SF4B series: Global safety light curtain with muting, Type 4
Just as with the SF4-A series, the SF4B series remains impervious to interference from extraneous light. However, the SF4B series is more compact, includes muting control circuits in the light curtian and an override function that allows a manufacturing line to restart operation after the line has been stopped, even while muting control was active. These functions all contribute to a light curtain that provides greatly improved safety with no loss in productivity. Now also available with new corner mirrors for less work and less wiring. Safety Light Curtain
Dangerous points and hazardous areas are safeguarded with safety light curtains. Depending on the type, finger and hand protection are available with operating distances of up to 20m. They are available in safety categories 2 and 4 (according to IEC 61496).
Perimeter/Multi-Beam
Hazardous areas can be safeguarded by using multi-beam photoelectric safety guards. They are used as non-contact access guarding and consist of sender and receiver or can be implemented as an active/passive system to save wiring effort.

Leuze lumiflex has extended its delivery range of safety sensor technology with the integrated PROFIsafe interface. In addition to the type 3 safety laser scanner, RS4-4/PROFIsafe, a type 4 safety light curtain with integrated PROFIsafe interface is now also available with the COMPACTplus/PROFIsafe. The PROIBUS DP bus activation is performed here directly and without additional bus coupling modules. With a data transfer rate of up to 12 MBd, both the safe cyclic and the acyclic data traffic are supported on the PROFIBUS DP. Rapid safety-relevant real-time data, such as a switch-off command when operating the sensor and comprehensive diagnostics data with the controlling PLC, for example, can consequently be exchanged. COMPACTplus/PROFIsafe meets the requirements of SIL 3 in accordance with IEC 61508 and is available with the blanking, muting and cycle control function packages. The individual adjustment of the functions is performed via the optical PC interface of the receiver with “teach-in” and with the aid of the convenient diagnostics and parametering software, SafetyLab.

Safe4 light curtain is a contactless safety device with built-in self-testing. It contains two redundant self-monitored chan nels which fulfill index IV of the Machine Directive EC/98/37 as cat. 4 safety light curtains and IEC / EN 61496.
The light curtain system is very resistant to ambient light interference and can cope easily and very reliably with demanding applications, such as welding robots. The large detection range (up to 30 m for hand-resolution and up to 9 m for finger-resolution) also enables the reliable safeguarding of hazardous zones covering large areas. With Safe4 units available starting at 120 mm lengths, they are optimally designed to safeguard small hazardous areas.In addition, it is also possible to combine multiple protective fields (cascading or L-configuration), and monitor them with a single controller. D-LAS Series - Laser Digital Light Barriers
The laser digital light barriers of D-LAS Series work with visible parallel laser light. The use of round or rectangular apertures ensures a homogeneous light distribution in the laser beam. Smallest objects are detected even in case of a large transmitter/receiver distance. Dynamic correction of the switching threshold compensates the effect of dirt accumulation
(with D-LAS1, D-LAS2, D-LAS34, and D-LAS-34/90).

Transmitter and receiver of through-beam sensors are separate. This means that the emitted light has to travel the distance between transmitter and receiver only once. Therefore they are called through-beam sensors.These types can reach very large scanning ranges.
For the use of through-beam sensors, their sensing range is essential. In case of very critical ambience conditions, as strong formations of dust or steam, it is important to pay attention that the sensors cannot be run at their sensing range limits. Attenuation may result, which reduces the sensing range.
The sensing range listed in the data sheet should not be exceeded, in order to guarantee functionality even in bad operating conditions. If corner mirrors are used, the total distance to be monitored should be within the indicated sensing range.
A special feature of the one-way sensors is the FLS/FLE 18 laser sensor. In this version, the sensor is equipped with special focussing optics. This makes it possible to alter the diameter of the light spot. The scanning distance of this sensor is max. 50 m.The light spot can be reduced to a diameter of 0.03 mm. As a result it is possible to reliably detect even the smallest objects at a greater distance.

Application:
Optoelectronic safety device are used as entry, danger point or danger zone guards.
SLB range safety light barriers ar utilised as entry guards to dangerous areas. these protection devices operating without physical contact achieve Control Category 2 or 4 to EN 954-1 in combination with SLB 200-C or SLB 400-C safety monitoring modules.
Design and mode of operation:
On the SLB/SLC/SLG ranges of optoelectronic safety devices, the emitter and receiver are fitted in two separate enclosures. An invisible infra-red signal is sent from the emitter and this is picked up by the lens system of the receiver and evaluated either by an integral or external safety monitoring module. If the light beam is interrupted, the secure outputs are switched.
All of the optoelectronic safety devices listed here are maintenance-free and are characterised by simple fitting and adjustment.

General description:
The CX-400 series of photoelectric sensors is a wide-ranging lineup of 116 different models. Whatever your application entails, SUNX has covered it with this series. Built to IP-67 standards, the CX-400 series is designed for the most demanding environments. There are also models that are specifically design for resistance to oil, coolant, or ethanol. Couple this with high electrical noise resistance and a built in interference prevention function, and you have one of the most robust sensors on the market.
The CX-400 series is compact in size (W11.2mm x H31.0mm x D20.0mm) with a world standard mounting pitch of 25.4mm. Wiring options include a M8 quick disconnect, M12 quick disconnect, or built-in wire type with a length of 0.5mm, 2m, or 5m.
High precision optics as well as high performance circuitry provides extremely stable sensing for determining small height differences, detecting transparent objects, and subtle color differences.
