Filter Bags
Accept Most Standard Filter Bags:
For application versatility these all plastic housings will accept most standard 7" diameter filter bags. The single length vessel uses Size 01 bags, 7" x 16", while the double length vessel uses Size 02 bags, 7" x 32". This permits the vessel to be used with thousands of different types of filter bags to exactly match the applications requirements. With a Hayward PVC or CPVC bag filter you are not limited to just a few "non-standard" size filter bags.
Advanced Design:
This all plastic housing is designed to stand up to the most demanding industrial and commercial applications around. Rugged, thick wall construction ensures years of trouble free service and the housing is rated at a full 150 PSI. The built-in true union piping and drain connections makes installation and operation quick and easy. With this feature the filter housing can be removed from the piping system without having to break down the piping system. Just unscrew the assembly nut and remove the connecting pipe. The integral mounting base also makes for an easy installation and eliminates the need for extra cost support legs. The housing has two bottom outlet connections so that either can be used as a drain connection. This makes possible both in-line or loop piping installations. The one-piece, corrosion resistant plastic body has an extremely smooth interior surface that is very easy to clean. The housing comes standard with a plastic cover vent valve.
Easy Bag Change:
The hand-removable, no tools required, spin-off cover makes filter bag changing quick and easy. There are no swing bolts to deal with as on a metal filter housing. Just a few turns of the built in 15" cover handle opens and closes the housing with little effort.
Corrosion is Never a Problem:
A metal filter housing will ultimately rust or corrode and contaminate the process media. This can never happen with a Hayward PVC or CPVC all plastic bag filter housing, it will never rust, corrode or contaminate the process media and the housings light weight makes installation easy.

The Right Configuration for Your Application:
Series 4200 cartridge filter housings are offered in three sizes - making it easier to choose the exact filter for your application requirements. And you can choose between two types of Hayward cartridges. Hayward HC cellulose cartridges are perfect for all types of water filtration up to 165°F. Their special design packs 47 sq ft of filter media into a 16" tall cartridge. Hayward PF polypropylene cartridges are silicone-free and feature graded density construction for superior particle retention.
Duplex Models:
Choose a Hayward Series 4200 duplex cartridge filter for those applications where the pipeline flow cannot be shut down to change out filter cartridges. Duplex filters allow the pipeline flow to be diverted to one of the two filter housings. This permits the off-line housing to be serviced without flow shutdown.

TECSI filtering systems are used to separate the solid particles suspended in liquids through the use of filtering elements called cartridges. The range includes filtering systems with SELF-CLEANING and STATIC LINE filters.
The liquid to be filtered passes through a cartridge and deposits the suspended solid particles on the inner surface of the cartridge, coming out with the desired filtration degree. The special design of the filter cartridges permits only the passage of the particles smaller than the the chosen filtration degree.The gear reduction unit, driven by the control unit, causes the rotation of the scraper blades carrier shaft,to remove the impurities that have stuck on it. Blades are available in PTFE, stainless steel * PTFE or a special patented system, suitable for the elimination of fibres that are hard to remove from the inner surface of the filter. All the dirty is the eliminated through a pneumatically controlled total-passage stainless steel discharge valve, fitted on the bottom of the filter.

Ensures that dirt accumulated in the filter element is removed along with the element and cannot return to the tank. When the screw-on cap is removed for maintenance, the foot valve closes automatically. This makes it possible to service the filter even if it is submerged below the oil level in a full tank.

Active Carbon
Carbon Bed Filters are of vertical fabricated construction generally mounted on skirts.
In operation, the process fluid enters the filter above the bed, through the inlet nozzle and via radial distribution lateral, designed to ensure an even flow distribution over the top surface of the carbon.
The contaminated medium passes through the granular activated carbon bed, where the impurities are attracted to the very high surface area of the Carbon.
The carbon bed is supported on a graded 'Silex' base consisting of a course and fine layer of which will fully support large volumes of carbon.

Each filter houses bag type elements mounted onto a division plate and held positively in position by means of snap rings.
The elements are manufactured from man-made cotton fibre and offer high dirt holding capacity combined with a low maintenance costs and quick change out of filter bags, making this a cost effective means of filtration.
The filter bags are fully supported in robust stainless steel support housings, and will meet the levels of efficiency corresponding to your requirements. |

Single Jumbo Cartridge Housings
Jumbo cartridge filter housings are designed to accept a single cartridge for easy installation and replacement. Options include 304L or 316L stainless steel; band clamp or swing bolt closures. Design pressure 150 psi (10 bar) @300º F (149º C). Standard inlet and outlet connections are 2" MNPT, with pressure gauges body mounted for easy viewing of differential pressure. Standard finish is Poly-coat over stainless. All Jumbo models are standard with mounting legs and grounding lug. Standard gasket is FDA grade Buna-N. Electro polishing and other options are available by special order.

Liquid line and suction line filter-driers are often referred to as System Protectors because they remove harmful elements from the circulating refrigerant before serious damage results.
Keeping the system clean and free of foreign contaminants that can restrict the operation of valves, block capillary tubes or damage compressors is the best way to assure trouble-free operation. These contaminants can be solids, such as metal filings, flux, dust and dirt. Other equally menacing contaminants are solubles, such as acid, water, resins and wax.
No matter how many precautions are taken during assembly and installation or servicing of a system, contaminants can find a way into the system. Filter-driers are designed to protect a system during operation. It is the function of this all-important unit to remove those residual elements that can attack and eventually destroy the system components. |

CP capsules are designed and manufactured by Critical Process for small flow and encapsulated disposable cartridge requirements. CP capsules are offered in a wide range of pleated and depth medias and offered in four grades; general, food / beverage, electronic and pharmaceutical. Each Capsule has been designed to hold the maximum amount of filter media that can be completely and effectively utilized in a capsule. CP capsules lower the cost of filtration and reduce the need for high cost metallic housings. They are well suited for liquids and gas applications with the same attention to quality, traceability, validation and testing.

Nominal Rated Pleated Cartridges
Shelco® introduces its full line of nominal rated pleated filter cartridges. With more square feet of filtering media, this cartridge offers more dirt holding capacity and longer changeout intervals then any other cartridge on the market. Made of economical polyester/polypropylene blended media, these cartridges are the best alternative to string wounds, resin boned, or spun cartridges. The MicroSentryTM ME pleated cartridges are made of 100% synthetic fibers to eliminate any contamination from binders or additives. Filtering liquids or air in hostile environments-such as those subject to temperature extremes, high orders of shock/vibration, and caustic fuels or fumes-has posed problems for paper filter elements. These types of elements simply will not withstand these types of operating conditions.
Since paper filters are typically composed of organic materials, they are also subject to attack by the caustic byproducts of many industrial processes- such as those involving combustion. For example, corrosion often takes place when high-temperature lubricating oils are loaded with such acids. After extended use, the surface area of the paper filter becomes heavily loaded, resulting in filter weak spots. (If the pressure relief valve is not set low enough, and the pressure is allowed to remain at normal operating pressure [500 to 700 kPa], paper filter elements may tear, fracture, or even burst.)
Sintered metal filters-due to their granular construction-are also prone to fracture or disintegration when subjected to the stresses of high temperature and shock. Unless the fusion process involved in their construction is 100% complete, small particles may begin to break away. As a result, when installed on either rotating or reciprocating machinery, little particles of filter material very frequently detach and migrate to block the very devices the filter was designed to protect. |

We have years of experience designing and building custom foreline traps to protect pumps and eliminate buildup of condensable by-products in forelines and exhaust lines. Examples of these include water-cooled and particle traps for LPCVD, PECVD, metal CVD, MOCVD and metal etch. Others are particle traps for crystal growers, liquid traps for reclamation of photo resist and oil reclamation traps for industrial applications. High capacity and multi-stage traps are also available. Often times our customers see a 200% increase in preventative maintenance intervals after installing one of these traps.

Maxflow combines filtration without filter aids - or, if they are required, with considerably reduced quantities of filter aids - and briquetting in a single unit. The main fields of application for Maxflow are particle filtration, the retrieval of recyclable materials and the purification of aqueous solutions.

SC series cartridges have been designed to tackle the toughest of filtering applications. The cartridges are available in 304 or 316 Stainless steel with a complete option of end cap configurations. | EPS cartridges are designed to meet the special needs of the electronics and high purity chemical industries. Polyethersulfone membrane cartridges are resistant to most acids and bases and capable of handling strong sanitization agents.
