Non-contact displacement sensors using eddy current technology measure distances, displacements, or positions of any electrically-conductive target. These objects may have both ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic properties. Due to the high insensitivity to oil, dirt, dust, moisture, interference fields, etc. the eddy current principle is ideally suited to applications in harsh industrial environments.
Eddy current sensors designed for industrial use in factory automation, for machine monitoring, for inspection and for measuring and testing.

With our new Laser-Distance Sensors DLS-B you measure absolute distances up to 500 meters. Thanks to state of the art laser technology the DLS-B device measures with a precision of 1.5 millimeters. It represents a cost efficient solution even at extreme environment temperatures as low as -40° C.
The DLS-B is an optical measuring device. You can measure, maintenance-free, distances on natural and reflective surfaces. You determine positions on objects difficult to access or with very high surface temperatures. Just as well you can measure distances in an aggressive environment in an easy and accurate way.
Serial, analog and digital interfaces are standard features for the complete DLS-B product line. This enables you to easily connect the DLS-B to a control system (SPS, IPC or PC)
The DLS-B device runs in a “Stand-alone-mode” and independently executes all programmed functions. Thanks to the flexible range of functions an external display can be connected directly to the DLS-B device via interface RS232 or RS422. Via a digital input, measurements can also be activated from an external button or switch.
For easy configuration of the DLS-B devices, the necessary software is at your disposal |

| Analog displacement sensors output a linear voltage or current signal which changes in proportion to the distance from the target. The characteristic curve is linear over the entire working range. These sensors are ideal for distance measurement, for sensing rotating objects, detecting longer travel by means of lateral approach or for detecting different materials.. |

Description
The displacement sensor D-01 makes use of the internal strain sensitivity of the FBG. The FBG is fixed inside a ruggedised stainless steel housing between two anchoring points. The housing is foreseen of a sliding mechanism that allows both ends to move freely relative to each other and an integrated spring mechanism that allows to slide over large distances without overstressing the FBG.
In order to compensate for temperature influences, a high resolution temperature probe is integrated within the housing.
The housing is made of stainless steel and is terminated with an optical connector or an integrated optical adapter. Pigtail lengths and connector can be specified following the needs of every application.
Features
The displacement sensor D-01 can measure displacement and temperature with a resolution of 0,05% Full Scale and 0,1 °C respectively and an accuracy of 1% Full Scale and 1 °C respectively. The displacement range can be chosen between 1 and 8 cm .
Applications
The displacement sensor D-01 can be applied for positioning measurements. The sensor can also be used with special packers in bore holes to determine geological settlements or can be surface mounted to detect movements between the anchoring points. |

| The Series 925 Linear Cable Reel Sensor can be used in any linear application up to 1200 inches. The system consists of a heavy-duty spring motor assembly attached to a precision-machined cable drum. As the cable is pulled off of the precision drum, the drum rotates a shaft connected to it. The shaft is precisely geared such that the full number of revolutions of the drum is equal to the appropriate number of revolutions required by the chosen sensor. There are three basic models. The Series 925 Linear Cable Reel Sensor can be used with our Series 1746 Resolver Input Card and a Series 2120 PLC Transducer Module. |

| Significant scientific and engineering enhancements in advanced materials, Pre-Process and In-Process production methods and in-site testing methods are driving the demand for displacement sensors that can handle extremely high temperatures up to 1832°F (1000°C). Contemporary producers of aircraft engine rotational alignment, plate glass, materials testing extensometry, continuous flow steel, now use standardized high temperature Capacitec sensor solutions for in-process applications to control the quality of their production on a real time basis. Qualification testing of disc brakes, jet engine dynamics and high speed shaft rotations also rely on Capacitec sensors. Advanced materials for automobiles, structural components, and aircraft are also tested for strength and durability with the use of Capacitec's line of extensometers and clip gauges. |

Duncan's Linear Motion Position Sensors offer a wide variety of types and characteristics that give the designer several alternatives. All linear position sensors are made from infinite resolution conductive plastic, characterized by long-life and smooth, low-noise performance.
These devices are excellent replacement alternatives to linear variable differential transformers (LVDTs). Life ranges from 2,000,000 cycles (5 million dither cycles for such products as the 9600 Series Microminiature Linear Sensor) to 100 x 106 traverses (up to 12" stroke derated proportionately for longer units). Shaft lengths, interconnections (threaded shafts, lead wire or terminal contacts), and special housing configurations are available. |

| Microprocessor chips have found their way into a surprisingly high number of products that are around us every day in our home, car and office. This explosion in worldwide demand has forced semiconductor manufacturers to enhance quality and throughput in ways never before imagined. Capacitec's microinch level positioning sensing systems assist chip processing and handling equipment manufacturers to sense silicon wafers for exact positioning prior to deposition, etching and other processing where generating unwanted particles is preferred. This is accomplished without coming into contact or damaging their highly sensitive surfaces. Other industries where sensitive surfaces must be measured damage free are printing presses, photocopier rollers, computer hard disc drives and molten materials. |

The ODS Red-line program is a series of sensors based on optical triangulation, with different measuring ranges and resolutions. All made to be used environments, ranging from the very hot and harsh applications in the heavy industry to delicate applications in the laboratory. Some models are particularly appropriate for cold or hot rolling of steel and metals. The ODS Red-line sensors are used either for larger measuring ranges or for applications where a long stand-of distance is needed along with high resolution.
Nine different measuring ranges are available, the smallest cover 450 to 550 mm and the largest 2000 to 4000 mm. ODS Red-line sensors are available with measuring frequencies of 1 kHz, 2 kHz and 5 kHz. Higher measuring frequencies deliver shorter distance between the individual measuring points on a moving target, and also increase the possibility of averaging sufficiently to obtain the required high resolution.
All ODS Red-line sensors are supplied with a Select functionality, allowing the sensor to be programmed to calculate a user defined running average. Free software provides easy setting of the Select parameters.
