Description
Standard liquid level sensor. The sensor has to be mounted vertically for best results. Two versions are available:
PP (Polypropylene) for water applications and dilute acids.
PA (Polyamide) for use in oil, gasoline (petrol) and brake fluid.
The standard termination is a PVC cable with a cross section of 0.14 mm2 and a length of 500 mm. The cable can be modified on request.

HVAC Series Condensate Level Switches
Plastic Float Level switch consists of a magnetic float, unit stem with magnetic reed switch, the magnetic float moves with liquid level to actuate a hermetically sealed magnetic switch within the unit stem. The range includes vertical and horizontal mounted single and multi float types including the side mounted crocodile type.
The float switches are compact, reliable and very easy to install. They are not affected by electrical interference and with a wide range of materials are able to withstand various chemicals, high temperatures and high pressures. By varying the size of float and material used we are able to make sure the switch activities correctly every time.
The activation of the switch uses the principle of a reed switch and magnet.
When used in the vertical position the reed inside the stem is stationary and the float (housing a magnet) is moved up or down passed the reed switch (this closes the reed contact). When the magnetic field is moved away the reed switch opens.
When used in a horizontal position the float is used in a pivotal movement. The magnetic field inside the float is moved into the proximity of the reed switch inside the stationary stem. The reed switch opens or closes.

The horizontally mounted L070 is a rugged, hazardous duty level switch providing a safe, isolated switch closure for monitoring high and low liquid levels. With an all stainless steel construction and ultra-light float, the L070 provides high performance in most any media and can be adapted to sense dissimilar fluid interfaces within a 0.1 differential.
FM approved for Class I, Division 1, Groups C,D,E, F & G hazardous locations, the L070 also features a water-tight switch enclosure with a standard ½" NPT conduit connection and can be installed for either normally open or normally closed switching.

Bernstein designs and manufactures a modular system of float switches which can be combined and configured to create a switch that ideally meets customer specifications.
Float switches provide a reliable and cost-effective acquisition of level information in containers with stagnant or flowing liquids, such as water, oils, alkaline solutions and similar substances.
A float switch comprises a connector element, a switching tube with 1 to 4 reed contacts and the float. The float is equipped with an integrated ring magnet and rises and falls with the level of the fluid. The magnetised contact reeds trigger a signal as soon as the float reaches the sensing range of the reed contact.
The range of Bernstein float switches ranges from miniature versions to heavy-duty and pressure-resistant versions.
The particular advantage of these float switches is, that the switching contact can directly – when furnished with the proper protection – switch loads, e. g. relays, signal lamps or even small pumps.

ACS certified float level switch for a mandatory use in drinking water (EP) meant for human consumption.
