Small but strong MMA professionals
Our PICO machines are small, robust and lightweight - in other words, specially developed for construction site and assembly usage. And now they're even stronger!
The PICO MMA professionals from EWM are now even stronger! An intelligent casing design ensures greater performance via better cooling thanks to an optimised cooling air supply - and dirt is kept out of the machine. As ever our PICOs are small and at just 4.8kg (PICO 162) very lightweight and compact - so are ideal for all open-air applications. They have excellent ignition and welding properties optimised for the various electrode types due to arcforcing, hotstart and antistick as standard. The small MMA professionals are idea for use in any construction site application thanks to safe welding operation with long mains supply leads, on cable drums, on weak mains systems and on a generator. The PICOs are really tough as functionality and safety are ensured if dropped or knocked thanks to the intelligent casing design and plastic. This makes them ideal for construction sites and assembly work! |

The TIME Process is a tried and tested high-performance welding process for manual and mechanised applications that has been doing sterling service in industry for many years. By “high-performance”, we mean a welding process that achieves either a deposition rate of at least 8 kg/h, or a wirespeed of at least 15 m/min with 1.2 mm steel wire.
Now the TIME Process has been totally digitised. With all the attendant benefits that come as standard with Fronius digital welding systems, such as: 100 % reproducibility of all welding results, modular system principle, digital microprocessor control, superb welding properties. |
|
The latest generation of welding equipment can be programmed with specific process preferences of your individual choice or for the actual welding processes. Based on a solid state power source, it weighs just 1/80 of the 70 year old ancestors but has more power. Our different plasma cutting equipment enables you to quickly and accurately cut all types of metals.

|
Cold Metal Transfer (CMT), a new chapter in the history of welding. The TPS 5000 CMT is a fully digital micro-processor controlled inverter welding system that supports the Fronius CMT process. Besides MIG/MAG, the system is also suitable for TIG and electrode welding.
The innovation that the CMT process introduces is that wire feeding is integrated into process control. This makes it possible to reduce the amount of heat applied; and that means no spatter on the work piece join.
The TransPuls Synergic 5000 CMT with 500 A is ideal for applications in the automotive and automotive supplies industry, avionics and spaceflight, metal working and portal building. In fact, the system is suitable for any automated or robot assisted job. The typical fields of application are thin and ultra-thin sheet joins of 0.3 mm or more, MIG soldering of galvanized sheet metal, and steel/aluminum joints.

Metal Inert Gas welding and Metal Active Gas welding are the most widely used welding processes in the world today. The range of possible uses is especially wide in the case of the versatile MAG process, which is suitable for unalloyed, low-alloy and high-alloy base metals. This makes it ideal for use in both the production field and for repair welding. The MIG process, on the other hand, is used for aluminium and copper materials.
All in all, then, a highly versatile welding process. |
|
Manual Metal Arc welding, also known as manual electrode welding, is a process with which virtually all metals can be welded. This process is also excellent for outdoor use. Incidentally, most of our MMA machines also permit TIG welding.
Manual electrode welding is a very widely practised and easy-to-use welding process. |

EFD presents the new ProcessMate 6100 Hot Air Reflow System. This digital bench top reflow system uses an active feedback loop to accurately control air temperature to ± 5ºC. Temperature ranges from 100ºC to 480ºC adjustable in 1ºC increments. The diaphragm pump provides an adjustable, repeatable, constant air flow.
When used with EFD SolderPlus® dispensing solder paste, the ProcessMate 6100 reduces operator variability, rework and scrap while increasing productivity and production yields without special training requirements typical of wire-and-iron soldering. The precise temperature and air flow control allows for a larger process window for reflow without overheating components. Operators are able to visually observe solder being reflowed to prevent common soldering defects. |
