Aerotech's "U-channel" brushless linear servomotors have proven ideal for robots, actuators, tables/stages, fiberoptics/photonics alignment and positioning, assembly, machine tools, semiconductor equipment, electronic manufacturing, vision systems, and in many other industrial automation applications. Aerotech linear motors are direct drive and consist of a noncontacting forcer coil and "U-channel" rare-earth magnet track. This design eliminates backlash, windup, wear, and maintenance issues associated with ball screw, belt, and rack and pinion based motion control and positioning systems. The noncontact design of the forcer and magnet track results in a maintenance-free system.

Baumüller linear motors have been designed for use as direct drives with synchronous motors. Customized motor concepts can be created using a modular system, meaning that Baumüller linear motors can achieve maximum thrust forces of up to 14,750 N.
Baumüller linear motors are synchronous motors. They consist of a primary with a wound lamination stack and a secondary with permanent magnets (magnetic strip). The primary is laminated with carbon fiber. This allows Baumüller linear motors to achieve consistently high stiffness and maximum continuous force, thanks to their improved capacity for heat dissipation.
LSA - The plug & play solution
LSE 10 - The customized solution
LSC - The ironless solution
LSE 50-90 - The solution for logistics applications
The scope of products and services provided is not merely limited to linear motor components. On the contrary, Baumüller offers the user a plug & play solution with clearly defined interfaces that can be immediately connected to his machine, in the form of a very compact and flexibly designed complete linear axis, LSA, which is essentially comprised of linear components, a guidance system, a mechanical structure, and a length measuring system.

The 3 phase brushless (or AC servo) linear motor is ideal for high force, long stroke, closed loop servo, and linear motion applications. They can be used at speeds up to 240 in / sec [6 m / sec]. They are capable of very precise position, velocity and acceleration control when coupled with a linear encoder.
The 3-phase coil assembly can be commutated trapezoidally using optional Hall Effects or sinusoidally using software commutation in conjunction with the appropriate motion controller and sinusoidal amplifier.
The short laminated moving coil assembly moves over the top of a magnet assembly. A customer supplied bearing system is required to guide the moving coil assembly and to maintain a .030" [0.75 mm] clearance between the coil and the magnet assembly.
There is a large magnetic attractive force between the coil and magnet assembly. The bearing system must be able to withstand this force in addition to whatever payload is being carried.
The power to the motor (from a customer supplied PWM 3 phase brushless servo amplifier) is supplied to the moving coil via a power cable.
The motors are available in 6 different widths and 4 different coil assembly lengths.
Advantages:
* Very low cogging
* High speed and accelerations of heavy payloads
* Capable of high forces
* Uses standard 3 phase brushless amplifier

We are pleased to introduce the new BLDC brushless micro gearmotors. This new series completes Intecnos range of DC micro gearmotors and offers ideal solutions for sectors such as industrial automation, automatic doors and windows, vending and many others.
The BLDC motors from the BL series are available in 3 sizes (torque from 0,05 Nm to 0,43 Nm) and they can be supplied with an integrated (IE version) or external drive. They are compact and low-cost being equipped with Hall sensors. These motors have a low voltage 24V, which optmises safety in the workplace, particularly in applications where the worker can be in direct contact with the motor.
To complete the gearmotor, we would use the reliable micro planetary gearbox from our standard series.
Gearmotors made up of BL motors and LN (low noise) gearboxes are particularly suitable for applications in the medical field and for applications that require a controlled movement.

Electronically commutated permanent magnet EC motors
EC direct current motors have very long lifetimes due to their electronic commutation (normally over 10,000 hours). Speed control can be realised via the electronics integrated in most models. Electronically commutated motors normally provide high torque even at lower speeds.
DC gear motors are available even as external and internal rotors.
The external rotor is characterised by a high torque and a high mass inertia of the rotor.
The internal rotor captivates by its excellent dynamics.

All AMETEK brushless DC motors and blowers require a motor/blower controller to operate. Many of these AMETEK BLDC motors and blowers feature a built in, integrated controller that takes the DC input from a power supply or battery and processes it into phase drive signals that are used to commutate the motor. Motors and blowers that require low voltage DC input (11 to 52 volts) that do not come equipped with an integrated, onboard controller, require one of the external controllers described in this section.

The DECS 50/5 (Digital EC Controller Sensorless) is a new controller for driving brushless DC motors without Hall sensors.
Typical sensorless drives such as pumps and fan applications can now easily be created thanks to modern technology and expert integrated controlling algorithms. maxon's own in-house developed speed controller is particularly impressive through its performance, price and size.
As well as being a top performer, attractively priced and very small, the new amplifier's other key feature is that it can be easily adapted to specific requirements. The free choice of starting sequence is a major benefit, as it allows the attached motor to start up easily, even when the motor data or load ratios are unfavourable. The DECS 50/5 also provides control inputs for selecting motor direction, enable and braking. As usual, the necessary protective functions have all been fully implemented. An operating status display (LED) and speed monitor output complete the convenient control features.

TMCM-160
Description
1-axis BLDC controller/driver module 5A/40V
The TMCM-160 is a controller / driver module for general brushless DC motor applications. It integrates velocity and torque control as well as a hall sensor based positioning mode. The position resolution depends on the motor, i.e. a standard 8 pole motor gives a motor axis resolution of 15 degrees. The module can be used in stand alone operation or remote controlled via a RS-232 or RS-485 interface (ordering option). Its small form factor (50 x 92 mm²) allows for integration onto a user board as a plug-on module or for panel mounting, by connecting flat ribbon cables to the two 2x13 2.54mm standard header connectors. Multi-axis drives can be easily realized by integrating multiple modules on one baseboard. A standard baseboard (BB-160) is available.
|
|
DAC Motors and Drives
The DAC family includes digital drives and brushless motors for axes motion control. The DAC and DSC drives have direct power (400V three phase) to simplify installation within the electrical cabinet to reduce cost and save space. To complete the family the DAM (Digital Axes Module) is available with a digital SERCOS connection to the numerical control. The drives' inherent noise immunity provides another advantage by significantly reducing wiring costs.
The associated DS series of motors are synchronous brushlesses with rare earth permanent magnets, and have a DC bus of 540 VCC. They provide high power with low current absorption, and improved dynamics with low losses.
