The Model 9717 is a high-resolution incremental encoder
that offers direct measurement of linear position or speed
without contact between the reading head and the glass scale.
When used with the optional HR2B or HR2C interpolator,
its optical resolution can be electronically increased and the output provided as quadrature square waves plus index from RS422 differential line drivers.

The LE²R family of linear position encoders offers an economical solution for various industrial applications that require high performance and durability. Available resolutions are from 2 u.m to 0.5 u.m and maximum error is 15 urn (over a range of 50 cm). Both absolute and incremental versions are available".
The LE²R family is based on proprietary non-contact capacitive sensing technology which combines high performance with mechanical ruggedness, and tolerance to air-gap variations, vibrations, humidity, dust, and temperature extremes.
The LE²R comprises a read-head which feeds excitation signals to a stationary scale and interfaces with the host system through the fully digital AqBiSS interface. The AqBiSS1" incorporates a high-speed serial link for the absolute/incremental position mode, and standard incremental AqB outputs, with index pulses every 4 mm or 2 mm - depending on the encoder type.
