Switching, Protection, Communication – Circuit-Breakers and Switch-Disconnectors up to 1600 A
It has arrived, our new homogenous circuit-breaker series
The Moeller principle of innovation and future security of investment has been implemented by the new circuit-breaker series up to 1600 A.
Four switches with four levels of switching capacity
Four switches with four universal levels of switching capacity form a comprehensive range, from the competitively priced 25 kA for small sub-distribution boards, up to 150 kA switching capacity for complex high-power systems. The compact construction of the new small 160 A switch saves space as a main switch in machine control schemes, as an incomer in service distribution boards or as an outgoer in power distribution boards. Additional device levels are 300 A, the particularly compact 630 A, and the large 1600 A circuit-breaker.

If a magnetic relay coil is opened and closed near an electronic circuit, malfunctioning of the electronic circuit could be induced by a surge voltage. The UN-SA type surge absorber suppresses the surge voltage when the coil is opened and closed. In addition to the general varistor type and the CR type that lays importance on suppressing the induction voltage when starting, the type with operating indicator (varistor type), and the varistor type with CR are available.

No electrical system can do without circuit breakers, as they are the 'stop' signs acting when too much current is flowing through electrical wiring.
In fact, they are essential devices and one of the most important safety mechanisms for the prevention of dangerous situations. The value of circuit breakers depends on which appliances are connected. You can either order a ready-made switchboard with the most common circuit breaker values, or give the installer or distributor a list of your specific values for a tailor-made solution.

Description
Special technical features of dead-tank design. The distinguishing feature of dead-tank technology is that the interrupter chamber is accommodated in an earthed metal housing. With this arrangement the SF6 gas filling insulates the high voltage live parts of the contact assembly from the housing. Outdoor bushings connect the interrupter chamber with the high-voltage terminals.

Typical Applications
Warn of trouble by providing an alarm output if a process signal exceeds a high or low limit.
Create an independent emergency shut-down system to avert undesirable situations in the event of central power failure or DCS shutdown.
Combination alarm trip and transmitter modules reduce costs when both alarming and monitoring functions are needed at the same location.
Sense dangerous conditions, and shut down equipment, before it is damaged.
Compare two variables and trip an alarm when the difference between the two exceeds a preset value.
Install multi-trip alarms to provide several levels of warning and shutdown actions.
Use for reliable, and cost-effective, on/off control of pumps and motors.

Description
Special technical features of live-tank design: On live-tank circuit-breakers, the interrupter chamber is arranged in the insulator which can be either porcelain or of a composite material, and is at high potential; with the voltage level determining the length of the insulators for the interrupter chamber and the insulator column.

General description:
EntelliGuard® G circuit breakers are the newest line of GE low-voltage circuit breakers, the next step in the evolution of a line known for its exceptional reliability and performance. They are available in 3- and 4-pole designs rated from 400A to 6000A, with fault interruption ratings up to 150kAIC
Integral to the EntelliGuard G breakers are the new, state-of-the-art EntelliGuard TU Trip Units, which provide superior system protection, system reliability, monitoring and communications. The breaker-trip unit system delivers superior circuit protection without compromising either selectivity or arc flash protection.
The EntelliGuard breaker-trip unit system demonstrates yet again GE's core competencies in reliable electric power distribution, circuit protection and personnel protection.
Modern economic reality and the regulatory environment demand system performance while recognizing the need to protect against the arc flash hazards that expose maintenance personnel to dangerous levels of heat, electrical energy, debris from damaged equipment and concussive forces. The challenge is to provide both better personnel protection by minimizing arc flash hazards and maintain electrical power to mission-critical loads. But these objectives often seem to conflict, pitting the speed and sensitivity required to optimize safety against the sequence of operations and interlocking required to maximize power system availability.

Raychem PESD electrostatic discharge protection devices are designed for I/O port protection in high-speed data transmission applications, PESD devices shunt ESD away from sensitive circuitry in electronic devices. The PESD devices provide exceptionally low capacitance, they perform better than other comparable components in TLP (transmission line pulse) testing, as well as IEC61000-4-2 testing, especially after multiple hits (up to 1000). The devices offer a lower trigger voltage and a lower clamping voltage than typical polymer ESD (electrostatic discharge) devices, resulting in improved protection of sensitive electronic components.

Application - Miniature circuit breakers ETIMAT DC are
used for protection of conductors in direct current
electric circuits. 1-pole circuit breakers are used for
voltages up to 220 V d.c.
and for higher voltages (up to 440 V d.c.) 2-pole circuit
breakers with poles connected in a series.
When connecting the MCB ETIMAT DC man must pay
attention to polarity.
If connected in a wrong way, the MCB can be destroyed.
You cannot use two 1-pole MCBs instead of one 2-pole MCB.
