The SafeC 200 safety relay takes over the evaluation of all standard safety components such as e.g. light curtains, emergency STOP buttons, safety edges or interlock switches.
Thanks to the high-performance integrated safety circuits of the SafeC 200, for the majority of applications no supplementary relay is needed. Additionally multiple status outputs ensure a simple communication with every standard SPS and guarantee a reliable and faultless controlling. Even the most demanding of applications relating to Safety Category 2 of EN 954-1 are fulfilled by the SafeC 200 safety relay.

Safety-implemented circuits must be control reliable as mandated in U.S. and European standards. Control reliability is not provided by simple redundancy. There must also be monitoring of the safety circuitry to assure that redundancy is maintained. Monitoring may be achieved by using Omron STI safety monitoring relays that range in function from two-hand palm button control to dual channel input units with time-delayed outputs that conform to ANSI B11.19-2003, Section 6.1 for Performance of the Safety Related Function(s). All safety relays carry the CE mark and are designed to incorporate three points of safety in their operation to meet both European and U.S. requirements. All safety relays are UL and C-UL listed.

Multifunction Safety Units (MFUs) provide relay output switching capability. They are typically used in conjunction with the 1000 Plus Series range of safety light curtains, which incorporate two fail-safe, electronic output switches as standard. The SK-Series Control Relay is designed to be used in conjunction with safety elements such as Safety Contact Mats, Safety Contact Edges or Safety Contact Bumpers.
