liquid. |

Piezoelectric film ultrasound industrial transmitters and professional receivers offer unique advantages for air ranging applications. Resonance frequency and vertical beam directivity of the transmitter and receiver can easily be customized by changing the diameter and length of the PVDF professional cylinder. Cylindrical PVDF receivers exhibit very wide horizontal or omni-directional beam directivity and broad band characteristics. These characteristics lend unique solutions in many applications such as two-dimensional positioning, digitizer, object detection, and distance measurement. Piezo film ultrasound transducers also have very low resonance "Q" values. This means that the signal rise and decay times are much shorter than conventional ceramic ultrasound transducers, making Piezo film transducers ideal for positioning applications.
