Near-Infrared, Non-Invasive Tissue Oximeter
OxiplexTS is a revolutionary new device allowing the measurement of oxygenated and de-oxygenated hemoglobin concentrations in tissue. The device works by emitting Near Infrared (NIR) light into tissue at known distances from a collector. Light of two different wavelengths is used and the light is modulated at an RF frequency of 110 MHz. The collected light is measured and processed, and the absorption and scattering coefficients of the medium are determined. Once the absorption and scattering are determined, the assumption that hemoglobin is the only significant absorber is applied and the oxygenated and de-oxygenated hemoglobin concentrations are calculated.
The unique feature of the ISS OxiplexTS is that it uses the theory of photon migration through highly scattering media. This patented technology allows for the first time the absolute measurement of absorption and scattering in a highly scattering medium such as human tissue.
Since OxiplexTS measures the absorption and scattering of tissues directly, it does not require any calibration, estimation, or assumption about scattering in order to make an accurate measurement of absorption and, hence, hemoglobin concentrations. This unique ability to separate scattering from absorption sets the ISS OxiplexTS above all other NIR tissue oximeter technologies.

The total TDS is a mass estimate and is dependent on the mix of chemical species as well as the concentration while conductivity is only dependent on the concentration of chemical species. Some applications require the measurement of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in mg/L, parts per million (ppm) or parts per thousand (ppt). The TDS concentration can be obtained by multiplying the conductivity
value with a factor which is empirically determined. Eutech offers meters that allow the direct reading
of TDS values. These include the TDSTestr series, EcoScan TDS 6, CyberScan Standard Portables CON 11, CON 110 and Waterproof Portable CON 410. Bench meters for advanced level laboratory research are the CyberScan CON 510, CON 1500 and colour touchscreen research-grade CON 6000.

ATI Model Q45D Dissolved Oxygen monitor provides reliable oxygen measurement and reduced maintenance costs. The galvanic dissolved oxygen sensor uses a rugged 5 mil Teflon membrane to resist mechanical abrasions and tears. The membrane serves as a barrier to allow molecular oxygen to diffuse into the reaction cell where it is reduced, producing a small current which is proportional to oxygen concentration. To keep the dissolved oxygen system nearly maintenance free, an optional Auto-Cleaner can be included to remove those materials that build up on the sensor membrane. The cleaning cycle is user selectable to maximize the cleaning effectiveness.

HI 2300 performs EC, TDS (Total Dissolved Solids), percentage of NaCl and temperature measurements. The auto-ranging feature for EC and TDS measurements automatically sets the resolution suitable to the tested sample.
All measurements can be temperature compensated at 20 or 25°C and the compensation coefficient is selectable by the user. The automatic temperature compensation can also be disabled for measuring the actual conductivity value. The stability indicator on the LCD ensures accuracy.
Conductivity readings are performed by applying an alternate current to the 4-ring probe which creates a variable voltage directy proportional to conductivity.
The GLP feature allows users to store and recall data about system status.

Speedmax 400i
Speedmax® is an inline speed of sound measuring instrument for online determining of the concentration of liquid media. Speedmax® is especially suited for measuring dynamic processes in closed pipes of an automation environment. With the measured speed of sound and the temperature of the medium the current concentration of medium can be determined on basis of well known speed of sound curves.
Speedmax® is especially suited for quality assurance, to control continuous processes and min./max.limits in pipes. All parts having contact to the medium are PFA (New Teflon). Therefore Speedmax® can be used for very alkaline, very toxic and/or very aggressive media like concentrated acids and leaches. The measuring values of speed of sound and temperature are measured from outside through the measuring pipe. Process connections are free of seals using flare technology or NPT-screwing.
The design of the pipe minimizes dead volumes over the whole geometry. For output of measuring values a current output, limit outputs and a RS 485 interface are available.

Walchem’s WCU410 Copper Controller and WNI Nickel Controller are optoelectronic on-line analyzers that measure the actual concentration of copper or nickel in solution. They are used in a variety of applications including electroless plating baths and microeth baths (including oxide-replacement types).
The WCU410 may be switched from electroless copper to microetch via the menu, eliminating the need for a second controller. It reduces the need for manual titration, improves yield, and in microetch applications improves productivity by reducing the frequency of bath change-outs.
The WNI410 is available as nickel-only, or with a pH control option which may be added in the field. Two separate pump outputs for nickel and reducer and another for pH are used, each of which is capable of totalizing either pump on-time, volume pumped, or metal turnovers.
Integrated datalogging is available to validate system performance. A USB memory stick is all that’s needed to extract data and event logs that include copper or nickel measurements, and relay status. Download logs from the USB stick to a PC at your convenience. It couldn’t be easier!

DO stands for Dissolved Oxygen, which is the measure of amount of gaseous oxygen dissolved in a solution. In theory, the amount of DO in a solution is dependent on 3 factors, namely temperature, salinity and atmospheric pressure. The measurement of DO requires a special DO electrode that is made up of an anode, a cathode, electrolyte solution and a gas permeable membrane.
