The vertically mounted TR420 with integral signal conditioner provides a reliable 4-20 mA proportional electronic output in tank levels up to twelve feet. Available with stainless steel, polypropylene or Buna floats and a wide selection of mounting styles and materials, the TR420 can be used to input programmable controllers, meters and other digital receivers for accurate and continuous measurement in many liquid level applications. The variety of float styles and densities afford the best and most direct means for continually monitoring surface interfaces of dissimilar liquids in a single tank.

Description: The LM Series incorporates stainless steel and plastic isolation suitable for level sensing in water, other liquid and gas. The LM series uses a patent pending low cost stainless steel sensor in a PVC plastic fitting. The modular design is adaptable to an infinite number of plastic port variations. With high performance in a small form factor, the LM Series enables the miniaturization of high accuracy pressure and vacuum systems. The standard output is .5V to 4.5V with a 5V supply.

The Digital E3 Modulevel® is an advanced, intrinsically safe two-wire instrument utilizing simple buoyancy principle to detect and convert liquid level changes into a stable 4–20 mA output signal. The linkage between the
level sensing element and output electronics provides a simple mechanical design and construction. The vertical in-line design of the transmitter results in low instrument weight and simplified installation. The instrument comes in a variety of configurations and pressure ratings for varied applications.
The Digital E3 Modulevel has microprocessor-based electronics with HART® compatible output, in addition to the standard 4–20 mA output. E3 supports the FDT/DTM standard and a PACTware™ PC software package allows for additional configuration and trending capabilities.

Hydrostatic Tank Gauging (HTG)

The techniques employed by Enraf tank gauging systems are complementary, yet each has its own advantage. The hydrostatic systems (HTG), which can be used in a mixed installation with SmartRadar level gauges and ATG and XTG servo gauges.
HTG is a system based on the use of intelligent hydrostatic pressure transmitters. Basically this system is designed for direct mass measurement. In the process industry, this technology is common used for deriving a level indication.

Level measurement by hydrostatic pressure
The use of a pressure transmitter for the level measurement is an economical solution in particular for the chemical and petrochemical industries. The transmitter can be with direct or capillary mounted diaphragm seals.
These instruments can handle extreme chemical and mechanical loads and are no sensitive to electromagnetic interference. They can be used for all liquids, corrosive or not, and for closed or open tanks.

Sitron's Hydrostatic Level Probes are specifically designed for depth/level measurements in groundwater, deep wells, water towers, rivers, sewage treatment plants and other similar applications. The Hydrostatic Level Probes are fully encapsulated and are housed in a weatherproof cylindrical enclosure. Offering a great degree of flexibility, they can be constructed with 316S.S. rigid rods or with special polyurethane, kevlar-lined, waterproof and vented cables for depth measurements.
These probes can be made with either 316 S.S. piezoresistive or ceramic cells. Their compact design enables the probes to work within pipe diameters as little as 3/4”. The 842 models are available with an electronic module within the enclosure providing a Zero/Span adjustment. All of Sitron's Hydrostatic Level Probes have a 4-20mA (2 wire) output signal and are fully temperature compensated.

Conductivity measurements are carried out in industrial processes primarily to obtain information on total ionic concentrations (e.g. dissolved compounds) in aqueous solutions. Widely used applications are water purification, CIP/SIP control and the measurement of concentration levels in solutions.
