An Important Advance in Cartridge Filtration:
Now you can have all the benefits of cartridge filtration for industrial and commercial applications - while getting complete corrosion resistance. Hayward's one-piece, seamless, plastic-body cartridge filters will never rust or corrode, nor will they contaminate the process fluid.
Thousands of Applications:
Hayward's Series 4200 all-plastic cartridge filters have been designed to work in the most demanding of applications - whether for high purity water or aggressive chemical filtration. These heavy-wall-housing filters will withstand operating pressures of up to 150 PSI with no problem. Series 4200 filters will work in corrosive atmospheres and harsh environments, places where a metal housing would have to be painted or epoxy-coated just to survive. All this, plus light weight and easy installation, make the Hayward Series 4200 cartridge filter right for your application.
The Right Configuration for Your Application:
Series 4200 cartridge filter housings are offered in three sizes - making it easier to choose the exact filter for your application requirements. And you can choose between two types of Hayward cartridges. Hayward HC cellulose cartridges are perfect for all types of water filtration up to 165°F. Their special design packs 47 sq ft of filter media into a 16" tall cartridge. Hayward PF polypropylene cartridges are silicone-free and feature graded density construction for superior particle retention.
Duplex Models:
Choose a Hayward Series 4200 duplex cartridge filter for those applications where the pipeline flow cannot be shut down to change out filter cartridges. Duplex filters allow the pipeline flow to be diverted to one of the two filter housings. This permits the off-line housing to be serviced without flow shutdown.

The use of Cartridge Filters is a simple, low cost, filtration method that is well suited to a variety of applications and works well with many types of first stage pre-filters or separators. The typical pleated type filter elements provide a good amount of filter area for reasonable life and good contaminant removal. Best suited for operations which generate modest contaminant loads and require fairly infrequent element changes, they offer compact size, minimizing floor space requirements. Depending on the particular application they can be used as full flow filters where all the coolant being delivered to the work zone is filtered or as side stream or kidney loop filters to maintain contaminants in the machine sump at reasonable levels.

Flowtron AC Series
Self-Cleaning Cartridge Air Cleaners
Quiet, Efficient Operation
The Flowtron Air Cleaner is packed with design features that go straight to the bottom line. The film-laminated media is state-of-the-art for collecting fine dust in heavy concentrations from a wide range of welding, grinding, and finishing operations. The large capacity dust filters clean thoroughly off-line for the lowest cost per pound of collected dust, and the low-speed backward inclined blower reduces the energy cost of moving the air.
SRR Self-Cleaning System
As compressed air reaches near-sonic velocity exiting from our Sonic Resonating Rapperª, its whipping motion raps the inside of the cartridge, dislodging even the material deeply packed into the pleats.

Multi-Purpose Dust Collection for Industry
The Filter 1 Pulsatron PFV Series of Dust Collectors utilize high efficiency cartridge filters to provide effective collection of a broad range of dust particles and contaminates, such as wood, composites, plastic, dry powder, metals, toner, and cement. Operations include grinding, sanding, foundry, welding, fabrication, blasting, metallizing, and powder coating. The Pulsatron is designed for customization to unique applications. It is available in configurations of variable dimensions, number of cartridges, and optional features to effectively clean particulates ranging in type, size, and loading amount.
The vertical orientation of the cartridge in the Pulsatron PFV allows the dust to be blown off and fall directly into the hopper. Power-pulse reverse-jet cleaning, backflushing the filters with short bursts of compressed air, operates on a solid state controller to provide automatic cleaning. The unit is available with optional backward inclined direct drive blowers for quiet, efficient operation.
Features
- High efficiency cartridge filters vertically oriented for effective dust removal
- Automatic power-pulse reverse-jet cleaning for continuous duty, uninterrupted filtration
- 3 phase TEFC motor on rubber vibration mounts
- Welded heavy-gauge steel construction with industrial epoxy gulf blue coating
Options
- Various Filter Medias to Fit the Application: 80/20 Blends, Spun Bond Polyester, Phenolic or PTFE Coated, Fire Resistant, High Temperature, Metal Impregnated
- Magnetic Motor Starters
- Hopper Slide Gate
- HEPA or CARBON Safety Afterfilters with Visible/Audible Alarms
- Backward Inclined Direct Drive Blower

Pulse Jet Cartridge Collectors
U.S. Air Filtration cartridge collectors offer significant advantages for many different applications. Each pulse jet dust collector is custom-engineered to a specific pressure or vacuum. Our cartridge collectors feature high efficiencies that are particularly important for applications involving toxic dusts or where air is being re-circulated. A cartridge collector is quite compact relative to the amount of airflow passing through them because of the large amount of media contained in each cartridge.
Cartridge collectors present minimal safety risks to workers changing the elements because they do not have to enter the collector to remove the filters. They remain in an outside "fresh air" environment, where their lungs, skin, and clothing have very little contact with dust inside the collector. Pulsejet bags cartridges can be replaced quickly, and workers are not exposed to the dusts. U.S. Air Filtration collectors and cartridges are engineered to work together as an integrated system. With 14 collector lines and 12 proprietary filter cartridges, U.S. Air Filtration can design a dust collection solution for your exact needs.
