SIR-3000 Series
Raid One Data Acquisition
The robust new SIR-3000 series recorders from Sony are a redundant, secure, customizable and networkable solution for today’s critical sound and vibration data acquisition requirements. The dependable new recorders limit the potential of having to repeat critical, difficult or expensive tests due to data acquisition failure.
The SIR-3000 Series features hot swappable, front mounted dual hard disk drives to protect valuable data in a RAID One array. The redundant high capacity 200GB drives insure high volume tests are accurately captured each and every time without the worry and expense of a drive or media failure.
Regardless of the sampling rate, the system accurately records data to the redundant hard disk drives at a 12Mbps recording rate. The test engineer can have direct access to specific data during post processing with the elimination of the need to wind and rewind the tape.
Sony has included data security features including a built-in Nickel metal-hydride battery back up for both main AC and DC power sources that provides an orderly shutdown to prevent data loss. The drive is also key lockable and can be quarantined for maximum-security.
Recording channels can be expanded up to 128 channels with additional units for data input. Two measuring unit options are also offered: the SIR-3032i with a sampling frequency of 48kHz(20kHz) or the SIR-3032W with a 192kHz(80kHz) sampling rate to further customize the system.

TopMessage and TopLab are similar devices and differ only in construction design. TopMessage is designed as a rail mounted device. Signals are connected via clamps.
Message devices can be easily integrated into existing company networks via its Ethernet interface. This means anybody within the network can have access to measurement data using their existing PCs.
Delphin's modular Message devices enables the acquisition of any physical values (e.g. temperatures, pressures, flows, vibration data). Measurement values are stored in the devices already scaled and lineated (e.g. bar, liter/sec, m/min, °C etc.). The scaling of thermocouples and RTD sensors are pre-configured.
A device comprises of 1 or 2 I/O modules which can be combined in any way required. Extension devices can be connected to the basic device, each also having 2 I/O modules. This means Message devices are suitable for both small and large applications.
Each analog input can be separately connected with RTD, thermocouple, volt or 20 mA signals. Expensive measuring transducers are no longer required and potential isolation means there is no need for isolating amplifiers. All I/O module analog inputs are set up as differential inputs.

The P635 is a single-width, 3U, PXI bus module with eight frequency measurement channels. This counter module can be used to monitor a variety of pulse sources. Moreover, its unique circuitry allows the monitoring of a wide range of frequencies without changing any module settings. TTL inputs are provided as well as differential input circuits, with filtering and hysteresis to provide high noise immunity. The switching threshold is programmable. The input voltage should be at least twice the threshold voltage for noise immunity. AC or DC coupling of the differential inputs is programmable on a per-channel basis.

The V200 is a single-width, C-size, register-based, VXIbus module that provides 16 or 32-channels of 16-bit resolution analog-to-digital conversion at sample rates up to 200 ksamples/s per channel. The sigma-delta architecture provides inherent filtering and synchronous sampling without the need for sample/hold amplifiers or sophisticated analog filters. A simple, 3-pole pre-filter assures no frequency aliasing. The module is divided into two channel groups, allowing one half of the channels to be operated at one clock rate, while the other half are operated at another clock rate. The groups can also be combined, operating the entire module at one clock rate.
Each channel has independently programmable input spans from +/-10 mV to +/-10 V provided by an Instrumentation amplifier front end. AC/DC coupling can also be programmed on a channel-by-channel basis. Channel calibration and self-test are performed automatically on command by the embedded DSPs. These DSPs also allow programmable level and slope limit checking.

|
The P210 can simultaneously sample 4 analog input channels with differential input configurations to achieve maximum noise immunity. It also provides 2-CH 12-bit analog outputs with waveform generation capabilities, which can be performed together with analog input functions. If more analog input or output channels are required, multiple modules can be synchronized through the PXI trigger bus.
The P210 card also features analog and digital triggering, 24-CH programmable digital I/O lines, and 2-CH 16-bit general-purpose timer/counters. The auto-calibration feature adjusts the gain and offset to a specified accuracy, eliminating the need to calibrate the modules by adjusting trimpots.

The device covers wide wavelength ranges and provides simultaneous measurements at very fast response rates and excellent wavelength resolution. High reliability (MIL STD 810E shock and vibration) is achieved through a rugged mechanical design with no moving parts. Periodic calibration is not required. Input/Output (I/O) is provided through a dual port RAM interface accessed through ADD/DAT bus direct connection or serial (RS232 or USB) communications
The WaveCaptureTM FBGA Series employs a highly efficient Volume Phase Grating (VPG®) as the spectral dispersion element and an ultra sensitive InGaAs array detector as the detection element, thereby providing high-speed parallel processing and continuous spectrum measurements. As an input, the device uses a tapped signal from the main data transmission link through a single mode fiber, then collimating it with a micro lens. The signal is spectrally dispersed with the VPG®, and the diffracted field is focused onto an InGaAs array detector. The control electronics read out the processed digital signal to extract required information. Both the raw data and the processed data are available to the host.
Key Features
- +/- 30pm EOL wavelength accuracy (see FBGA-IRS for higher wavelength accuracy)
- Excellent wavelength stability
- Athermal design enabling battery-operated portable operation
- Frequency response up to 5kHz
- Wide scanning range
- High dynamic range - 50 dB
- Hermetically sealed for use in harsh environment
- MIL STD 810F qualified
- Compact, card-mountable design

The DAQ500 Series are complete 16 or 32-channel multiplexed signal conditioning systems with a 16-bit resolution ADC and 10 BaseT Ethernet connectivity to a PC or laptop for setup, data display and processing. The ultra-compact 57.5mm (2.26") high, 112mm (4.41") wide, 220 mm (8.66") deep fully enclosed chassis weigh just 1.09kg (2.4lbs), making them suitable for in-vehicle applications. The DAQ500 Series chassis can be powered from DC voltage sources ranging from 10-18 volts. Power consumption is 10 watts for typical configurations, 30 watts maximum. Local data storage is available via a CompactFlashT module. Auto configuration on power-up provides stand-alone capability and along with the simple user interface makes data collection and storage a two-mouse click process.
The signal conditioning consists of 16 or 32 multiplexed differential input analog channels that can be configured with fixed 2-pole filters and fixed gains of 1/3 to 100. Filter options are available in a 1,2,5 progression from 10Hz to 1kHz. Filters and gain are configured in 8-channel groups. Input voltage ranges up to ±30 volts are supported. Channel inputs have over-voltage protection to 70 volts peak-to-peak. End-to-end channel calibration is accomplished by configuring the input multiplexers via software to receive a reference voltage provided by an internal calibrator.
Two channels of TTL level digital I/O are provided. These channels can alternately be configured as counter inputs. External sample clock and trigger inputs are provided as well. The internal sample clock can be programmed via software for sample rates from 0.0625Hz to 50kHz.
