To achieve this, defects such as curvature, camber, torsion, scuff marks and ripples must be removed by the use of levelling machines. Defects result due to coiling in the rolling mill, due to slitting lines or due to the punching process. Depending on the application, these defects have negative effects on further processing.

The SAFAN R-Brake is Safan's latest bending cell with 100 Ton compressional force and a bending length of 3100 mm. The robot arm has a capacity of 50 kilo. The arm can be moved horizontally on a 6 m. track in front of the machine.
The SAFAN R-Brake is very compact and the machine can also be operated manually. The machine is as standard equipped with a zero table but optionally the basic model can be equipped with a vision system for the zero positioning of the sheet.
For the off-line programming Safan is offering the RoboWave programming software which enables the user to make programmes for the bending cell and make an accurate simulation. The setup times are reduced using this software. Most important is the man machine interface.

RoboCell offers mid-level automation, combining an LVD PPEB or Easy-Form® Series CNC press brake with a multi-axis Kuka robot to efficiently handle small to medium-sized components in capacities from 80 to 110 tonne bending force and 2.5 or 3.0 meter table configurations.
RoboCell increases machine throughput by automatically loading, forming and stacking finished parts in an unmanned process, providing high-precision parts, shorter cycle times and lower production costs.
All functions of the RoboCell robot and press brake are controlled through instructions from an integrated off-line programming software solution, resulting in repeatable, high-quality formed parts produced in a non-stop process.
RoboCell may be integrated with an LVD Easy-Form® press brake. In addition to the robot and press brake, RoboCell includes hardware for all part handling requirements in the automated bending process.
RoboCell is equipped with LVD’s CADMAN® Touch intuitive touch screen control system to simplify operation. Robot programs, simulation and gripper configurations are efficiently calculated offline by LVD’s CADMAN B – 3D programming software and the Kuka Sim software to ensure consistent production of accurate, high quality parts.
RoboCell can function as a fully automated system or the press brake can be operated manually via the CADMAN® Touch control. The system features a full 2.0 m of space between the robot and the press brake, and the press brake is maintained at its normal working height, facilitating standalone operation.

Changing technique for rapid die change:
Die changing technique using roller bars, ball bars, ball inserts, carrying consoles and die carts. Everything to allow easy and safe die changing.
Carrying consoles – Die changing consoles:
Consoles to permit easy, safe and efficient die change on the press bed. Carrying console, either swivelling or supported, for large weights of up to 250 kN. Set-up times reduced to a minimum, this guarantees more efficient use of the machine and a high degree of operational safety.
Die carts for rapid die change:
HILMA die carts facilitate the handling of heavy dies. All the robust die carts are designed for changing dies weighing up to 40 kN on presses and machines without risk of accidents, without using force and in an efficient (time-saving) manner. Their solid construction guarantees a long service life. The die carts designed to withstand the harsh conditions prevailing in a press shop are very reliable “partners”.

Bespoke 'T' & 'B' Block Systems for Rapid Tool

The Omnitrack 'T' & 'B' Block systems are designed to facilitate
rapid tool change on any type of press / machine.
The standard format consists of housed spring-loaded Ball Units
which are inserted into the tenon slots of the press. When in the
raised position, the balls protrude above the bed level allowing
the tool to be rolled onto the bed and positioned accurately.
When clamping is carried out the balls retract, lowering the tool
onto the press bed. When clamping is released the balls lift the
tool, allowing it to be rolled from the press.
Standard slot dimensions for 'T' & 'B' bars are shown. We also
manufacture these systems for non-standard slots. Ball pitch,
deflection, load and clamping are application specific. Contact

The slots in the press table define the shape and size of the required ROLLBLOC die lifters.
ROLLBLOC ball version offer the advantage of being able to easily move dies in any direction. In conjunction with different die formats, this advantage ensures particularly short setup times.
ROLLBLOC roller version offer double the load bearing capacity. They enable exact linear transfer of the die. This linear technology requires accurate die positioning during transfer to the die table or to the die loading arms.
To further reduce rolling friction, we recommend hardened strips on the underside of the die. Unlike the ball version, the ROLLBLOC die lifter with rollers can also be used in the die base plate (overhead installation).

The 150 Series of low speed granulators is intended primarily for beside-the-press injection moulding applications. Immediate recycling of sprues and reject parts maintains product quality and eliminates the distribution and storage of waste and regrind.

The automatic strapping machine mod. 078 is ideal to vertically strap pallets or stacks of corrugated carboard that need to be kept compact and together during transport and storage.

The Power master 10481 is a high performance strapping press of the most recent generation, manufactured in our plant in Wuppertal. With an infinitely adjustable compression automatic height seeking of incoming loads for faster troughput and numerous variations of pallet and load handling equipment for feed, center and turn the Sander power master can be integrated very easy in automatic packing lines. As a special feature the electric motor driven compression platen includes a permanent accurate compression sensing which is a requirement in the corrugated and paper industry. This ensures an intermittent further compression cycle. Both PET or PP strapping material can be used with the machine. The Sander GS-41 strapping head guarantees a solid vibration seal joint without any emissions of vapors.
