The Protector is ATI Industrial Automation’s patented collision sensor designed to prevent costly damage to robotic end-effectors resulting from robot crashes. The Protector’s features include: automatic reset, high repeatability, large moment rotation, rugged design and low cost.
The automatic reset feature particularly benefits workplace safety. After the robot crashes, the Protector will automatically reset when the robot removes the tooling from the crash-causing object and when torsional rotation does not exceed 20-25 degrees.
Compliant in the X, Y and Z axes, this capability provides a safer method for resetting by making it unnecessary for personnel to enter the robotic work cell.

act/weld enables the user to graphically program a robot from a virtual scene and qualified welding conditions. The parts or assemblies to be welded, together with the tooling, are imported from a 3D CAD system via native or neutral formats (STEP and IGES). A specific simulator enables users to take into account all controller parameters and to simulate the movements of the robot on the screen.
act/weld integrates welder know-how together with programming and simulation tools that enable the user to create his programs optimally, and even to validate the design of a tooling or to study a cell layout.
A post-processor specifically adapted to the controller allows the generation of the programs executed with act/weld in robot language. The integration of functions specific to cell and part-program sizing enables the user to take into account all automatic error correction functions relative to robots (shifting of trajectories via sensing of joint follow-up, laser camera…) and it is possible to upload the modified programs in the robot in order to optimize programming.

act/cut 3d is aimed at programming all 3D-cutting installations (laser, water-jet, plasma) whatever the number of axis. Furthermore, act/cut 3d offers another specificity: the software can be extended to other technological processes such as laser welding and polishing.
From a true 3D-representation of the machine (kinematics, axis limits...) and its environment,
act/cut 3d allows a very quick definition of cutting contours on CAD-imported parts. In addition, the software enables you to automatically model the tooling based on the 3D model of the part. Then, the software generates the head trajectories using a powerful algorithm that optimizes the paths with collision avoidance. Creating and validating the cutting program is easily carried out thanks to the realistic simulation functions and automatic control functions combined with visual displays of anomalies.
act/cut 3d is an autonomous programming software that pilots all machine and robot trademarks. Moreover, for 5-axis machines that may have to cut flat sheets, the 2D programming modules are provided with act/cut 3d. For companies that might have to cut tubes, the optional module act/tubes that includes specific features for tubes cutting (modeling, nesting and programming) can be combined with act/cut 3d.

The washing machine with an anthropomorphic robot is particularly recommended for the precision treatment of complex components, including of different shapes.
Inserting the robot into the washing machine (whether of the booth, transfer or pallet recirculating type) allows, after a simple programming of the movements, positioning the spray fixed to the wrist near the critical recesses to be fluxed.
The robotized solution is ideal if the customer needs perfectly washed complex components but without having production volumes on the individual product that justify the use of tailor-made machines. With the implementation of high pressure circuits (400-800 bar) the anthropomorphic robot machine is particularly suitable for deburring operations.
