DC operated Linear Variable Differential Transformers (LVDTs) have signal conditioning electronics built into the LVDT and require no calibration or special signal conditioning. Units can be powered with uni- or bi-polar DC voltages and have scaled DC voltage, current or digital outputs. Ranges from +/-0.050” to +/-10.000” are available.
Position Sensor - DC-EC Series
Description: The DC–EC AccuSens™ Series incorporates a unique monolithic chip combined with a computer-designed AC LVDT to achieve premium performance. The ratiometric design of the monolithic circuitry compensates for power supply deviations for continuously stable operation. Unaffected by input variations, the transducer provides highly accurate, repeatable measurement. Innovative manufacturing techniques further enhance the AccuSens operation and cost efficiency. Micro-miniature components used in the construction of each unit are selected for maximum stability. Vacuum encapsulation of all elements produces an assembly tolerant to shock, vibration and other forms of physical abuse. Double magnetic shielding protects against stray electrical fields.

PENCIL PROBES WITH HIGH PRECISION POSITION TRANSDUCERS
The Red Crown pencil probes line developed by TESTAR, a MARPOSS division, to fulfil quality control requirements in the workshop is available in four variants:
Basic line:
A family of 52 standard models covering a measuring range from ± 0,5 mm to ± 5 mm. The pencil probes are supplied with full-bridge (LVDT) or half-bridge (HBT) transducer already calibrated for connection to any TESTAR electronic display units.
Compatible line:
A comprehensive list of probes covering the TESTAR standard measuring ranges with appropriate electrical connector and calibrated to comply with your existing electronic display unit.
Unplugged line:
The 52 standard models of the basic line can also be provided without connector. The user can add the necessary connector and perform the appropriate calibration to the electronics in use.
Soft touch line:
Pencil probes especially designed with very low measuring force to directly gauge delicate parts such as glass, TV tubes, car windshields and plastic material.

The Columbia DDCP Series transducers are completely self-contained displacement measurement systems that operate from a low voltage DC power supply or battery. They permit highly accurate readout and recording of an output signal directly without auxiliary signal conditioning electronics. These sensors combine a unique linear differential transformer sensing system with a miniature solid-state oscillator / demodulator and amplifier in a compact design. The precisely calibrated scale factor provides an accurate, low impedance voltage output which is directly proportional to the linear movement of the shaft assembly relative to the transducer body.

SERIES 1000 Oscillator/Demodulator
The Series 1000 Oscillator/Demodulators are designed and built to provide DC-in/DC-out operation for AC LVDTs. For additional stability of the output signal, these units are internally regulated. Two versions are available for AC transducers that are optimized for either 3 or 7 kHz performance. VDC or 4-20 mA output versions also available.
SERIES P010 PC Board Oscillator/Demodulator
The Series P010 OEM PC Board Oscillator/Demodulators are designed and built to provide economical DC-in/DC-out operation for AC LVDTs. For additional stability of the output signal, these units are internally regulated. Two versions are available for AC transducers that are optimized for either 3 or 7 kHz performance. The small size of this board makes it ideal for applications where space is limited. End-users will also enjoy a significant cost savings over our Series 1000 O/Ds.

As well as the standard functions - preset, alarms, RS232 output, Max, Min, Difference, etc - Solartron digital readouts and dual digital displays boast a number of new functions.
For example, the new "Scaling Factor" function can be used to compensate for angled or lever operated probes, or diameter when measured in a V block. It also enables measurement of angles or squares.
Other new functions include the "Gauging Mode" - allowing global pass/fail evaluation of up to 30 scan channels -and "Max A +Max B".
Ergonomically designed for the operator, the DR700 can be used with multiple probe fixtures using either Linear Encoders, Digital Probes or a combination of both - making it a truly versatile addition to the Solartron "Orbit" range.

The new SI 3000 range of Controllers are specifically designed to operate with Solartron's extensive range measurement transducers, and/or third party transducers, such as pressure and temperature.
One of the main features is an intuitive menu-driven display, which can be programmed to display readings, set Limits/Alarms, Peak Hold, Track, or act as a Data Logger for inputs from one or two transducers
The SI 7500 is a multi axis metrology display that connects to a Solartron Metrology Orbit Network and accepts up to 16 Orbit Module inputs; such as Digital Probes, Linear Encoders and Analogue Input Modules. It features intuitive displays, helpful audio cues and user defined formulas. The SI 7500
also reports dynamic Min/Max measurements, provides SPC analysis from an integrated database and offers connectivity to PC's and other peripherals.
